Abby Echiverri is a young producer based in Brooklyn, NY, whose intense curiosity has led her to take on a variety of roles as a musician, sound engineer, DJ and VJ. Her releases include a track on the 15 Years of the Bunker compilation followed by her debut EP on The Bunker NY, entitled Ab Initio, which has garnered a number of positive reviews. As a live musician, Echiverri’s left-field musical influences, deft hardware manipulations, and experienced engineering meld into an inventive interpretation of techno. Echiverri’s current trajectory started early in childhood when she was classically trained in violin, flute, piano and vocals, cementing music as a part of her daily life. In high school she picked up turntables and began collecting records, eventually moving to NYC to study recording engineering and perform in post-punk bands, and became a regular at Wierd and The Bunker at a very young age. Since then, Echiverri has devoted her professional hours to engineering, maintaining, and manufacturing audio equipment for studios and clubs around the world. Such intimacy with technology comes through in her music, where she enjoys working with unfamiliar hardware and acoustic samples, using unconventional effects processing, and manipulating the stereo field in disorientating ways.Their RA profile lists The Bunker New York.Recently at House of Yes, Nowadays, Mansions · often with Eden Aurelius, Naone, DJ Sprinkles, none of them here that night

Not to mention being co- founder of the famed Robots parties and amusing us weekly as Robot Radio's alluring and witty host. Within the world of electronic music everyone has a tale about our friend Bill Patrick. Some funny, some sad, some tragic, most shady, but at the end of each story or any encounter with this demi god you're left wanting more. In 2008, this mythical creature, who by chance was reborn a man, relocated to Berlin. Why? Few know. Some say it was in search of gold, some suggest it was out of self-loathing, those in his inner circle say it was to be closer to them. He says it was to challenge the European state of mind and how sexually active they, as a people, can become. In any event all legend and lore were left behind. So where has that left this man, this nu-romantic? I'll tell you, striving to be more. It doesn't matter that the only places he now plays are festivals like Sunwaves in Romania, Outline Festival in Moscow or highly respected clubs like Closer Kiev, Robert Johnson and Concrete in Paris. After a much talked about 31 hour set at Sunwaves Festival in 2016, Bill and his partner in crime, tINI, have teamed up as Rolls “N” Do and now find themselves thrust into a whirlwind of high profile gigs. Currently touring the globe and vocally enlightening the Universe, Bill still finds time to keep his Instagram up to date and send out wildly entertaining content across all platforms. Not to mention, producing a monthly radio show, Chaotic Neutral, on OpenLab Radio and curating playlists for boutique hotels such as Hotels Costes in Paris, Baba Beach Club in Thailand and Guldsmeden Hotel in Berlin. But he wants to step out of his box and come to you, to educate the minds of the world with his deep, psychedelic take on contemporary dance music. - Words by Seth TroxlerRecently at H0L0, Avant Gardner, Circle Line Cruises · often with Greg Paulus, Kiyoshi, Gui Machado, none of them here that night

the whole biography
For the past 15 years, The Bunker New York has led the way for American techno by bringing together hundreds of artists from all over the world. More than a mere techno party, The Bunker unites diverse sounds from across the electronic music spectrum, connecting the dots between house, techno, experimental sounds, and much more. The Bunker New York began as a party, grew up into a record label, and has become a collaborative community, fostered by founder and curator Bryan Kasenic since its launch in 2003. Kasenic's roots in the world of music go deep. In 1993, at the age of 16, he began DJing on Carnegie Mellon’s WRCT in Pittsburgh. He went on to launch his own radio show on WNYU in 1997. The radio show, and his interest in the many weird corners of the NYC music scene, eventually morphed into the creation of a weekly email newsletter, which included noteworthy party and event listings at a time when nothing of the kind existed online. As Bryan became more established in New York City, he created Beyond Booking, the agency that would become a core part of The Bunker New York. During this time, Bryan was also a sought-after DJ, performing at parties and events on a weekly basis. Currently, Bryan also hosts a weekly show on Red Bull Music Academy Radio, featuring The Bunker's friends and family. Bryan is much more than a mainstay at The Bunker New York. He has also played in many of the finest clubs and venues around the world: Berghain, Panorama Bar, and Atonal Festival in Berlin; Concrete in Paris; Bassiani in Tbilisi; De School and Shelter in Amsterdam; Organik Festival in Taiwan; Output and MoMA PS1's Warm Up series in New York; Contact, Air Tokyo and Circus Osaka in Japan; Smart Bar in Chicago; the Communikey and Decibel festivals in Boulder and Seattle respectively; Public Works in San Francisco; and many more. Additionally, he has co-produced numerous events and festivals, including several years at Unsound Festival New York. Unsound is one of the leading electronic and experimental music festivals worldwide, and he subsequently brought The Bunker to Krakow, Poland, Unsound's native city. To understand Kasenic as a DJ one needs only look back at his decades of passion promoting electronic and experimental sounds in New York, and towards the sound of the artists that have become key members of The Bunker New York family: the psychedelic, cerebral bent of Atom™, Voices From The Lake, and Reagenz; the swirling, atmospheric soundscapes of Clay Wilson, Zemi17, and Marco Shuttle; and the industrial-strength hardware dynamics of Løt.te, Mark Verbos, and Romans. 15 years after its founding, The Bunker is stronger than it has ever been and continues to grow, thanks to Kasenic's vision and effort.Their RA profile lists The Bunker New York.Recently at House of Yes, Good Room, The Chocolate Factory · often with Mike Servito, Carlos Souffront, BMG, none of them here that night

Juan MacLean is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer who has been a mainstay and defining fixture of the New York cub scene, as well as maintaining a rigorous international touring schedule, since the release of his first records on his DFA record label in 2002. While maintaining residencies in various New York clubs over the years, Juan has graced the decks at legendary venues like Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Tokyo’s Womb, Lisbon’s Luxe, Fabric of London, and countless others in between. He quickly established a reputation as an eclectic and adaptive DJ, utilizing years of music making and performance experience to develop a finely tuned sensitivity to quality selection and reading a room. Never much of a genre purist, Juan’s sets can feature the gamut from Disco to House to Techno, with detours into Electro or proto-House along the way, often in the same night. He has also produced an extensive catalog of 12”s and LP’s, mostly for the record label established by his old friend James Murphy, DFA Records, including the seminal dance floor hit ‘Happy House,’ first released in 2009. In 2010 Juan was recruited to contribute a mix for the legendary DJ Kick’s series, helping to spread House music to a wider audience on the cusp of the resurgence of House as a world wide phenomenon. Juan has also released on Classic Music Company and New York City’s Let’s Play House, as well as Get Physical, Defected, and Razor N Tape, Cin Cin, Audiophile Deep, and MeMeMe. For 2020, Juan has already slotted in releases on Correspondant, Motordiscs, and Aus Records. Currently, Juan is finishing production on his 4th LP, slated for release on DFA Records.Their RA profile lists Classic, Get Physical Music, !K7, DFA Records and 6 more.Recently at public records, Good Room, Knockdown Center · often with Gee Dee, Infinity Machine, Kate Stein, none of them here that night

She kicked off her career in Portland, OR by establishing herself and her role in bringing esteemed artists through her monthly party Modern Ritual. Her talent has taken her across North America and Europe and has shared stages with acts such as Crazy P, Demi Riquisimo, DJ Boring, Soul Clap, Purple Disco Machine and many more. Living between Upstate NY and Brooklyn, she is focusing on contributing to a newly vibrant electronic music scene in the Hudson Valley where she founded Disco Chalet, a late night mid-winter party themed in vintage aprés ski disco. Her journey has recently evolved into music production by collaborating with long time friend Jesse Gay. The two have released two tracks with Soul Clap Records Exclusives breathing new life into some beloved 70's jams that you can find on Bandcamp. They are currently working on some original works to be released in 2026. Laura Lynn grew up in the small mountain town of Taos, New Mexico within a family of musicians. Her Dad, being Michael Martin Murphey and one of the founding artists of progressive country, music was in many parts of her life. At a young age she began collecting tapes and CDs and recorded mixtapes. She soon found a passion for rock, punk and metal and moved to Southern California in 2000. It was there she frequented clubs such as The Echo and Cinespace at the height of the indie dance and electroclash scene. These experiences peaked her interest in the crossover of rock and electronic music and eventually lead her to start DJing in 2009.Their RA profile lists Rebirth.Recently at Gaia Nomaya, Inness, House of Yes · often with Acid Alien, Mr. Handyman, Lord Fascinator, none of them here that night

After getting her start performing at underground poetry events in her hometown, she eventually moved on to playing live beat sets during open mic nights at one of KC's most pivotal queer nightlife institutions of the 21st century, the Uptown Arts Bar. Occasionally she'd wander upstairs to Niche, a 100-cap club with a legendary sound system known as the Meta HiFi. There she got her first taste of the sounds of the UK bass continuum and the LA beat scene, with its prominent figureheads like Flying Lotus, Ras G and Shlohmo. Ever the nomad, she would spend her mid-twenties traveling, flitting between cities like New York and LA and the mountainous terrain of the Colorado Rockies. At 26 years old, she left behind a stable career in psychotherapy to pursue her creative dreams. This would lead her back to Niche where a ravenous desire to evolve as an artist connected her with Peter Anthony, aka Coughman, who ran the independent KC collective and label, Intelligent Sound. Soon Anthony encouraged Zo and her friends Mazzy Mann and Lorelei Kretsinger to build a platform of their own. In October 2017, the three of them founded the UN/TUCK queer/trans collective and record label. Over the next two years, they tirelessly built UN/TUCK into an internationally recognized platform, releasing their own music and organizing shows and parties curated specifically for trans and queer people in Kansas City. Under the name BTRFLY, Zo produced her own LA-inspired beats and rapped over them in her sets. As she delved further into the realms of Chicago house, early 2000s UK dubstep, and the hybrid sounds of Hessle Audio, Hyperdub and Idle Hands, she discovered a profound love for DJing and a different kind of production. Now based in Brooklyn, she has made definitive creative statements in 2022, releasing her debut EP, Screw Cheek, on acclaimed UK club label, Scuffed Recordings, and a follow-up EP, Freak Shift, on Martyn's hallowed 3024 imprint, as well as a slew of national bookings at Bunker NY, Texture Detroit, Sole Rehab, clubs like Nowadays, Good Room and Kremwerk, festivals like Slingshot and Honcho Campout and many more on the horizon. It's clear that Zo has solidified her place as an emerging artist firmly in her own lane, with tracks that span the continuum of UK bass and North American techno and house, and mixes that seamlessly capture and defy her genres of interest, blending deep dark percussive bass and broken beat with blistering techno, psychedelic house, east coast club and more.Techno on 24, Bass Music on 22, Breaks on 17 and House on 17. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Clasico Records (2) (1), Delusional Records (2) (1) and Grid (6) (1); their RA profile also lists Pineapple Records, 3024, Fever AM, Scuffed Recordings and 1 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Mansions, public records, Medo · often with Mui Mui, Sheepshead, Saia, none of them here that night

The early years As children on earth, they were driven to understand the history of dance music and found their teacher in original boston disco DJ Caril Mitro who admitted them into the temple of Vinyl Connection (whose members included Dimitri From Paris and Frankie Knuckles plus many more). Caril taught Soul Clap that "house wears many hats" and instilled the sounds of American dance music while fostering an addiction to digging that has become a worldwide quest to acquire the best vinyl. Soul Clap´s training goes beyond history lessons to mastering all the elements of the DJ: knowledge, mixing, programming, performance and experience. In between With their roots firmly planted in their hometown of Boston, Soul Clap went out into the world to perform at places like The Marcy Hotel, Fabric, The Electric Pickle and Bar25 and in smaller places in America, Europe, Japan, Mars and Jupiter plus dancefloors in other galaxies that you haven´t heard of. They blasted into space with a series of game changing edits (including the summer 2010 anthem Extravaganza), originals (Action/Satisfaction & Lonely C) and remixes (for Laid Back, Metronomy, Little Dragon, Robert Owens, DJ Harvey and more). They joined forces with Wolf + Lamb to mix a chapter of the legendary DJ Kicks series and broke musical ground on a two month world tour of 6+ hour DJ sets. They always believe in sharing the knowledge by teaching college courses, doing workshops, speaking on panels and making sure to include forgotten classics in their epic DJ sets. The future By harnessing the past Soul Clap looks to the future. In 2012 they released their debut long player, EFUNK: The Album. A culmination of their sonic influences so far, full of collaborations and programmed to listen to on one vinyl LP, it included a cover version of Egyptian Lover’s classic Alezby Inn, which got the seal of approval from Egypt himself in the form of a remix due out in 2013. Pushing their musical message even deeper, Soul Clap proudly launched Soul Clap Records, a sounding board for original material, a framework for their own funky family and a spotlight on undiscovered talent from their hometown of Boston and beyond. To keep the vinyl torch burning the label features vinyl only tracks and limited 7” records, as a matter of fact 45’s have become an exciting new medium in Soul Clap’s DJ performance. Soul Clap Records also completes the trinity now known as Crew Love, a family formed with Wolf + Lamb and Double Standard Records. With epic Sonar & A.D.E. parties already in the history books, this brotherhood will bring together artists from all three labels for many more epic experiences in 2013. As the stars align, Soul Clap to embark on new adventures for 2013. Coming soon is a mixed compilation for newly relaunched UK Garage legend Nice ‘n Ripe records and possibly the most exciting mothership connection of all, a budding collaboration with the creator of P-Funk himself, Mr. George Clinton and his C Kunspyruhzy record label. Always pushing new boundaries, always traveling through time and space, The Clap is on a mission to change the world one dance floor at a time.
