Raised between Michigan and Ontario, the artist has carved a unique pathway for herself since the launch of her debut EP Notice, gaining traction throughout North America and beyond for her eclectic hardware live sets. With the titular single securing a spot on NPR’’s “100 Best Songs of 2021” list, Notice–released through Shigeto’s Portage Garage Sounds label–is currently on its third vinyl pressing. To the outside eye, Lakkis’ rise might appear rapid; in reality, it’s been over a decade in the making for the songwriter, singer, producer, poet, and DJ. A music lover from a young age, she wrote her first song at 17, experimenting with the singer/songwriting format before her exposure to the Detroit techno sound. Shapeshifting with time, she debuted “This Is How It Goes,” a synth-laden jam in early 2019. She discovered a sonic home in Seraphine Collective, a collective supporting women and queer creators, honing her talents as a selector and technical mixer. She premiered her live set in 2018 weaving Arabic vocals and genre-defying beats, solidifying her as one to watch. Since 2021, she’s been expanding her reach, touring with Ela Minus across the US and Shigeto across Europe, and landing a radio show with Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM. Remaining true to her roots however, she has maintained a presence in Detroit, hosting two DJ residencies in the city, playing regularly in clubs such as Spot Lite and Marble Bar, and making her debut at Movement Electronic Music Festival in 2022. She has performed in support of Danny Brown at his annual Bruiser Thanksgiving and in collaboration with NTS. In 2022, she was named a Kresge Artist Fellow for her boundary-pushing artistic achievement. She premiered her music video for Notice’s “Wen Rayeh” in late 2022 to positive reception. She’s currently developing her sophomore release. -Crystal MionerTheir RA profile lists Portage Garage Sounds.Recently at Forest City Lodge 180, Gabriela, Good Room · often with DJ Shannon, Vladimir Ivkovic, cotton, none of them here that night

theoretic is Jersey-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, educator, & event curator entrenched in the beating heart of Brooklyn's underground music scene. Their sonic craft spans a fusion of House, Techno, Disco, NY Garage, Soul, & Black club music without limits, across borders. Whether spinning via digital waveforms, or from their vast record collection, their style is a symphonic medley that compels even the most restrained feet to move. theoretic currently holds residencies at beloved club ANIMAL, and a monthly radio show at Hi-Note Radio. They created the long-standing party series "House Anatomy" at Jupiter Disco for their former residency, and is now the creator & curator of an online DJ interview series "SCRIMMAGE." They've played for crowds at acclaimed venues such as Elsewhere, Eavesdrop, Le Bain, Good Room, Outer Heaven, Mood Ring, Nowadays, Earthly Delights, Cafe Erzulie, Soho House, & beyond. theoretic has also spread their talents internationally; they've contributed an all-vinyl set for the series My Analog Journal, played for the Hamburg festival Kampnagel, and shared decks with legends from A Guy Called Gerald, to Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale. In addition, theoretic's music has been featured on acclaimed compilations, namely, "IYKYK" via the Brooklyn label Air Texture, that DJ Mag ranked as one of their "best compilations of 2024" their song mentioned as "the best tracks are the ones that feel like they are twisting genres inside out. On theoretic’s ‘Lucky LaWanda’, they take the icy melody of 8-bit grime and lay it over funky, swung house drum programming." They've also released on Madrid-based label, Others to the Front's first compilation, and in March of 2025, they released their first EP, Eponymous EP. To experience theoretic's fearlessly creative attitude, spend time inside their encyclopedic, yet unpretentious mixes; they've been featured on The Lot Radio, Balamii Radio, Newtown Radio, Lower Grand Radio, Playground Radio, & more. Their sonic odyssey breaks norms & melds genres; their goal is to be timeless.Their RA profile lists Air Texture and Others To The Front.Recently at Jupiter Disco, H0L0, Café Balearica · often with Niyah West, Tre D'Ambrocia, PUFF, none of them here that night
