their own biography
the whole biography
Anfisa Letyago is a DJ, producer, and vocal talent based in Italy, whose musical journey began within the vibrant club scene of Naples, where she transitioned from clubber to disc selector in 2009. Located in Naples, the cultural heartbeat of Southern Italy, Anfisa immerses herself in a club culture defined by sincerity and passion, fueling her deep fascination with electronic music. This dynamic environment allowed her to absorb the eclectic sounds of numerous international DJs, nurturing her love for record collecting and the rich spectrum of underground electronic music. Her early productions draw inspiration from the minimal, hypnotic, and groovy techno and house sounds that rose to prominence in Naples. After several years in the Italian club circuit, Anfisa experienced a defining moment through a serendipitous encounter with Carl Cox. This meeting opened the door to newfound support within the techno scene; Carl acknowledged her productions and began to advocate for her work—a casual encounter that proved transformative. This connection led to the release of her music on his esteemed label, Intec Digital, where her EPs, “So Good” and “Hypnotic,” established a presence in the label's catalog. Soon, labels sought her out for releases, and she has since contributed to the catalogs of notable labels, including Kompakt, Deutsche Grammophon, Rekids, Nervous Records, and Hotflush, among others. In 2021, driven by the desire to weave a narrative through a distinct musical vision, Anfisa launched her own record label, NSDA. Inspired by the Island of Nisida and the sea—Anfisa’s primal influence that resonates deeply with her as a Pisces—water is her natural element. Its power inspires profound and hypnotic sounds, while its fluidity crafts her melodies. The label embodies the mystical and intriguing facets of electronic music. It reflects the city’s volcanic, chaotic energy, propelling both music and vision to be introspective and vibrant. NSDA features works and remixes from prominent artists such as DJ Rush, Answer Code Request, Marcel Dettmann, Exos, Anastasia Kristensen, Anfisa herself and many others. In 2022, Moby approached her to remix his iconic track ‘Go’ for Deutsche Grammophon. Their collaboration flourished over the next two years, culminating in the release of ‘You & Me,’ where Anfisa not only produced but also lent her voice to create a driving, wistful electronic piece enriched with dreamy layers, later receiving remixes from both Deetron and Moby himself. Increasingly, Letyago’s solo productions, including ‘Rosso Profondo,’ ‘Feelin,’ ‘In My Arms,’ the recent release ‘Radar,’ and ‘Confusion’ in collaboration with Unfinished Portraits, prominently feature her own vocals. “The most important instrument we have is our voice; through it, you can express the deepest concepts and create some of the most hypnotic sounds imaginable.” In 2024, Anfisa Letyago won the ‘DJ of the Year’ award at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards, a significant achievement for an underground artist and a testament to her invaluable recognition in the international music scene.Their RA profile lists Rekids, Hotflush Recordings, Nervous Records, NSDA and 1 more.Recently at Artsdistrict Brooklyn · often with HAMY, Natalie Robinson, Faerber, none of them here that night

Gigolo means Playboy, but the word originally derives from the ancient French "Gigole" which used to mean Dancing Woman. This makes DJ Gigola both, a dancing woman and a playboy. Where others see tension and contradiction, DJ Gigola sees a chance for creation. In her playful way of breaking down boundaries, she hits the Zeitgeist of a generation that continuously transforms and recontextualises seemingly fixed concepts and stereotypes. As a result, both her sets and productions are quint-essentially genre-fluid. Her critically acclaimed cutting edge releases take a hybrid approach, successfully blending boundaries between Dance and Pop music. On a night out, you might hear DJ Gigola mix Madonna out of an old Bonzai record and back into Surgeon all within 5 minutes. Her sets are enigmatic and reflect a natural sense of curiosity - eager to explore, she does not shy away from experimenting. As playful as DJ Gigola’s selection may seem, however, she rigorously weaves together seemingly disperse tracks with one common thread: rhythm. She experiences music primarily through the rhythmic structure emergent from patterns of percussion rather than layers of melodic harmonies. This deep understanding for rhythm and groove, combined with her multi-facetted knowledge of music and curious audacity to try new things makes DJ Gigola one of the most exciting DJs to experience on a dance floor.Their RA profile lists Public Possession, Live From Earth and Method 808.Recently at Paragon, H0L0 · often with Margo XS, OZA, MCR-T, none of them here that night

Indira Paganotto was born in 1992 and is at the moment one of Spain's most iconic and recognisable artists. Indira has had the most eclectic musical upbringing. Her father, a DJ in the 80's, was her educator and his collection of disco, jazz, acid house and goa music was the perfect library for the girl from Madrid. Her sets are full of elegance and effusive danceability, with a quality selection that brings us from 90 ́s disco to the most current underground techno music. Wherever or whenever, her style is energetic, regardless of whether it is hard or soft. This energetic eclecticism has become her signature trait, together with a constant smile! In the last 12 months, Indira’s rise has been unstoppable: from headlining all major clubs and events, such as Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Circoloco, Amnesia Ibiza, EXIT festival, Pacha Barcelona, Shelter Amsterdam, Fabric London, EDC Las Vegas, Thuishaven, Bar Americas, Nordstern, Cavo Paradiso, DC-10, and many others, Indira’s become a well- known name across the globe. With a big support from Charlotte de Witte, Indira has performed at her KNTXT events globally: Europe, North America, South America.. Often combining very diverse sounds, Indira impeccably manages to capture the audience’s attention. Her trademark, psy-trance mixed with techno, has nowadays become a synonym for her. In March 2023 she released a collaboration with Nina Kraviz, ‘white horse’, on Nina’s Trip label. Having launched her own label in June 2022, ARTCORE, there is a busy release schedule ahead: after the first Guns and Horses, with the next one coming in June 2023. This summer will see Indira perform at some of the most exclusive events and A-list festivals, such as Tomorrowland Main Stage, Awakenings Festival (both editions), Monegros Festival, Ikarus Festival, Kappa Festival, Extrema, Sonus, Exit Festival... Moreover, she will be launching Indira Paganotto Curates as a residency at the infamous Amnesia Ibiza, where she’ll be curating the Main Room for Capriati’s Metamorfosi events. Indira’s future is as bright as her smile: with her energy, her dedication to work and her flawless skills, she will never let the audience leave feeling indifferently - she is there to make a statement. “Miss Monique is miss unique.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Miss Monique is miss unique. A Ukrainian DJ, producer and label owner who’s a YouTube, clubland and streaming phenomenon, with over 200 million cumulative views and almost 800,000 monthly Spotify listeners. A trailblazing artist in the progress/melodic space with a huge online following hooked on her exquisitely crafted and produced livestreams – the most recent instalment of her filmed MiMo Podcast, number 042, a 70-minute Melodic Techno & House DJ Mix, had one million views within a month. A talent incubator and champion in her own right: this year Siona Records, Miss Monique’s home for other young progressive artists, celebrates its fifth anniversary. Her Siona Records 3rd Anniversary @ Ibiza mix, launched on YT in June 2022, has been viewed almost 19.5 million times. A fast-rising international performing phenom, drawing huge audiences from Argentina (4500 tickets sold for her last show in Rosario), to Canada (her 2022 set at Montreal’s Biosphere Museum for Cercle is also online, with five million views and counting), to Ibiza (multiple annual shows at multiple venues) to the US (she’s just been announced for Coachella 2024), to the UK – she’ll be appearing alongside CamelPhat at this summer’s Junction 2 festival in London, a show trailed by the honour of an upcoming Essential Mix for Pete Tong. "That's an honour, and I'm very nervous, of course!" she admits. "And very excited at the same time." And Miss Monique is a breakthrough recording artist who cut through in 2023. Building on the success of her 2022 remix of Sied van Riel's Rush (the most-sold progressive house track on Beatport that year), last year she remixed Sorry by BLOND:ISH featuring Madonna and Ringo by Lufthaus, Robbie Williams’s dance project with Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis. And she released three big singles of her own: Subterranean, The Morning After (with Paul Thomas) and City Boy. Those artist releases came via Adam Beyer’s techno label Drumcode and Armin Van Burren’s more trance-driven Armada. Factor in her proven ability to remix across the electronic spectrum and collaborate with producers and vocalists such as Avira and Luna (both on Subterranean), and it all speaks to another game-changing aspect of Miss Monique’s skillset: her effortless ability to shapeshift between genres and sounds. Little wonder that she recently signed to WME, and is a 2024 priority act for the powerhouse Los Angeles-based agency’s Electronic Division. This, then, is Miss Monique’s kaleidoscopic world. It’s a space where her signature green hair (an accidentally iconic look now much-copied by fans) is far from the only colour in the creative palette of an effervescent, positivity-promoting artist who prioritises good mental and physical health. Those ideas are also at the heart, sonically and metaphorically, of her epically uplifting, powerfully percussive latest track, Veselka. Long teased as the opener in her sets, the instrumental was finally released on Siona Records at the top of ’24. The translation of that Ukrainian word? Rainbow. "Veselka is the last track which was finished in my hometown Kyiv before I had to leave my country due to the war," explains Miss Monique, real name Olesia Arusha. "This track has pure energy, good vibes and is imprinted in my memory like a bright moment of peaceful times. I feel from our listeners they're excited to finally have the copy in their playlists.” It seems highly likely. As Progressive Astronaut noted in their rave review: “Veselka… has resulted [in] hands-in-the-air moments throughout her huge Christmas and New Year shows from Berlin to San Diego”. But beyond the facts, stats and hits, she’s something more. Born in the small town of Kirovograd and raised in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital where she cut her teeth as a teenage DJ, Lisbon-based Miss Monique is a reluctant artist-in-exile. She's using her music and her performances to spread messages of peace, unity, solidarity and joyful defiance. Two years after she was forced to leave her war-torn country, she’s proud that, wherever she travels in the world, her shows are as much about flags in the air as hands in the air. “This kind of support, it's incredible,” she says appreciatively of the fans, of multiple nationalities, who wave the Ukrainian flag at her gigs. “But at the beginning, it was very hard. You don't know how to control your feelings. I remember when the first time I saw the flag, it was in Israel. I ran away for a few seconds because it was very painful. “Now I'm more controlled in my emotions. But I'm very appreciative of everyone doing this, because that means that people still remember, even after two years. They're still trying to help us. The main thing is that they don't forget, and they show that every time they come.” Miss Monique’s emergence as a global talent came during the pandemic. She was already a big draw at home in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries, her profile hard-earned after a decade playing out and, way ahead of her peers, honing her YouTube artistry. But during the lockdowns her livestreamed sets from her home studio went viral. They were characterised by high production values, with Miss Monique’s natural, unforced decks-appeal radiating good vibes at a time when the world needed them most. Then, as restrictions eased, her profile rocketed as online fans around the world were finally able to see her live – by her estimation, in 2022 she and her close-knit team took some 200 flights to over 100 events. There, again, it’s important for her to be an ambassador not just for her country but for a better way of pursuing both artistry and fan satisfaction. For that reason, “I take care of my body as much as I can,” Miss Monique says. “Because I want to be fresh, young and healthy as long as possible.” And, of course, that clean-living and progressive mental attitude helps with a productivity that is as boundless as it is impressive. In 2024 she’ll be using her new global partnership with talent agency WME to expand the activities of Siona Records in promoting the new artists she and her team have discovered and are supporting. She’ll be touring wherever the music takes her. In the earliest weeks of the year alone those bookings include stops in Italy, Montreal, Andorra, Bali and Amsterdam with, down the line, slots on the Main Stage at Tomorrowland and the Carl Cox stage at Ultra Miami. There’s talk, too, of a fashion collaboration on her own capsule collection, with that signature look having drawn attention from various brands. And, after Veselka, she’ll be releasing multiple new tracks. “I’m always testing my new music in the clubs, because it's very important to me to first of all see how it's working, then I do some more edits. Only then do I release the music.” Somehow, amidst her performing schedule, she vows to “work harder on the production side of my own music. More collaborations with singers, some bigger artists…” Miss Monique, then, is excited for the year and opportunities ahead. It’s a role that’s fired by feelings that, compared to most of her peers are, inarguably, more meaningful, more important and more powerful. “If I have a party in two hours, but I’m reading in the news that Kyiv was just bombed again, I can sit and cry. But at the same time, I know that I have to turn off my feelings, and still bring the people happiness. Because I always try to make people happy.”Their RA profile lists Black Hole Recordings.Recently at Brooklyn Mirage · often with Joplyn, 8KAYS, Jono Stephenson, none of them here that night

“Ricardo Villalobos is a Chilean electronic music producer and DJ.”
their own biography

Ricardo Villalobos is a Chilean electronic music producer and DJ. He is well-known for his work in the minimal techno and microhouse genres. Villalobos was born in the capital of Chile, Santiago, in the year 1970. However, at the age of three he moved to Germany with his family after General Augusto Pinochet overthrew the socialist government of Salvador Allende in 1973. When Ricardo was around 10 or 11 he started to play conga and bongos. Though he loved music, he could never see himself as a musician. In the late eighties he began to make electronic music. From a very young age he has been a a big fan of Depeche Mode, even following their tours around Europe to listen to them. Villalobos takes much of his inspiration from Depeche Mode, as well as other artists such as Daniel Miller, Thomas Melchior, Baby Ford, Daniel Bell and Andrew Weatherall. He has also taken inspiration from rhythmic South American music. Villalobos began to play his music at parties while he was studying at university, but this was only for his own enjoyment. He started a label, Placid Flavour, in 1993 but this was unsuccessful. His first record was released on the German Playhouse label in 1994 and he began DJing as a professional in 1998, and is in present times regarded as one of the most important minimal DJs in Europe, alongside other talented chilean djs and producers such as Luciano Nicolet (an occasional collaborator) and Dandy JackTheir RA profile lists Music For Freaks, Cocoon Recordings, Playhouse, Klang Elektronik and 6 more.Last at Under the K Bridge in Jun · often with Volkan Akin, Tomas Station, O.BEE, none of them here that night
“Sven Väth is quite simply unique.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Sven Väth is quite simply unique. A legend in his own lifetime with a commitment and passion that has influenced the advance and evolution of electronic music. Clubs, record labels and careers have been launched. There are some people that are destined to emerge and change things. Change landscapes. Sven Väth is a risk taking visionary, an instigator, an innovator and very possibly invincible. 1981 and Frankfurt it started. Quickly the figurehead for a techno revolution in Germany that was to spread far and wide. Worldwide. Setting sail alone, this was 1981 and this was new. The Omen Club and so many other adventures punctuated this period, getting the sound out there . Vinyl then, vinyl now. Parties that mattered and changed things. Parties that reinforced a vision and eventually gave birth to Cocoon. An extraordinary residency in one of the best clubs in the world was unleashed in 1999. Cocoon Ibiza, Amnesia on a Monday night. Now 16 years of parties that have set new standards in production and have never compromised on what matters. The music. An incredible risk became, and still is, one of the great successes in modern music and clubbing. A phenomenon now attracting upwards of 80,000 visitors in a 4 month season with Sven Vath front and centre throughout. Along with Cocoon Ibiza Sven created a booking agency (now Flash Artist Booking - targeting the best and the brightest), an event agency (Cocoon Event – spreading the vision across 5 continents and now over 30 countries) and a record label (Cocoon Recordings - with a back catalogue stuffed with quality) that gets ever more important and keeps on growing. For all that you just have to meet the man behind the decks to really get it. With vinyl flailing he picks up a crowd and takes them with him. At a Sven gig you are in a performance with no one knowing quite what is going to happen. It has always been so. There may be 120 gigs a year, some very big some more intimate, but you will always feel invited and you will always see the heart of the man. That heart belongs to the crowd. Everyone is a VIP. Sven Väth is rock and roll. In October 2014 there was a happening that expressed this togetherness and mutual respect. It was a 50th birthday party in stunning surroundings where 12,000 people joined together in Mannheim to celebrate a monumental life and career. An unforgettable night of dancing and community In 2015 another very special moment as Sven was honoured by the City of Frankfurt with the „Goethplakette“, issued only to those that have made a real contribution to the cultural life of the city. A formal occasion but one that was important because it acknowledged at a different level the positivity that dance music can bring. A force for good. There was an after party of course, is Sven after all..... Some fascinating collaborations have emerged as Sven has continued to explore another passion, contemporary art. Intriguing link ups with such influential figures as Tobias Rehberger and Andreas Gursky, both long term friends, are sure to throw up more surprises in the next months and years. 2016 and that means an astonishing 35 years as a Dj and an equally astonishing 17th season of Cocoon Ibiza The most charismatic DJ of his generation is more vital and relevant than ever. Sprinkling her sets with everything from cheesy pop bangers to darkwave synth and acid house, Tony y Not’s razor-sharp yet free-spirited DJing empowers crowds to let loose and not take themselves too seriously. Combining discerning taste with a fun stage presence, the Zurich-born, New York based artist has graced the decks at world-leading clubs and events such as fabric, Watergate, teksupport, Stranger Than, Zamna, Public Records and Brooklyn Mirage, at festivals including Piknic Electronik Montreal, Fusion, Elements and Love Machine, and has released on some of the finest labels in electronic music (Kompakt, Nervous Records, Live At Robert Johnson, fabric records, Me Me Me and Ombra International). Her DJing style is open-minded and open-hearted, perhaps cycling through brooding cosmic disco, candied tech-trance, murky acid techno and ravey piano house, or blending bright techy acid with groovy vocal-led cuts and heart-opening indie. Drawing from the 1980s to the present day, she fluidly shifts between light and dark moods and delights in a sense of playfulness not always embraced by more serious-minded peers. The tracks she makes are similarly colourful and complex, often featuring a mid-tempo BPM, long builds and a celestial quality. They’re perfect at 2am in sweaty, laser-strewn nightclubs but work equally well at forest raves or under the open skies, dancing in the dust. As she continues to release on ever-impressive labels, Tony y Not has been collecting the gigs to match and has found herself supporting some of her biggest heroes. Tiga, Solomun, Michael Bibi, Jennifer Cardini, DJ Tennis, Dixon, LP Giobbi, Chaos in the CBD, Ben UFO and DJ Seinfeld are just some of the artists she’s shared bills with, testament to the respect she’s won from fans and peers alike and her ability to rock any party she’s booked at. Beyond the music, Tony y Not is determined to be a force for good in the scene.
