    their own biography

    the whole biography
Pete Dougherty (aka Moon Boots) was born in Brooklyn and spent his adolescence in the suburbs. Early formative musical memories include hearing MFSB’s “Love Is The Message” at block parties. Cut to high school years jamming along to Daft Punk in the barn with a blacklight on. After studying classical and jazz composition in college, Pete moved to Chicago, the birthplace of house music. He spent years honing his skills as a remixer and DJ and in late 2011, Moon Boots was born. The alias began taking shape with a series of releases for French Express. The label provided Pete with a platform, and he quickly leveled up his craft while touring around the world and eventually moving back to Brooklyn. The first Moon Boots album, First Landing, arrived in 2017 on Anjunadeep, followed two years later by Bimini Road, and then in 2023 by Ride Away. As with his DJ sets, each album blends elements of house, disco, and R&B with a crate’s worth of musical influences. The three records were widely embraced, amassing over 100 million streams. Moon Boots has played everywhere from dimly lit clubs and warehouse parties to massive festivals. Regardless of the DJ booth's location, his objective remains the same: to keep people dancing, with a smile on their faces.
Their RA profile lists Cr2 Records, Anjunadeep, Fool's Gold, Nervous Records and 4 more.

As a frequent flier on editorial playlists including covers and billboards alike, his signature sound resonates with audiences and music critics - cementing his reputation with notable DJ support from the likes of A-Trak, Bonobo, Carl Cox, Diplo, The Blessed Madonna, and Blond:ish. In 2026 he dropped the UKG-leaning single 'WASTA' on legendary footwork imprint MOVELTRAXX , in addition to a brand new futuristic live project 'CŒUR ACIDE' which evokes memories of Empire of the Sun meets Hercules and Love Affair (EP forthcoming June on Toucan Sounds). In addition to his music, Pat Lok has solidified his status as an in-demand performer across the global touring circuit. He has shared the decks with Disclosure and A-Trak, held residencies in Chicago and Seoul, and toured with the likes of HONNE and Galantis whilst appearing at quintessential festivals like Splash House, Electric Forest, Electric Zoo, Hangout Fest, etc. PL’s music has garnered vast DJ and radio support from BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM, KCRW, Triple J, and more.
Their RA profile lists Kitsuné Musique, Club Sweat and KOOKOO RECORDS.

“In 2019, baby-g’s burning daydream of commanding her own dance floor left her no option but to take a chance.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
In 2019, baby-g’s burning daydream of commanding her own dance floor left her no option but to take a chance. Her story blends an obsession with eclectic sounds, a previous life as a trained dancer, and desire to connect. In her music, a story of determination and scratching away can be heard - it’s music that hits the spot. Today, she’s tucked into the depths of Brooklyn’s underground spaces, opening for the likes of Sammy Legs, Tony Romera, Crusy, and Daniel Neuland, co-created the enigmatic DJ collective Liminal, and delved into production, with a few demo tracks in the works. baby-g has not only carved her own niche in respected spots like the Onyx room, Elsewhere, and Silo, but her efforts also continue to strengthen the local scene through collaborations or mentoring aspiring DJs. While some DJs offer escapism, baby-g’s music is for the here and now. With her confident, smooth brushes of groove, throbbing patterns of rhythm mixed with sassy vocals, her music demands attention. baby-g sways between a mix of styles such as minimal, peak time/driving, indie dance, and ketapop, but she is consistent in holding mood. A mood that carries unmistakable coolness, yet an inviting social experience to connect, bounce, and jam together. It seems that as long as baby-g keeps dreaming, the rhythm of her journey is equally worth moving along to, just as much as her dance floors.
