quest?onmarq has built a reputation as one of the undergrounds most fearless and wide-ranging selectors, with her keen, connective ear and sharp turntabilism based technical abilities she connects various eras, lineages as a purist or even genres - pairing seemingly disparate ideas with flair. In production, she keeps the target moving, always seeking expansion over stagnancy. quest?onmarq’s cornerstone experience is in New York’s ballroom scene, tracing her roots to the direct observed connection between dancers and the DJ, which would later prove a formative advantage in connecting with crowds – her selections and tastes even then, always sought to educate and expand – through open format association. LISAS is a DJ emerging from the New York techno scene whose expertise spans a multitude of roles. From working behind the scenes as a sound engineer in recording studios on critically acclaimed albums, performing in the band The Rapture, to producing music for fashion shows; all while repairing vintage analog synthesizers and outboard gear- her journey is diverse and captivating. Her transition to DJing was an evolution grounded in her extensive knowledge of sound, which illuminates her live sets and mixes with sharp selections that provide a driving and genre-defying ride always innately tailored to the energy of the audience. Her unique style she refers to as “post-apocalyptic arpeggiators meet mermaid synthesis” has earned her a coveted spot as resident of Le Bain in New York City.
