Akua has cemented herself as one of the most distinctive techno DJs coming out of the U.S. in recent years, shining brightly at the forefront of a new generation of techno artists who are reviving the innovative and rebellious spirit of techno’s enduring velocity through their work. Her practice is a passionate dedication to archiving & activating timeless strains of raw and mechanized expression - leading the new school of North American machine funk, while harkening back to the revolutionary sonics of Detroit, Chicago, & New York City DJs throughout history. A recent move to Berlin, a city that has held a crucial role in the evolution of techno, has provided her with the opportunity to further develop her craft by embracing the transcontinental connection that originally ignited the inspiration for the techno movement worldwide. Her one-of-kind, no-nonsense style brings a necessary & poignant intensity to today’s dancefloors, eschewing trends of the moment and channeling the essence of techno into an authentic wavelength that’s completely intuitive to her being. This unique display of influences plays out in Akua's unrivaled sets heard around the world - from exerting her celebrated prowess behind the decks at renowned New York clubs like Basement and Nowadays, to unleashing landmark sets at Movement Detroit, Berghain FUSE Brussels, Dekmantel, Draaimolen, & FOLD London. Already seasoned on the European tour circuit, 2024 sees her career encompassing new trajectories & widening her global reach into tours through Asia & Australia. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, she effortlessly embodies an enthralling old-school sound while keeping her finger on the pulse of contemporary producers that also embody the authentic energy of techno’s turn-of-the-century peak. As her boundless legacy steadily expands, she continues to cultivate respect and adoration from the most discerning of DJs & dancers alike through her incredible mixing finesse and constantly expanding repertoire of futureproof classics.Recently at H0L0, Paragon · often with ROBUS, Yazzus, SUMME, none of them here that night

“Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Clarisa Kimskii has cemented her musical footprint on the borough since moving back in 2022.”

the whole biography
Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Clarisa Kimskii has cemented her musical footprint on the borough since moving back in 2022. Through a palpable blend of psychedelic and driving techno, Clarisa’s approach to the genre is deeply idiosyncratic - an assemblage of both timeless and modern grooves. As a producer, Clarisa has contributed to a handful of respected labels (Monday Off, Dusk & Haze, Mysteries of the Deep, etc.) within her sonic niche, but it’s through her own label L.A.G where the ethos of her sound truly takes form - a detailed variation of propulsive and atmospheric soundscapes. Clarisa is deeply rooted in the techno subculture’s underground, and in early 2022 - the 20+ year veteran was named resident DJ of the Brooklyn-based, queer party Merge. Through her former residency at Merge and regular appearances at the city’s premiere institutions in BASEMENT Nowadays and Bossa Nova Civic Club Clarisa’s prestige is undeniably felt. Her pure, yet passionate approach to DJing has graced the decks of memorable nights at international institutions in Berlin's Berghain, Tbilisi's Khidi, and at notably iconic parties in Wrecked, Club Toilet, and The Bunker NY. Recent festival appearances at Taiwan’s Organik Festival and North America’s Honcho Campout, Sustain-Release, Whole Festival , Draaimolen and The Great Beyond have only elevated her reputation as a force within those respective communities. The saga continues with juicy bits on the horizon.Industrial on 1, Techno on 1, Acid on 1 and Minimal Techno on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesTheir RA profile lists L.A.G., Monday Off, On Board Music, Gradient and 3 more.Recently at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Market Hotel, Nowadays · often with Berghain, Juana, Kangding Ray, none of them here that night

Spanish DJ and producer, Ne/Re/A, a fixture of Brooklyn's teeming techno ecosystem for more than 10 years, has a distinctly energetic approach to the genre - relentless groove and unapologetically timeless. In 2021, Ne/Re/A was named resident DJ of the Brooklyn-based queer party, MERGE, which has served as a musical home and has allowed her to explore the depths of her sonic palette alongside a sophisticated rolodex of the genre's legends. She has played alongside DVS1, Boris, Phase Fatale, Wata Igarashi, Takaaki Itoh and Ancient Methods (to name a few). She cut her teeth as the founder and resident DJ of Distrikt1, the monthly weeknight party at Brooklyn's historic Bossa Nova Civic Club. She's played reputable parties in New York - Unter, Wrecked, Bound and many nights at the city's premiere institutions in BASEMENT, Nowadays, and Paragon. She's played at Berlin's Tresor, Pornceptual, Gegen and at the iconic queer pilgrimage, Whole Festival, BULTO and Video Club in Colombia and Brutal in Mexico City. Her collaborative project, Name Names, with DC-based DJ and producer Juana explores the darker shades of her repertoire, where driving propulsive techno are at the forefront. In 2025, her prowess grows, Ne/Re/A makes her debut in Asia at Taiwan's highly-regarded Organik Festival and Seoul's Volnost, plays notable parties in New York like Wire Festival, Berlin and South America, and continues her residency with MERGE. As a producer Ne/Re/A sharply blends industrial and EBM with melodic techno into her own concoction - a heady assemblage of punch and drive. In 2025 she just released a collaborative track with Clarisa Kimskii in Phase Fatale's BITE record label. In 2024 she released two new tracks for Maison Fauna “In the Dark” and Infra “Piercing the veil”. In 2020, she released her first EP "Your World Took Your Future" on the Industrial Techno United imprint. She's remixed tracks for Alpha Sect, Rennst and throughout the years has contributed tracks to Soil, NOTT, Pildoras Tapes, Sinister Desires and Eclectic Reactions record labels.Techno on 9, Electro on 6, EBM on 5 and Experimental on 5. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Bite (1), Eclectic Reactions Records (1) and InterplanetaryLtd (1); their RA profile also lists Pildoras Tapes, Sinister Desires, Lemos and Faceless. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Paragon, BASEMENT, Bossa Nova Civic Club · often with Juana, Auspex, Phase Fatale, none of them here that night
