Angel Sanz, also known as Rogers.ec, embarked on his musical journey at a young age in Ecuador, immersing himself in the vibrant punk rock scene. Throughout his early years, he passionately participated in various musical projects, honing his skills and nurturing his love for music. In 2012, Angel made a pivotal move to Brooklyn, NY, where he found himself captivated by the pulsating world of techno music. This newfound passion drove him to start performing in small gigs and underground clubs, igniting a spark that would shape his future. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of genres such as punk, hardcore, acid, melodic, groovy and deep electronic sounds, Angel's artistic persona, Rogers.ec, began to take shape. This amalgamation of influences contributed to a distinctive and innovative style that sets him apart in the electronic music landscape. Intrigued by the boundless possibilities of a solo career, Angel delved into the world of DJing and producing. In 2019, he embarked on his professional journey, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the dynamic NYC Techno scene being resident of collectives such as Taken NYC, Shift and Solace. Rogers.ec has been playing techno for numerous podcasts and showcases from around the world. Some notable mentions include "Corrupt Systems" and "Techno Files" from the UK, "3pTechno" from Slovenia, "Eagle Sessions," "Kontrollverlust," and "Konflikt" from Germany, "Sound XXperiment" from Italy, and "Vector Radio" from Brazil.
