Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Clarisa Kimskii has cemented her musical footprint on the borough since moving back in 2022. Through a palpable blend of psychedelic and driving techno, Clarisa’s approach to the genre is deeply idiosyncratic - an assemblage of both timeless and modern grooves. As a producer, Clarisa has contributed to a handful of respected labels (Monday Off, Dusk & Haze, Mysteries of the Deep, etc.) within her sonic niche, but it’s through her own label L.A.G where the ethos of her sound truly takes form - a detailed variation of propulsive and atmospheric soundscapes. Clarisa is deeply rooted in the techno subculture’s underground, and in early 2022 - the 20+ year veteran was named resident DJ of the Brooklyn-based, queer party Merge. Through her former residency at Merge and regular appearances at the city’s premiere institutions in BASEMENT Nowadays and Bossa Nova Civic Club Clarisa’s prestige is undeniably felt. Her pure, yet passionate approach to DJing has graced the decks of memorable nights at international institutions in Berlin's Berghain, Tbilisi's Khidi, and at notably iconic parties in Wrecked, Club Toilet, and The Bunker NY. Recent festival appearances at Taiwan’s Organik Festival and North America’s Honcho Campout, Sustain-Release, Whole Festival , Draaimolen and The Great Beyond have only elevated her reputation as a force within those respective communities. The saga continues with juicy bits on the horizon.Industrial on 1, Techno on 1, Acid on 1 and Minimal Techno on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesTheir RA profile lists L.A.G., Monday Off, On Board Music, Gradient and 3 more.Recently at Paragon, BASEMENT, Nowadays · often with Ne/Re/A, Berghain, Ron Like Hell, none of them here that night

“Cerebral, powerful and unique best sum up Berlin-based Mary Yuzovskaya's take on techno.”

Cerebral, powerful and unique best sum up Berlin-based Mary Yuzovskaya's take on techno. Despite coming up in the mid-2000s, Mary's route into techno is as rooted in the culture as it gets. While an initial stint in Berlin cemented a reputation for Mary's precise approach to her craft as a vinyl-only DJ who explores the subtleties of techno, it was a move to NYC in 2013 which took her career as an artist to the next level. Numerous residencies, not least a three-year run at the influential Unter, helped refine Yuzovskaya's unhurried, storytelling sound whilst developing a dedicated audience on the dance floor and the wider techno scene. Away from the decks and studio, her work as vinyl distribution manager at legendary Brooklyn record shop Halcyon provided the perfect stepping-off point for her vinyl-only imprint, Monday Off. A label she neatly describes as 'psychedelic techno', Monday Off has ploughed its furrow since 2017 and has introduced music from some of techno's most forward-thinking and out-of-the-ordinary artists. Back in Berlin since 2020, Mary's momentum continues with a diary that heavily features standout clubs and events like Berghain, Basement (NY), Gare (Porto), Hall (Tallinn), IFZ (Leipzig), Kablys (Vilnus), Pax Romana (Amsterdam), Rote Sonne (Munich), Smart Bar (Chicago) and Tresor (Berlin) whilst releases on such labels as Attic, Kvalia, Mnestic and Semantica, as well as her own Monday Off, help her reach an ever-growing fanbase. While trends ebb and flow in techno, Mary Yuzovskaya stands steadfast with her singular voice and vision.Their RA profile lists Semantica Records, Attic Music, Monday Off, female pressure and 2 more.often with GLOBUS, TRESOR, Berghain, none of them here that night
