PlayPlay combines their penchant for percussion and bass with nostalgic samples & dreamy synths in both their DJ sets & music production. Their sound is inspired by over two decades of raving, crate digging and the sounds they grew up dancing to - 90s club anthems, jungle and DnB, minimal wave, classic house, techno and old school hip-hop. They have played at venues such as Good Room, Elsewhere, Jupiter Disco, MOMA PS1, and Bossa Nova Civic Club and at festivals such as Brooklyn Mag Festival. Over the past decade, they've had the privilege of playing alongside artists such as Big Freedia, TT the Artist, Le1f, Quest?onmarc, MikeQ, GRRL, UNIIQU3, Jubilee and Bored Lord, releasing guest mixes on The Lot Radio, Rinse FM, WIDE Radio, JEROME Worldwide and more. With releases out on labels such as Clasico Records, Sorry Records, Worst Behavior and Delusional Records, as well as a slew of self-releases and collaborations, PlayPlay has been slowly and steadily amassing a thumping discography over the years. Their music has been featured on radio programs such as BBC Radio 1, NTS Radio, Rinse FM and the Lot Radio and can be heard in underground clubs around the world (some of which they're probably dancing in). PlayPlay also loves to collaborate, remixing music from artists such as Bored Lord and Big Dipper and and has had their music remixed by Suzi Analogue, Jasmine Infiniti, Bored Lord, James Bangura, Scottie B, Escaflowne and more.
