Pauli Cakes is a New York born and based sound curator known for bringing people together and getting them moving. The DJ, community organizer, spirit raiser, performer, multi-faceted artist and founder of collectives DiSCAKES and xCAKES is an unmistakable figure in New York's underground queer rave scene. They've made a heartfelt impact on the nightlife circuit with their iconic raves, musical influence, organizing work, contributions to harm reduction and efforts to raise thousands of dollars for bail out organizations such as F2L, Black and Pink and The Friendly Commisary Fund and independent initiatives such as the COVID19 RELEIF FUND and various fundraisers for Queer New Yorkers in need. Pauli believes that limitations and binaries can be transcended through music, communion and creative expression. Pauli’s sets have been described as a “break neck wonderland” and a "Spirit Raising Journey Through Sound". Their sound is a high energy, genre bending experience filled with sonic eclecticism and colorful sound adopted from their stomping grounds of NYC.Recently at Trans-Pecos, Mood Ring, Market Hotel · often with Xana 101, SKIN CONTACT, Total XTC, none of them here that night

their own biography
the whole biography
Soo Intoit began DJ'ing in 2020, when booked for a Zoom party. Believing it was a drag booking, she was informed a week before that the party actually wanted her to play music for an hour. After spending lots of time going out and working as a host, and frequently mentioning the desire to be a DJ, she decided this was the time to commit. She had her beginnings (other than the aforementioned Zoom party) in intimate basement gatherings, and later on rooftops. With her job being closed at the time, she was at an advantage, and practiced very frequently. By late 2021, she was presented with her first opportunity to produce a party--which is now CRITICAL HIT. What started as a bi-weekly Wednesday party with humble attendance, evolved into an event that maintains a strong following and crowd, and now takes place once a month on the weekends. This party features a PS2 at almost every event, and sometimes operates games at other parties, showing her interests in building communities around mutual hobbies, as well as providing a unique experience in what she does. The gaming influence is reflected in her DJ sets, too. She produces Juicy Fruit, a recurring bar night with a focus on danceable music the crowd can sometimes sing along too, and Omega. Omega is her sci-fi themed dance party, which she co-produces.Recently at Trans-Pecos, Pianos, Our Wicked Lady · often with Xana 101, Spiral Sisters, L4RV4, none of them here that night
