After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores was hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouses, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the moniker Audio Injection, which landed on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 and continues today as resident at the infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. In early 2011, he started the project 'Truncate' to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases have been gain critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, East Everything, Jooris Voorn, and many more. “Back in the day when acid was just a tab, DJ Pierre was holed up in his bedroom inventing a sound which would impact on the music scene forever.”

Back in the day when acid was just a tab, DJ Pierre was holed up in his bedroom inventing a sound which would impact on the music scene forever. In 1986, ‘acid house’ was in its pre-infancy when DJ Pierre picked up a Roland TB-303 and the infamous “Acid Tracks” was born. Not many artists in the history of dance music can list Carl Cox, Daft Punk, Richie Hawtin, Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, and Michael Mayer (Kompakt Records) as fans. Not many can claim responsibility for helping kick start the careers of Felix Da Housecat and Roy Davis Jr. Not many can lay claim to giving birth to a genre and pioneering a sound that had the whole world dancing and imitating for over thirty years. DJ/Producer/Remixer, Nathaniel Pierre Jones AKA DJ Pierre is a rare breed. A pioneer of not one but two genres—acid house and wildpitch—Pierre is an artist who is considered a mentor to many of the ‘A’ list DJs—old and new—whose passion and talent continues to stand strong in an industry that’s had its ups ‘n’ downs. From the days of ‘Phuture’, Pierre’s highly successful guise with fellow squelchers DJ Spank Spank and Herb J—and their epic release ‘Acid Trax’—to his biggest hit ‘The Horn Song’—featuring Barbara Tucker—his solo projects with David Morales, Felix Da Housecat and his stint as Head of A&R at Strictly Rhythm, DJ Pierre is a force to be reckoned with. After releasing Wild Pitch: The Story—his very first artist album after 30 years of releasing hit singles and EPs—DJ Pierre has built up his team at Afro Acid (his new record label) along with its sister labels Jack Trax Records and Afro Deep to show the world just why house music was worth shouting about in the first place. “My music is the center of my world”, says the Acid Boss. “Once I get the vibe going, I can’t stop. It’s an intense feeling, fusing the rhythm and beats in an underground groove that makes the dance floor shake and people move. It’s a very spiritual evolution for me — one that I take very seriously.” “House is always going to be here. There is always going to be some form of underground dance music. It’s not going to snuff out. People will always have a need to express themselves,” he says. “I get a really spiritual vibe from what I do. With the right beat, the right flow, I get a hypnotic feeling from the music I produce. I could be doing something more commercial, but then it wouldn’t be true.”Their RA profile lists Cr2 Records, Different, Trax Records, Strictly Rhythm and 6 more.often with EXTRA, EXTRAEXTRA, HOPPER, none of them here that night
“Justin's coming-of-age as a fan and creator of dance music took place amidst the wide expanses of central Illinois.”

Justin's coming-of-age as a fan and creator of dance music took place amidst the wide expanses of central Illinois. As a kid growing up in the state’s tucked-away capital of Springfield, he played drums as a jazz percussionist in school. While most of his peers were tuned into pop music, Justin was wearing out self-made mixes and classic disco compilations, workshopping new-wave influenced beats in bands and DJing college parties. A post-graduation move to Chicago led him to work for the influential dance music blog Little White Earbuds, opening him up to fully experience the city’s thriving underground house and techno scene. A Midwest-born and raised DJ, Justin has played at queer parties such as Wrecked, The Carry Nation, Horse Meat Disco, Honcho, and Club Toilet, and has gained a following all over the world with appearances at clubs like Smartbar Chicago, Panorama Bar, Is Burning Amsterdam, Razzmatazz Barcelona, DC10 and Lux Fragil. His bold, acid-flecked distillation of house and techno has found a home on the labels that are helping to shape the current landscape of transgressive body music, including The Bunker New York, Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions, and Honey Soundsystem Records. Justin's sound is defined by snaking acid lines, whip smart drums and offbeat rave melodies that have resonated with DJs and dancers from Detroit to Berlin. He has been featured in mixes for series such as Beats In Space, Truants, MixMag, Phantasy and The Bunker New York’s long-running podcast.Techno on 23, House on 20, Tech House on 10 and Acid on 9. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Acid For Trans Health (1), Spotlight Records (1) and The Night Institute (1); their RA profile also lists Turbo Recordings, Hotflush Recordings, Interdimensional Transmissions, Phonica White and 6 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at public records, SILO, The Chocolate Factory · often with Mike Servito, Jeffrey Sfire, Kim Anh, none of them here that night
