After a few years taking notes in Philly's underground scene, he linked with Adam Braiman and Mike Berardi and became a resident at their bi-weekly Gusto Invites series at TBA Brooklyn. From there he joined Channing and Nathan James's Federal Dance Union series in DC, where he helped bring artists like Sweater, Huey Mnemonic, and Luuk van Dijk to the district, and played often with notable sets at Eaton Hotel, 600T, Flash, and more. With his studies wrapping up back home, he’s since turned his focus to the studio, stepping out only for a few select appearances at neighborhood spots like the legendary third floor at Say No More and at Warehouse on Watts with Rock the House. His eclectic style of groovy underground minimal & house records creates a captivating and hypnotic vibe. Taking inspiration from the likes of the Romanian,UK, and NYC underground scenes, he has cultivated his own sound of underground house music. Spaced out, jazzy, minimal grooves is his style of choice, and he’s invested in expanding his knowledge base by continually creating and collecting music. A computer nerd at heart, Rupert's love for synthesizers and especially eurorack have helped shape the sound he pushes today. In November of 2022 Rupert launched his own record label, Selekt Sounds, which focuses on the hypnotic, psychedelic, and jazzy sides of minimal. The label has featured artists such as Hendriks Toth, Ali Demir, Modebaku, Dragomir, Herck, Chuwee, TIJN, Nektar Agu and many more.Minimal on 2, Breakbeat on 1, House on 1 and Microhouse on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Artist Intelligence Agency (1), InTheBagg (1) and Kiku Records (1); their RA profile also lists Andhera Records, DISTRAKT AUDIO, RVDIOVCTIVE and selekt sounds. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileoften with Chris Sanabria, Jeny Michelle, Zao, none of them here that night
