A native of Brooklyn and current resident of Queens (New York), Jovonn has been active in the music scene since the age of 10. Supported by his mother, a keyboard player; and father, a guitar/bass player, who were aspiring R&B singers; he was nurtured with a solid musical foundation. Jovonn began his career as a Hip-Hop DJ at the age of 14 and started spinning records at those infamous New York block parties of the 80s where he was introduced to the growing New York House music scene, hanging out in seminal Brooklyn clubs such as Sapphires, Club Saturn and Club Serene. Years later clubs such as The Loft, The Choice, Snobbusters and Zanzibar, solidified his full commitment to House music. Exploding onto the house scene in 1991 with his second release, “Turn and Runaway” on Warner Bros. Records, (which reached number 10 on the Billboard chart and catapulted Jovonn on to the global scene) He then went on to set up his first record label, Goldtone Records, in the early 1990’s via Emotive Records (label compilation dropped on clone last year) and since then has produced more than 500 records in the House, R&B, Hip-Hop and Neo Soul genres, not to mention film scores and soundtracks although his true love has always been House music. A pioneer of the NYC, New Jersey, 90’s house sound, he’s produced many classics with releases such as as “Back In the Dark”, “Garage Shelter”, “I Can’t Make Up My Mind”, “I Wanna Go To A Club” that all contain Jovonn’s distinctive vocal delivery and trade mark production, as the man says himself ‘gritty sounds, hard kicks, jazzy chords and a phat bassline’. Other releases in Jovonn’s impressive discography include ‘Something About this Love’ (on WestEnd Records), “The Spirit” album (on Track Mode), and the “Blaque House” album on Code Red not to mention releases on labels such as Dogmatik, Objektivity, Deeply Rooted House and Apollonia showcasing his talents to a new audience of house music lovers. Jovonn launched his new label venture Body N’Deep in 2017 via clone distribution, dedicated to releasing the hottest deep and raw underground house tracks from Jovonn and his crew of producers and vocalists including tracks from legendary artists such as Karizma, Delano Smith and Louie Vega. His album ‘Timeless’ was released on the label receiving great reviews from DJ’s and Press, showcasing Jovonn’s trademark new jersey sound. In-between running the label and DJing worldwide Jovonn has still found time to release on prestigious labels such as Nu Groove/Defected with ‘Random/Get Over It’, ‘The Blaque Katt EP’ and more recent ‘The Fun Houze EP’. All welcomed by a new generation of DJs and producers, demonstrating Jovonn’s ability to keep relevant with his classic NYC house sound and just updating it a little for today. The Body N’Deep label goes from strength to strength releasing productions from established artists and rising talents, with releases and A&R from the man himself, ensuring everything has that timeless Body N’Deep sound. DONIS is a Dominican American DJ/Producer from Brooklyn, NY. His style embodies both tradition and innovation. Firmly rooted in NYC’s Dance Music history while tastefully pushing the envelope, he masterfully explores the intersections between Soulful House, Afro House, Techno and Disco. In the DJ booth, he combines excellent mixing skills with an innate ability to read the crowd, both responding to their desires while setting his sonic agenda. He’s become well known in the New York underground scene for playing parties and clubs such as Soul In The Horn, Papi Juice, Dweller Festival, Lebain, Basement among many others. Straight out of Brooklyn, New York, Simon Heyliger is walking in the footsteps of some of the most recognized DJ's out today; who have all had an impact on his style. He was partying at Club Exit, a New York City Super Club in the late 90's, watching 3,000 people dancing and having the time of their lives when Simon realized his dream of touring the world and becoming an internationally known Disc Jockey. He wanted to be the one to provide this therapeutic enjoyment to the masses through dance music. And with that in mind, DJ Simon Heyliger was born. His unique style of spinning consists of electronic music genres such as House, Tech House and Techno. He is constantly inspired by legendary New York City disc jockey, Danny Tenaglia. Simon has spun at Pacha NYC, Cielo, District 36, Webster Hall, and Sullivan Room just to name a few. He has been hand selected to DJ at the Winter Music Conference in Miami & has been asked to play at Sunday School presented by Made Event for the 2nd year in row. Some world renowned DJ's/Producers he’s played along with are Adam Beyer, Gary Beck, Hermanez, Nick Curly, Sharam, The Martinez Brothers, Victor Calderone and many more.
