Lindsey Herbert is a prominent figure in today's techno scene, particularly renowned across the US’ Southwest for her unwavering dedication to techno's more underground sounds and sound design, and her ability to command crowds no matter the circumstances. Beginning as a young raver with an intense passion for dance music and its community, Lindsey began her own musical journey at the age of 15 and has been at it for nearly half of her life. Since her first gig in 2014, she has been a fixture alongside top-tier artists in the bustling scenes of Los Angeles and San Francisco, leaving an indelible mark on both cities. Originally a resident and booker of Robot Ears and now a resident of Direct to Earth, Lindsey has been an integral part of San Francisco's techno landscape, while also gracing the stages of prominent LA promoters such as OBSERVE, Synthetik Minds, 6AM, Dirty Epic, RE/FORM, and more. Her influence extends beyond borders with steady headlining gigs both domestically and internationally, also holding a residency for Techno Snobs in Phoenix for 3 years and most recently becoming the first international resident for Geheimclub in Magdeburg in 2025. In 2019, Lindsey made her solo production debut on LA's Ascetic Limited, marking the beginning of a prolific journey in the studio. Her discography has grown exponentially, with recent drops on esteemed U.S. underground labels like Truncate, 4-Trk, Blank Code, Northern Parallels, and Crisis of Man, as well as notable European and South American imprints such as Noise Manifesto, Planet X, NECHTO, Suara and many others. The future holds even more promise with countless forthcoming releases on the horizon. However, Lindsey's trajectory extends far beyond her production career. Notably, she graced the stages of Movement Festival in Detroit in 2023 and made several appearances at the iconic Tresor in Berlin in, further solidifying her presence on the global stage. Additionally, she was personally invited by techno luminary Richie Hawtin to tour throughout North America as part of his From Our Minds concept, further cementing her status in the industry. Lindsey's personal sound is dancefloor-oriented and ever-evolving. Her sets, ranging from ambient to deep and dark, to peak-time and high-energy, are meticulously crafted to suit the atmosphere, aiming to immerse listeners in a captivating journey and lock them into a relentless groove. Beyond her performances and productions, Lindsey is also a co-founder of EvilGroove, a burgeoning label that continues to expand its roster of talented emerging artists. The label has been actively hosting showcases, providing a platform for the next generation of techno talent to shine. With her dynamic sound, magnetic stage presence, and relentless dedication to pushing boundaries, Lindsey Herbert stands as a formidable force in the technosphere, leaving an indelible mark wherever she goes.

“Justin's coming-of-age as a fan and creator of dance music took place amidst the wide expanses of central Illinois.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Justin's coming-of-age as a fan and creator of dance music took place amidst the wide expanses of central Illinois. As a kid growing up in the state’s tucked-away capital of Springfield, he played drums as a jazz percussionist in school. While most of his peers were tuned into pop music, Justin was wearing out self-made mixes and classic disco compilations, workshopping new-wave influenced beats in bands and DJing college parties. A post-graduation move to Chicago led him to work for the influential dance music blog Little White Earbuds, opening him up to fully experience the city’s thriving underground house and techno scene. A Midwest-born and raised DJ, Justin has played at queer parties such as Wrecked, The Carry Nation, Horse Meat Disco, Honcho, and Club Toilet, and has gained a following all over the world with appearances at clubs like Smartbar Chicago, Panorama Bar, Is Burning Amsterdam, Razzmatazz Barcelona, DC10 and Lux Fragil. His bold, acid-flecked distillation of house and techno has found a home on the labels that are helping to shape the current landscape of transgressive body music, including The Bunker New York, Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions, and Honey Soundsystem Records. Justin's sound is defined by snaking acid lines, whip smart drums and offbeat rave melodies that have resonated with DJs and dancers from Detroit to Berlin. He has been featured in mixes for series such as Beats In Space, Truants, MixMag, Phantasy and The Bunker New York’s long-running podcast.

“Nita is a noted member of the legendary House of Aviance.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Nita is a noted member of the legendary House of Aviance. She started DJing around the turn of the millennium and was a resident at the infamous Mr. Black and Westgay, both touchstones for queer artistry and culture in downtown nightlife of the early 2000's. Will has deep roots in NYC club culture, having worked at The Loft and collaborated closely with David Mancuso, holding residencies at many of the downtown New York clubs over the years including The Limelight, Life and Vandam. After dividing his time between NYC and Paris, working on music with fashion houses such as Issey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood and Yves Saint Laurent, Will returned to DJing dance floors when he co-created SPANK with partners Sean B & Jason Roe. What started as a basement dance party evolved into a roving art-based warehouse party along with a namesake zine. SPANK began to work closely with Horse Meat Disco and the close relationship with that crew has extended in various forms through the years into the present. Currently, Nita and Will perform globally as both individual DJs and, more often, as a duo --they are most recognized for epic extended B2B sets and their wildly successful monthly queer party (also known as The Carry Nation) at Brooklyn's Good Room. Their range is wide and exciting, and in the New York tradition they effortlessly flow through genres and time periods while keeping a modern edge. Since the inception of The Carry Nation, the duo has toured the world extensively including Glastonbury’s Block 9 and Berlin’s Berghain/Panorama Bar among many others. They also have a residency at Ladyfag's flagship monthly Battle Hymn. As producers, their credits include releases and remixes on Get Up Recordings, Classic Music Company, TRIBAL, Nervous, TRAX, Batty Bass, TWIRL, W&O Street Tracks and more. Their latest venture is Major Records, an imprint they co-founded with Justin Cudmore to showcase their Majorettes collaboration with releases that are setting dancefloors alight with a fresh but classic house vibe that stays rooted in the excitement of New York’s history and underground.

“Born in Ohio and raised by New York clubs, Cosmo is a shining modern representative of the city’s Golden Age of DJing, in skill, in spirit, and in sensibility.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Born in Ohio and raised by New York clubs, Cosmo is a shining modern representative of the city’s Golden Age of DJing, in skill, in spirit, and in sensibility. A forever student of 90s subcultures, Cosmo is now an authority in connecting those dots, decompartmentalizing genres during her sets and revitalizing the club as a much needed space for expression and joy. Cosmo may open a night with her early entry points to dance music, gospel and funk and vocal-heavy RnB, and proceed to blend break beats with new jack swing or old-school house with tribal—all delivered with remarkable clarity of voice and a sense of self that fueled her fated teenage move to New York to DJ over a decade ago. Being from the Midwest, her house music literacy circles its epicenters and favors groovy records, warm basslines, playful vocals, and elating instrumentals that stir the spirit. Her deep knowledge, cultural curiosity, and refreshing authenticity make Cosmo one of New York’s most in-demand DJs, a regular at the most iconic clubs and a Fashion Week party go-to. She is a resident at Public Records, where she can explore every inch of her collection and join forces with legends like Sandy Rivera as well as other torchbearing peers. She’s represented the city sharing the decks with her heroes like Honey Dijon and Mike Dunn, and on esteemed platforms such as Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show and Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company show. As a longtime resident at The Lot Radio, Cosmo gets the opportunity to share everything she cherishes and often includes parts of her CD and magazine archives. Music has soundtracked Cosmo’s every move. Her gratitude for her practice is apparent, and her effervescence behind the decks reaches the crowd no matter the size of the room—a musical hug that holds dancers through times good and bad.
