Khalil is an international DJ, Event Curator, Music Supervisor and Creative. He is a founding member of London’s seminal Hip Hop party Livin’ Proof that ran from 2007 to 2023, and New York’s prestigious BackToLife and Shapes parties, where his musical palette, creative direction and DJ style have proved pivotal in their success. A musically diverse and exciting DJ, his approach has been heavily influenced by the multicultural fabric of London’s nightlife and creative industries. His sets weave through genres from Hip Hop to RnB and Soul, Dancehall to Afrobeats, and through variations of House and Dance music from the UK and around the world, playing between the lines of the expected and unexpected, new and old to create a distinct style and sound of his own. Khalil recently worked as Music Supervisor on Daniel Kaluuya & Kibwe Tavares Netflix feature film The Kitchen (2024). Selecting tracks for scenes, adding insight from a nightlife perspective and creating concepts and ideas as part of the creative process to give the film it’s musical identity. He has been the DJ of choice for brands & corporate events, including Colors Studios, Nike, A24, The Guggenheim, GQ, SNL, Soundcloud, Nike and Adidas. He’s been booked alongside a long list of global acts including Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, A$AP Rocky, David Rodigan, Questlove and Sampha, as well as celebrity events for Marc Jacobs, Adwoa Aboah, Daniel Kaluuya, FKA Twigs, David Beckham, Giveon, Taraji P Henson, Martha Hunt, and Stormzy. Based in Brooklyn, where he relocated from London, Khalil has remained a highly active and in demand DJ in both cities and internationally. He’s toured across Asia, Europe, the United States and the UK. Played some of the worlds most renowned events, clubs and concert venues, festival bookings in Europe, Dubai, India and the UK, as well as cultural events including Miami Art Basel, NYFW and Paris Fashion Week. He has also played on BBC Radio, multiple Boiler Room shows, NTS Radio, Sway in the morning, Ebro on Beats 1 and Rinse FM amongst others, and playlist curation for Colors Studio, MILK Studios. MATTHEW LAW is a Philadelphia-bred DJ, producer and torchbearer for the city’s rich, party rocking legacy. When he moved to Brooklyn NY, he joined The Fool’s Gold Records team as a DJ, remixer and producer alongside the legendary A-Trak. Now, alongside DJing and music production, he’s added NYC operations manager for Wax Poetics magazine to the list. Law draws upon this vast musical knowledge during DJ sets, entertaining audiences in cities across the globe. He’s rocked crowds alongside such DJs as Benji B, Waajeed, SG Lewis, Jazzy Jeff, Questlove and more. Law has also spent time as the official tour DJ for Grammy Award-winning singer Jazmine Sullivan. As a producer, he returns to his impetus for becoming a DJ in the first place; Club, Broken Beat and House ––the rhythms that are closest to his own heartbeat. His debut EP entitled Rumble has already received critical acclaim and has been featured on 2 episodes of HBO’s breakout comedy series Southside. His most recent EP, MATT!, has been playlisted on Tidal’s “Future Proof.” Law has also released remixes and original music on Fool’s Gold, Sony and K7!/Planet E. In 2018, he released his 1st single featuring iconic underground singer/producer Seven Davis Jr. entitled “I Call Her.” In 2024, he expanded into the realm of live electronic production with a piece entitled “Sustainable Dystopia” at King Britt’s Blacktronika Festival. Matthew Law has toured extensively in the U.S., Europe and Asia since 2011. Snips is the founder of Barbershop Records and co founder of Livin' Proof, a veteran of the UK Hip Hop scene with over 15 years experience as one of Londons most prolific club DJs. Now residing permanently in NYC, Snips is equally comfortable playing alongside Stretch Armstrong, DJ Spinna and Moma as he was UK staples Tim Westwood, Benji B and Shortee Blitz. With 10 years worth of transatlantic production credits across Hip Hop's underground, 2018 saw Snips emerge as a budding solo artist,Releasing a slew of projects on his own label “Barbershop Records” fusing the production styles of Hip Hop, House, Soul, Jazz and Funk in the same fashion he's known for as a DJ. Snips' current production and remix credits range from Nu Jazz artist Kamaal Williams to UK rapper Giggs, showcasinghis ability to comfortably move between such varying sounds. On relocation to NYC Snips left a 5 year residency on Londons Kiss FM and can now be heard presenting his “Barbershop Radio” show on the 2nd Thursday of the month on NYC's Balami Radio.
