Shaped by years of going to the source—from NYC, Chicago and Detroit to Tokyo and other cities across Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia—immersing himself in underground scenes, learning directly from key figures and local communities, and performing on storied dance floors along the way, he has developed an authentic voice as a multidisciplinary artist on and off the floor. As a DJ, he crafts sets that are heavily informed by his background as a dancer: playful and daring, shifting in rhythm and pace across genres while being deeply rooted in queer lineages of house and club culture. An active member of the ballroom, whacking and house dance scenes, he draws on years of shared practice to give their movements and stories space at the center of the night, where they are lived rather than referenced. During his years in Copenhagen, he launched SPECTRA, a queer- and dance-centered club night and residency, and co-founded UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE, a sober dance and club initiative—projects that create spaces for genuine connection, joy and self-expression, keeping faith with the original promise of the dance floor. ~ REFERENCES [USA] New York City, NY ~ Good Room · Le Bain · Bossa Nova · Jupiter Disco · The Lot Radio Detroit, MI ~ Movement · Temple Bar · Underground Music Academy Chicago, IL ~ Smart Bar · Arbella [EUROPE] Berlin, DE ~ Sisyphos · Fusion Festival · Multisex · Renate · Refuge Worldwide Hamburg, DE ~ Queer Pool · Südpol Cologne, DE ~ Fi · Odonien · Zugvøgel Festival Munich, DE ~ Charlie Glasgow, UK ~ Stereo Edinburgh, UK ~ Sneaky Pete’s Copenhagen, DK ~ Jolene · Den Anden Side · Culture Box [ASIA] Tokyo / Osaka, JP ~ Mitsuki · Bridge · Aoyama Tunnel · Oath · Bonobo Seoul / Busan / Daegu, SK ~ Seoul Community Radio · Bolero · Output · OST Bangkok, TH ~ Safe Room Ho Chi Minh City, VN ~ The Lighthouse Manila, PH ~ XX XX · Circus 2020 Festival

“Heidy.P started her journey 13 years ago.”

  the whole biography

Heidy.P started her journey 13 years ago. She got her first taste of DJing through a weekly show that she hosted on a Montreal university radio station. Initially focused on rock, a few months spent in Berlin expanded her musical horizon and made her discover the endless possibilities of electronic music. She moved behind the turntables, refining her sound and going deeper into house music, disco and techno. Montreal is her hometown and she has hosted many late night events in unusual settings all over the city, like an old printing factory turned techno bunker and a dominatrix loft. She has been based in Europe since 2016, Lisbon being her current homebase. She hosts a monthly show on Radio Quantica and produces music with her project Rhythm Phazer.  She holds a residency at Desterro and teaches DJ and music production workshops in the community. She has performed in multiple cities in the past few years including Berlin, Paris, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh and New York, as well as having a string of guest mixes on online radio stations such as Rinse France, N.10.as and The Lot Radio.
