Hailing from Boston and emerging from NYC's underground, Fruitbat haunts foggy dancefloors with sounds of flamboyant synth, EBM and hard hitting industrial. He is the organizer of the monthly goth and dark dance night Sissies of Mercy. With his monthly party, his goal is to create a haven for queers, freaks and anyone else who dares to lurk in the shadows. Being an enjoyer of all things campy and 80's, you can expect Fruitbat's sets to be just as silly as they are serious. He is no stranger to having fun. and will absolutely let everyone else in the crowd know that they can too. Fruitbat's sets takes dancers on a trip through eccentric synthpop to the darkest of wave, industrial and dark dungeon sounds. Through this trip, one can find themself going from singing along to goth classics, sandwiched between moshing and thrashing to hard, dark dance delicacies. Fruitbat hopes to continue making spaces where trans people can be their true authentic selves on the dancefloor. Especially since the world is limiting trans people's rights more and more every day.Recently at Trans-Pecos, SILO, Market Hotel · often with Alison Wonderland, Alex Unger, Biggly, none of them here that night
“Electric is the only way to describe Andi’s sets.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Electric is the only way to describe Andi’s sets. The NYC-based DJ, producer, and SYNTHICIDE label/party boss constructs a dynamic and intoxicating flow that’s always palpable between the walls of the foggy, neon-lit dancefloor. Parts sleaze and sultry, Andi’s aesthetic is body music based, thriving on the delivery of the groove and the bombastic highs of a track’s apex. As a devotee of distinct sounds such as EBM, new beat, Italo, freestyle and housey 90s elements, her sets reflect her deep vinyl collection: diverse, yet focused, and completely one-of-a-kind. Her own productions aim to challenge the expectations within the confines of traditionally masculine dance genres. With bassline-heavy grooves and a conceptual emphasis on storytelling with samples taken from long-forgotten erotic thrillers and seedy sci-fi films, Andi adds a wry yet delicate touch to machine music. As the boss of SYNTHICIDE—the internationally known party, label and event series—Andi has cultivated the dark underground scene for over a decade in Brooklyn. SYNTHICIDE started at the notorious club in Bushwick, Bossa Nova Civic Club, where the party still holds a monthly residency. Additionally, Andi is a resident at The Lot Radio and NYC’s Gabriela.EBM on 13, Techno on 9, Industrial on 7 and New Beat on 5. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Eskimo Recordings (2), Dischi Autunno (1) and Surface Reality Records (1); their RA profile also lists Mannequin, aufnahme + wiedergabe, Mecanica, Synthicide and 1 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Mezcaleria Milagrosa, Gabriela, Bossa Nova Civic Club · often with Eli Escobar, Arvin T, Facets, none of them here that night
“Sissies of Mercy is the back-to-back collaboration between longtime best-friends sam & austen.”

Sissies of Mercy is the back-to-back collaboration between longtime best-friends sam & austen. Born out of their love for dancing together, their sound as a duo balances playful nostalgia and raunchy darkness to command a sweaty dancefloor. Weaving together diva-fueled house, sparkly 80's pop, nasty acid, and cheeky electro, Sissies' sets create shared moments of freedom and transcendent joy fueled by love and light.Recently at House of Yes, Paragon, Market Hotel · often with Eli Escobar, Volvox, G I N A, none of them here that night
