    their own biography

    the whole biography
Watching DJ BORING in action is the antithesis of his mundane pseudonym; vibrant, energising, fun and full of passion, Tristan Hallis puts his all into every set. Over the last few years he has ascended rapidly thanks to his dazzling displays, impeccable selection and high quality productions. The Australian selector takes great pride in his digging capabilities, constantly searching for lesser-known gems from years gone by, and pairing them up with more recent cuts that are equally exceptional. Since he arrived with ‘Winona’ in 2016, DJ BORING has continued to push forward and demonstrate his abilities on stage, in the clubs, at festivals and behind-the-scenes in the studio. He has an innate ability to blend seemingly disparate styles. His debut on BBC Radio 1’s legendary Essential Mix and an amazing Boiler Room appearance at Lost Sundays exemplify this DJ style, but tune in to any of his streams, recorded sets or, better still, see him in person and you’re bound to be left buzzing by his sheer dynamism. In the studio, the producer has honed in on a contemporary sound that pays homage to the roots of dance music. His productions are birthed in hardware and imbued with Hallis' energetic personality - a human touch which can often be lacking in many productions today. This trait shines through in his new live show where hardware and controllers become a natural extension of his creative self, a conduit through which he presents a fresh take on his music. DJ BORING epitomises the dance floor roots of club culture; positive energy, liberating and unifying selections and unbridled fun and self-expression, combined with respect for the music and a genuine desire to share his unwavering passion. Despite his impressive list of achievements it’s clear BORING is only just getting started, with his first live show finalised alongside plans for an album project in the not-too-distant future, the stage is set for the next phase of this soaring artist’s remarkable career.

“Since the release of his debut EP Postcards in 2022, Anish Kumar has emerged as a major talent from the UK’s electronic music scene.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
Since the release of his debut EP Postcards in 2022, Anish Kumar has emerged as a major talent from the UK’s electronic music scene. The 25-year-old British-Indian artist has received repeated co-signs from Four Tet, Daphni, Bonobo, Danny Howard and Pete Tong, with a slew of critically acclaimed releases leading to his selection for a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and Spotify’s RADAR programme. Kumar pulls influence from multiple cultural touchstones, from Northern soul to classic Bollywood, incorporating elements into his signature tapestry of analogue warmth and rough-edged sampling. By resolutely upholding this eclectic sonic architecture in his DJ sets, he has earned bookings at formidable festivals including Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Lost Village, Dialled In, Four Tet’s All-Dayer, and Field Day, as well as repeat appearances at revered venues such as The Warehouse Project and Printworks. After a successful debut run in North America last year, he returned to support Barry Can’t Swim in April this year. Anish kicked off this year by selling out his debut headline show at Peckham’s Carpet Shop in 30 minutes. He also teamed up with Armenian DJ Hagop Tchaparian for Kino, a two-part release engineered for the dancefloor, where dense rolling percussion meets the haunting, emotive drift of the Turkish tulum. The rest of the year will see Anish releasing a dual compendium of dancefloor-ready tracks, tried and tested through numerous appearances at clubs and festivals throughout the UK and internationally.

  • Quantreau

New York City · 12 bookings since Sep 2023

“His dynamic and diverse sets have captivated audiences for over a decade.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
His dynamic and diverse sets have captivated audiences for over a decade. He draws from early experiences in the underground community that once thrived in dusty warehouses and under-the-radar message boards to craft a style that moves seamlessly between deep and soulful house to ravey, broken beat and bass-heavy. Quantreau has made a name for himself in NYC with floor-melting performances, including an opening set for Psychemagik at Elsewhere's Zone One. He's played at vaunted venues, including Jupiter Disco, Mansions, TBA, Café Balearica, and on The Lot Radio with his Fortune Signal label-mates. With an expansive knowledge of underground dance music, Quantreau weaves sonic links between disparate styles to create genuinely unique sets. His selections reflect his 15 years as an observer, participator, and selector of underground dance music. Preferring not to be pigeonholed to a particular genre, he crafts sets to open up listeners to the new and unexpected. His infectious energy can draw even the most staunch trainspotters onto the floor. Quantreau is passionate about sharing the spotlight with other up-and-coming artists and fostering the next generation of electronic music talent. He's funneled that energy into Fortune Signal, the record label where he's a partner alongside D.D. Curry, DJ Fang, and K.mal. Starting in 2022, the imprint has five releases and counting from artists including DJ Burrito Boy, Akumen, Panooc, and Kyle Louis.

  • estro

“As a lifelong musician, Estro has always explored the visceral aspects of sound.”

    their own biography

    the whole biography
As a lifelong musician, Estro has always explored the visceral aspects of sound. From a young age, her interest in sonics manifested in a boundless desire for experimentation. With a background in jazz music as a trumpet player since childhood, Estro’s experiences with improvisation and performance on the stage found their way to the DJ booth. Her fervent, intense passion for expression and movement finds its way into textural, spine-tingling production and jacking, sweaty, sexy sessions on the dancefloor. Outspoken, driving, and deep, Estro's performances and sets often feel like a manifesto of sorts, rolling and driving tension to its limit and pushing the envelope for New York's musical landscape. Estro's musical explorations have led her to digging through the deep, rich history of techno & house, blending timeless, smashing deep cuts with some of the genre's newest, most novel offerings. Her philosophy of maintaining digging culture leads to an eclectic, potent, and deeply rooted sound, prepared to be pushed into a futuristic and forward-thinking direction. Serene, jazzy, atmospheric selections of deep house, minimal, and dub techno are intertwined with driving, thumping peak-hours techno & trance. Estro uses her ever-expanding knowledge of her selections to captivate the dancefloor and continue to expand the capabilities of sound. As the founder of Orchidance, her new event series and personal project, Estro seeks to take her explorations of dance music and its surrounding culture into a more intentional and inclusive space. She hopes to continue creating a space for serenity and self-discovery, with an eclectic and personal curation of artists and collaborators from her ever-expanding rolodex of talent local and abroad. In the coming years, Estro hopes to continue to expand the capabilities for Orchidance to be a place of rejuvenation, enrichment, and exploration for New York's music community.
