Sterling Juan Diaz has an instinctive feel for groove. Born in New York City & raised between there & the Dominican Republic, he was captivated by the percussive rhythms of hip-hop & latin music from a young age, fostering a diverse musical passion. Once he taught himself to DJ, his eclectic taste & skill quickly gained attention in New York City's queer nightlife, becoming a staple at parties like Nowadays Nonstop, Papi Juice, & BASEMENT’s resident party FIST. Diaz's insatiable appetite for music, discerning taste, & impressive mixing skills have solidified his reputation for delivering electrifying, sets consistently. His innovative, captivating style has earned him spots at festivals such as Honcho Campout, DWELLER, & Wire Festival, & has taken him to parties across the nation, including Atlanta’s Back Room & Washington D.C.’s Flower Factory. Internationally, Diaz has performed at The MECA Art Fair in the Dominican Republic, as well as at Buttons & Sysiphos in Berlin, Germany. In July 2023, Diaz was chosen as an opening DJ for Beyoncé’s New York City show during her record-breaking Renaissance World Tour, joining a distinguished roster of DJs celebrating the album’s tribute to Black queer & trans history. From his curatorial work as a resident DJ of Playground Radio & their annual Block Party to his recurring club night SIMPULSO at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Diaz has established himself as an unmissable voice in Brooklyn's new generation of young selectors. His sets range from chest-rumbling bass wubs to euphoric house keys, showcasing the rich heritage of the underground while exploring the depths of sound through the rhythmic threads of his Dominican roots. Sterling Juan Diaz has not only crafted a unique musical identity but also stands as a beacon of collaboration & community building.Recently at public records, Artsdistrict Brooklyn, Paragon · often with Makadsi, ALEXIS DE LA ROSA, Sekucci, none of them here that night

“Brian Wenner is a Brooklyn-based experimental electronic musician and sound artist.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Brian Wenner is a Brooklyn-based experimental electronic musician and sound artist. His artistic practice involves sound collage and improvisation to create dense works that feel frenetic yet structured. Bandcamp has described his sound as “sizzling experimental electronic music, alternatively dissonant and tuneful.” Working primarily with sampled audio content, Wenner’s creative process is heavily inspired by Musique Concrète combined with modern digital processes. He often gathers sound material from a variety of sources including Internet and phone-ripped audio, natural field recordings, and his own personal sample library. Sounds are then manipulated and layered via hardware samplers and further edited and re-imagined in software. The inspiration for such a process comes from his fascination in recontextualizing found audio to create something meaningful and coherent. Wenner has composed for dance, theater, multichannel installation, and digital album release. He most recently released an album entitled QUADRANT in March of 2025 which documents a quadraphonic sound performance recorded live in Austin, TX. The album came out on the London-based experimental record label Old Technology. Wenner also co-curates and organizes the monthly experimental music series Artifact. He has performed across North America and has presented work with institutions such as Art Basel Miami, CURRENTS Art & Technology Festival, Satellite Art Fair, and dadaLab. His work has been reviewed and featured by outlets including The New York Times, Time Out New York, The Creators Project, The FADER, VICE, FACT and Self-titled Magazine. “a glitchy musique électrique that feels like walking through numerous corridors, command centres and cockpits of a lost-in-space galaxy explorer.” - Mutant Zones “ [Musical] Layers are added, taken away, elongated, and repeated, to create aspects of unpredictability, of suspense, though it’s all texturally pleasing as all hell.” - Ears to Feed “When it comes to experimentation, the Brooklyn-based producer knows no limitations” - DMYoften with Rose Kourts, Dreams, Julia Govor, none of them here that night
