“Veeps has always been obsessed with music.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Veeps has always been obsessed with music. This is one of the reasons he decided to move to Brooklyn from San Diego in the summer of 2010. He has been the DJ for multiple rappers/hip-hop groups and the drummer for various punk/indie bands on both coasts. He is now dedicating more time in the home studio focusing on recording and producing his own original music. Some of his many influences include modern funk, hip-hop, trip-hop, roots, dub, ambient/chill/synth, darkwave, boogie, disco, electro, italo, house and techno. In addition to his multiple DJ residencies in Manhattan and Brooklyn, he also currently curates Love Trunk NYC with DJ Hongo, a reoccurring event in New York City which highlights live modern funk acts, visual artists, creatives and vinyl DJs spinning funk, boogie, disco and house music from all across the globe! Ardio Zemog was born and raised in New Jersey. He started to DJ at the young age of 8 and later picked up Latin percussion and trombone. While playing for his high school Jazz band and local Latin bands, he started to produce electronic music. After college, he moved to New York, where he made a name for himself in the underground electronic music scene. In 2018, he officially started releasing music as himself and other aliases (DJ Mas Corazon, Calambre, Boogadisco). To date he has released music on Trax Records, Hatching Creatures, Kraak Records, Rebel Eye, Katakana, Casa Club Records, and Metronomic.
