The Story of Baby Prince..... BABY PRINCE, or the creature formerly known as Sade`s personal disco ball, brings nothing to your party and he doesn´t want to be there. Yes, he can be known by other names and times he has been known to haunt: Brooklyn’s Marcy Hotel, Partner of Wolf and Lamb, Monsieur G. Mizrahi. And yes, these labels, parties and friends were a moment that called out to all of us, saying „slow down, listen, and think“, and all the points in this constellation continue to have their place in dance music. But in the case of the now, and of our dear Baby Prince, what exactly are we reckoning with? A misanthropic lover of twisted psychic carnivals, whose untimely devotion – to staying at home instead of going out – forces a reassessment of the clubbing times we inhabit, the places that we frequent, and the music that supposedly gets us there. Joy and Pain, Sunshine and Rain: as the universe casts the dice of life, the souls of decadents deviously gather the fruits of electronic dance music, roaming among the insipid kickdrums of third-wave detroit techno and paltry reproductions of „deep“ Chicago house. But sometimes, a being of magnitude and depth unleashes a force upon these agitated masses: a blistering liberation of the sleepless crackers, those yellow-bellied fiends of the night who circulate mindlessly from one speaker stack to the next. Baby Prince, however, seems not to care about all of this. Well, perhaps that is untrue; perhaps even unfair. For given his penchant to mix stiff drinks with sequined headbands and 100 bpm sex jam anthems, you may find that despite his own best efforts, the party seethes through his soul, lying dormant like an itch he can’t scratch until the release of the first record he drops. And yes, this all plays quite well to your and to my advantage, dear friend. Nickodemus is a traveler at heart—a connecter of worlds, scenes, and people since the late-90s. Over his extensive career as a touring DJ and producer, including four albums and canonical tunes like “My Swing es Tropical” and “Cleopatra in New York”, he’s helped pave the way for an inimitable mix of global fusion and the heavy beats we yearn for in the club. His music has long thrived on the close relationships and mutual respect of friends he’s built across the continents, felt through the worldly potions he cooks up in the studio, and spanning electronic sounds rooted in Latin, African, and Eastern instrumentation. His latest album, A Long Engagement, serves as a culmination of the inspirations he’s absorbed and remains rooted in his life as native New Yorker and the city’s nostalgic energy. Nickodemus’ sound is often focused on the connective tissue of his many live collaborations and the electronic solitude of his studio (or record-filled bubble, as he calls it). Straight out of Brooklyn, New York, Simon Heyliger is walking in the footsteps of some of the most recognized DJ's out today; who have all had an impact on his style. He was partying at Club Exit, a New York City Super Club in the late 90's, watching 3,000 people dancing and having the time of their lives when Simon realized his dream of touring the world and becoming an internationally known Disc Jockey. He wanted to be the one to provide this therapeutic enjoyment to the masses through dance music. And with that in mind, DJ Simon Heyliger was born. His unique style of spinning consists of electronic music genres such as House, Tech House and Techno. He is constantly inspired by legendary New York City disc jockey, Danny Tenaglia. He was the head dance buyer and started the US distribution wing for many US labels at Halcyon Records shop from 2008 until 2016. Taimur’s work helped lead the resurgence of the local Brooklyn scene. With 18+ years of history and accolades for helping to revive one of the world’s most important dance music scenes, Taimur and Blk|Market Membership holds a highly esteemed position as architects of New York’s contemporary scene. On the strength of these accomplishments, Taimur has devoted himself full-time to his DJ & production career and currently resides in Miami. Willy Soul is a Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, MC, and music curator known for his signature blend of funk-driven energy, global underground knowledge, and dancefloor storytelling. A central figure in both NYC nightlife and the global roller-skating scene, he has held residencies at Good Room and Public Records, alongside his long-running warehouse series Funky Seshwa. He also serves as Music Director, curator, and resident DJ for Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace at Rockefeller Center, Xanadu Roller Arts in Bushwick, and Europe’s flagship skate festival, Skate Love Barcelona—shaping the sound and spirit of every space he touches. In 2025, he joined Louie Vega’s Funki Cadets producer collective on Vega Records, debuting with their collaboration “Feelin’ Good Tonight.” His next project, NY/CDMX, with Mexican electronic artist Pahua, is set for release on TheJazzDiaries in Summer 2026.
