Pauli Cakes is a New York born and based sound curator known for bringing people together and getting them moving. The DJ, community organizer, spirit raiser, performer, multi-faceted artist and founder of collectives DiSCAKES and xCAKES is an unmistakable figure in New York's underground queer rave scene. They've made a heartfelt impact on the nightlife circuit with their iconic raves, musical influence, organizing work, contributions to harm reduction and efforts to raise thousands of dollars for bail out organizations such as F2L, Black and Pink and The Friendly Commisary Fund and independent initiatives such as the COVID19 RELEIF FUND and various fundraisers for Queer New Yorkers in need. Pauli believes that limitations and binaries can be transcended through music, communion and creative expression. Pauli’s sets have been described as a “break neck wonderland” and a "Spirit Raising Journey Through Sound". LISAS is a DJ emerging from the New York techno scene whose expertise spans a multitude of roles. From working behind the scenes as a sound engineer in recording studios on critically acclaimed albums, performing in the band The Rapture, to producing music for fashion shows; all while repairing vintage analog synthesizers and outboard gear- her journey is diverse and captivating. Her transition to DJing was an evolution grounded in her extensive knowledge of sound, which illuminates her live sets and mixes with sharp selections that provide a driving and genre-defying ride always innately tailored to the energy of the audience. Her unique style she refers to as “post-apocalyptic arpeggiators meet mermaid synthesis” has earned her a coveted spot as resident of Le Bain in New York City.
