In search of the perfect dance floor to call home, she booked a one way ticket from Sydney to the City That Never Sleeps in 2014, and never looked back… One step into the world of her infamous party series Love Games and it’s clear that she’s made her dreams come true: It’s a love letter to disco made manifest, forged in part from her nine-year tenure as Production Manager at Good Room, and carefully honed through countless nights spent on Brooklyn dance floors and behind the decks. Championing beloved pioneers from the Golden Era of disco with reverence, the party equally sets the stage for the joyfully abundant expressions of the next gen. Lauren and fellow party resident Finn Jones host legendary DJs and devotees alike as they spin across the spectrum of timeless classics, leftfield treasures, mind-melters and guilty pleasures. DJ Kibachan (Hiromi Kiba) is a New York-based DJ, interdisciplinary artist, and dancer. Growing up in the small fishing town of Toba, Japan, constantly hitting gigs and spinning records from an early age while obsessed with fashion styling, that background shapes everything they do today. Sound is deeply rooted in decades of underground club culture and vinyl record collecting, bridging the tactile memory of Japanese folk traditions with the raw immediacy of New York's nightlife to craft genre-defying, borderless sound sets guided by care, wellness, and community. Holding monthly residencies at Nightmoves and The Last Call—alongside previous residencies at Tokyo Record Bar, Jupiter Disco, and Ace Hotel Brooklyn—they’re known for rare wave and thrilling sonic journeys. Steering clear of standard high-energy club tracks, these residencies lean into carefully curated listening sessions—shifting fluidly from avant-garde electronics to traditional rhythms depending on the room. As an active poet, rapper, and performance artist, Kibachan has brought work to spots like the Noguchi Museum, Loisaida Center, and The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts. Moving easily between sound, movement, and text, the work connects New York's art and nightlife scenes, always pushing the edges of art and music.
