Peggy Gou is a Berlin based Korean artist. Through a regular stream of high quality mixes she has begun to turn heads in underground circles. Sitting somewhere between Detroit, London and Berlin in sound, her DJ sets are a assured, kinetic combination of dark, pulsing house and techno, broken beats and abstract compositions. Regular studio sessions have been fertile and her first release, a double EP ‘September War’ will appear on Matt Radio Slave Edwards dominant Rekids imprint in early 2016. Peggy also has several highly conceptual tracks lined up for a host of other labels. Peggy is already showing signs of becoming a highly unique and singular artist as she embarks on her journey into music.Their RA profile lists Rekids, Phonica White, Madhouse, Needs (not-for-profit) and 1 more.Recently at The Glasshouse · often with Not Without Friends, Basement Jaxx, Dom Dolla, none of them here that night

He´s the Techno punk, the wanderer between the worlds: Berlin DJ and producer Alex Ridha, better known as BOYS NOIZE, made his DJ debut at the age of 15, taking a teenager´s love of house and techno to a global scale. Ridha established himself as one of the world’s preeminent wizards behind the decks, not only technically but also as a showman. His sets are as uplifting as they are unforgettable. He’s been anointed one of the “Top 10 DJ’s Who Rule The World” by Rolling Stone, elected “Best Electronic Act” by Beatport 3 years in a row, and lauded by virtually every dance authority. He´s rocked the world’s biggest stages, lit up Coachella three times, stormed Lollapalooza, and headlined festivals and clubs on every continent – from Berlin techno temple Berghain, Manchester's Warehouse Project to Fuji Rock in Japan and Bon Iver’s Eaux Claires Festival in the woods of Wisconsin. All on his own terms. As an artist and producer, BOYS NOIZE has created a sound that is peerless, uncompromising, and enduring – respected in the scene, banging from underground to mainstream, his work flies in the face of convention at every turn. He’s remixed Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, David Lynch and Nine Inch Nails, collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Jarvis Cocker and Santigold, worked on Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Special” as well as the soundtrack and theme song for Oliver Stone’s film “Snowden” and german blockbuster “Who Am I” , and founded similarly diverse group projects with genius pianist Chilly Gonzales (Octave Minds), Virgil Abloh (Off-White), Erol Alkan and Mr. Oizo (Handbraekes), to name a few. Ridha is also running his own label, Boysnoize Records (BNR), which he founded in 2005. Originally started to retain his full artistic freedom and in order to release his own music under BOYS NOIZE, BNR became a home for multidirectional quality electronic music, having formed a league of its own whilst escaping any ill-fitting genre pigeonholes. The Berlin-based “non-conformist DIY anarchist collective” (Dazed & Confused) have celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2015 and count more than 150 releases including albums from Chilly Gonzales, Spank Rock, SCNTST, Siriusmo, Djedjotronic, Housemeister and Cardopusher, EP´s from Dave Clarke, Josh Wink, Peaches, Strip Steve, Jensen Interceptor as well as BOYS NOIZE´s debut “Oi Oi Oi” (2007), “Power” (2009), “Out Of The Black” (2012), "Strictly Raw Vol.1" (2015), “Mayday” (2016) and his latest "Strictly Raw Vol.2" "... and the spinner will spin. and the bass will be thunder subterranean. and the river will rise as raindrops. from berlin. my favorite electronic music in the world. immediate. throbbing." - Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) “One of the most prolific and brilliant artists.” - Zane Lowe (Beats 1) "BOYS NOIZE is the only DJ who can play underground techno for 30,000 people." - 2MANYDJS / SoulwaxTheir RA profile lists Mute Records, Cocoon Recordings, International DeeJay Gigolo Records, Turbo Recordings and 1 more.Recently at Elsewhere · often with Godtripper, TINKERHELL, Jenna Shaw, none of them here that night

the whole biography
Lauren Flax has been a lifelong musician, starting to play the drums at 8 years old before continuing on to guitar and bass in high school. She began her DJ career in the underground dance and rave scenes of Detroit as a resident at the Motor Lounge, playing every Tuesday night along with resident DJs Mike Servito, DJ Dilemma, Jason Kendig, and Derek Plaslaiko. Flax played the very first Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000 on the Motor stage. While originally starting off as a jungle DJ, Flax evolved her style into a variety techno, house, and electro music. Flax moved to Chicago in 1999, where she honed in on music production while continuing to DJ. By 2002, she relocated again to Manhattan, which shortly followed the release of her first remix, "Much Finer" for Le Tigre. In 2018, Flax was introduced to DJ Haus by fellow Detroit musician and friend Jimmy Edgar, to which he quickly signed a record, resulting in "Dance Trax Vol. 16" (2018). In 2019, Flax joined the mostly Detroit-born New York collective The Bunker New York,[1] on which she released "One Man’s House is Another Woman’s Techno EP" (2019). The EP was highly successful and sold out quickly. Flax met with Brooklyn-based record label 2MR in 2019, curious to explore beyond the realm of dance music. She remixed 'Breathe' by label-mate Pale Blue, and that ended up inspiring Flax's new style of music. After the remix was released, Flax took to writing a 6 track EP, merging genres of ambient, acid house, and much more, set to come out in Summer 2021. Flax started touring the United States and Europe as a solo artist in 2019, performing live analog sets, pushing the boundaries of what a DJ is defined as.House on 39, Techno on 22, Acid House on 13 and Electro on 17. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on WRKTRX (3), Aliens On Wax (1) and House Of Efunk Records (1); their RA profile also lists Defected Records, !K7, Toolroom Records, Nervous Records and 6 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at The Abode of the Message, Nowadays, House of Yes · often with Sevyn 0000, Austin Kunis, Costume Design, none of them here that night
