  Firungi (“foreigner” in Hindi) is a Brooklyn-based artist, producer and creative director exploring modern identity through rhythm. Rooted in global percussion and long-form club music, his sets are built as journeys — shaped by instinct, contrast and an ability to read the room rather than follow a fixed formula. His sound treats the dancefloor as cultural ritual rather than genre, drawing from a broad percussive language that has earned support from Keinemusik, Damian Lazarus, Bedouin, Dennis Cruz, Jyoty, and more alongside releases including MoBlack and Black Book Records. Beyond music, Firungi operates as a broader cultural project through Fly Foreign Records and limited-run clothing capsules — extensions of the same idea: movement as identity, rhythm as common ground. Everyone is foreign somewhere. Everyone is Firungi.

  Over the past decade, the New York-based artist has quietly amassed a loyal following through expansive DJ sets that defy genre & style - a testament to his deep crates and skilled mixing. Originally from Singapore, Marco co-runs the Darker Than Wax record label & is a weekly resident on The Lot Radio in Brooklyn. Coming out of a busy 2024, with mixes / features on Resident Advisor (“a true digger’s delight”), DJ Mag and XLR8R (“a mix that’ll suck you in wherever you are”), he’s hit a stride with appearances across the US / Europe and Asia at clubs and parties like Nowadays (NYC), Public Records (NYC), Wonderfruit Festival (Thailand), Dimensions Festival (Croatia), Rhythm Section (London), Potato Head (Bali). Marco explores old and new underground styles in the spirit of educating and entertaining dancers, unafraid to jump between Obscure Disco to 90s House, Detroit Techno to Jungle, you’ll have to come along for the ride to hear what’s next.
