  The name “Hotwaxx” has been deeply embedded in Detroit’s dance scene in clubs ‘Cheeks’, ‘The Warehouse’, ‘Heaven’, ‘Studio 54’, ‘Grasshopper Underground’, ‘Populux’, ‘Menjo’s’, ‘Heaven’, ‘TV Bar’ and more since 1989. Her international presence includes performing in London, Ibiza, Berlin, Amsterdam, Toronto, and across the USA in New York at the famous Apollo Theatre, Soul Camp in California, including Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose, and Los Angeles; Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago. Stacey Hale was a mainstay on the radio stations in the mid to late 80s, including WLBS, WHYT, WDRQ and WJLB, winning the Motor City Mix contest 10k prize. Stacey has been featured on numerous Internet radio shows and is currently featured on www.deepspaceradio.com Hotwaxx has formed a live music group, Nyumba Muziki, which has performed at the Charles H Wright Museum of African American History, and for the Detroit 300 Conservancy. Currently, she is the Assistant Music Director / DJ in Jessica Care Moore’s Black Women Rock Band.   A Brooklyn resident since 2002, Mickey represents & presents a non-commercial, diasporic sound irrespective of national borders spanning many different styles of dance music across Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Brasil & Black America. Mickey currently has a regular monthly show on NYC's The Lot Radio titled BeBop Porú which runs concurrently as a monthly to bi-monthly dance party in Brooklyn, Mexico City & Miami. In 2022, Mickey launched a community based summer music series for all ages with Toribio (Conclave/BDA) called Public Service that runs monthly across neighborhood parks in Bed-Stuy & Bushwick in Brooklyn. In addition to playing regularly throughout Brooklyn, NYC; Mickey's also rocked crowds abroad in London, Montreal, Toronto, Almaty, Kazakhstan, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Bogotá & Medellín in Colombia as well as Havana in Cuba in addition to doing his thing in Philadelphia, DC, St. Louis, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Las Vegas & Miami nationally in the United States. In 2018, Mickey became a member of the legendary New York City Salsa record label - Fania Records’ Collective of DJs/Producers just prior the acquisition of Fania by Concord Music Group.

  theoretic is Jersey-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, educator, & event curator entrenched in the beating heart of Brooklyn's underground music scene. Their sonic craft spans a fusion of House, Techno, Disco, NY Garage, Soul, & Black club music without limits, across borders. Whether spinning via digital waveforms, or from their vast record collection, their style is a symphonic medley that compels even the most restrained feet to move. theoretic currently holds residencies at beloved club ANIMAL, and a monthly radio show at Hi-Note Radio. They created the long-standing party series "House Anatomy" at Jupiter Disco for their former residency, and is now the creator & curator of an online DJ interview series "SCRIMMAGE." They've played for crowds at acclaimed venues such as Elsewhere, Eavesdrop, Le Bain, Good Room, Outer Heaven, Mood Ring, Nowadays, Earthly Delights, Cafe Erzulie, Soho House, & beyond. theoretic has also spread their talents internationally; they've contributed an all-vinyl set for the series My Analog Journal, played for the Hamburg festival Kampnagel, and shared decks with legends from A Guy Called Gerald, to Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale. In addition, theoretic's music has been featured on acclaimed compilations, namely, "IYKYK" via the Brooklyn label Air Texture, that DJ Mag ranked as one of their "best compilations of 2024" their song mentioned as "the best tracks are the ones that feel like they are twisting genres inside out. On theoretic’s ‘Lucky LaWanda’, they take the icy melody of 8-bit grime and lay it over funky, swung house drum programming."
