“While many DJs approach genre adventurously, few are as expansive and unique as CCL.”

While many DJs approach genre adventurously, few are as expansive and unique as CCL. With an incisive, technical and creative approach to mixing, and a ravenous appetite for music of all kinds, they can unite the unimaginable with a uniquely adaptable sense of dancefloor intuition. Drawing from experiences as a talent buyer, DIY festival organizer, and record collector with roots in Bristol and the DIY scenes of North America, CCL’s perspective draws from an affinity for fluidity and liminality – they weave together distinct narratives that open rhythmic wormholes between geographical regions, eras, and all genres and tempos. From their acclaimed club and festival sets, mixtapes, their liquidtime series, and their residency at Berlin institution Ohm, they showcase their unique take on sonic storytelling and otherworldly dancefloor intuition, uniting dance floors and chatrooms around the world. “A music nerd's DJ but also a DJ’s DJ”- Resident Advisor’s “Art of DJing”.Their RA profile lists 3024, Allergy Season, Fever AM, Planet Euphorique and 1 more.Recently at public records, Nowadays, Camp Kennybrook · often with Roza Terenzi, Vlada, Naone, none of them here that night

“Relaxer is the project of Daniel Martin-McCormick, fka Ital, member of Black Eyes, Cry and Gaze and co-founder of Dripping.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Relaxer is the project of Daniel Martin-McCormick, fka Ital, member of Black Eyes, Cry and Gaze and co-founder of Dripping. Rooted in the US punk/noise underground of the late '90s and early 2000s, Martin-McCormick's music embodies a sensual, visceral edge that reflects and extends that legacy. His hardware live sets, honed over a decade of tours, are exhilarating, white knuckle rides, while his DJ sets fluidly cross genres and eras with a cathartic sense of urgency. He's been a repeat performer at Berghain (where the Relaxer project made its live debut), De School, Unsound, Nowadays and many others. On his first five self-titled EPs and albums "Concealer" (Planet Mu), "Coconut Grove" (Avenue 66) and "Hedonic Fatigue" (Climate of Fear), his productions stretch out, weaving strands of wormhole techno, minimal, noise, UK hardcore continuum and fractured ambient into a rippling, mesmeric tapestry. More recent club-focused EPs "Licking" and "Candy" (Lovers Rock Recordings) sharpen the blade, amping up his music's animalistic snarl and erotic undertones. 2024's "Break" saw him working in drum n bass-techno hybrid form after a special live set was commissioned by NY dnb cult fav party Headznite. It was released by experimental fav 29 Speedway, with two remixes from DJ Marcelle. Following his composition studies with Morton Subotnick, Relaxer's music has also evolved a new modality: alongside his club works there have been concerts of long form durational works featuring spoken word and richly spatialized sound design. His debut performance in this new style was a standout at Sustain-Release Year Seven. These works were released in the Summer of 2022 as "Force Field: A Guide for the Perplexed" on Club Night Club. "In Softening Air," the follow up, is out on Lovers Rock Recordings. Behind the scenes, Martin-McCormick has been a consistent force shaping the US underground. He is the co-founder of Dripping camping festival and NY-based event series. He was a key member of Sustain-Release from its inception and co-director from 2017-2021, founded the labels Lovers Rock Recordings & Climate of Fear, was one of the first residents at Bossa Nova Civic Club. He currently holds a residencies at The Lot Radio and Dripping.Techno on 12, Ambient on 8, Abstract on 5 and Breakbeat on 2. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on 29 Speedway (1), Club Night Club (1) and Lovers Rock (1); their RA profile also lists Workshop, Planet Mu, Thrill Jockey, 100% Silk and 4 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Mansions, Earthly Delights, Nowadays · often with Elena Colombi, MARBLE RYE, Carpet (F.L.H.P), none of them here that night

“Takahide Higuchi, better known as 食品まつり(Shokuhin Matsuri) a.k.a foodman, creates music that defies categorisations – and is one of the few artists that actually fit this overused description.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Takahide Higuchi, better known as 食品まつり(Shokuhin Matsuri) a.k.a foodman, creates music that defies categorisations – and is one of the few artists that actually fit this overused description. There are traces of almost every electronic music genre, from juke, footwork, ambient, house, techno, to noise, but those elements are dissected and morphed together then driven to extreme without giving you a second to come up with a definitive genre. The noisy technicolour of these borderline versatile or schizophrenic collages is borne out of his experiments (or accidents) and has titillated, confused, and enchanted music obsessives far and wide. After releasing his debut album from NY/OH experimental label Orange Milk, his music has been released from international labels including Diplo's Mad Decent and its offshoot Good Enuff. His ever-evolving and mutating musical vocabulary draws from every kind of music he stumbles across, from Chicago footwork to Okinawan folk music of his roots, ambient to J-pop, Talvin Singh's Indian classical music/drum 'n' bass fusion to classic video game soundtracks, then twists them all with his playful psychedelia. This extends to his remixes and DJ mixes, including his monthly residency at NTS radio and i-D magazine's "i-DJ" guest mix, which was picked up on Pitchfork's "10 Best DJ Mixes of March 2017" list. Since playing his first show outside of Japan in mid 2016, he has appeared on Boiler Room, Low End Theory, and Unsound just to name a few, as well as headline shows across the US and Europe. In July 2022, the album "Yasuragi land" was released on Hyperdub. The album was voted best of the year by various national and international media, including Pitchfork's "The Best Electronic Music of 2021".Their RA profile lists Hyperdub, Mad Decent, Digitalis Recordings, Unknown to the Unknown and 5 more.Last at public records in May · often with Isabella Koen, Primo, Doula, none of them here that night
“"Nono Gigsta has the unsettling habit of making everything work.”
their own biography
the whole biography
"Nono Gigsta has the unsettling habit of making everything work. Genres that shouldn’t coexist do, tempos slip without warning, and basslines arrive exactly when your internal compass has already given up. Widely described as the DJs’ favorite DJ, their selections remain stubbornly playful, precise, and allergic to formulas. Their 2024 Freerotation set sums it up neatly: fantasy-grade atmospherics dissolving into dancing mania, freakish jazz and pop samples smuggled in for mischief, and a glitched palette from around the world folded into an unbridled bass logic that refuses to sit still, slipping between half-time drag, D’n’B pressure, acid-licked steppers and dubwise afterglow. Since 2019, they have declined air travel in favour of trains, boats and time itself, including a transatlantic sailboat crossing followed by a public-transport-only tour of North America. Offline by design and largely faceless online, they channel their surplus energy into research-heavy radio shows, self-run parties, listening retreats and a quietly devoted newsletter chronicling scenes, books and slow movement." https://www.instagram.com/p/DV_rLVmjdWc/Last at Nowadays in Jun · often with WHEEL OF FORTUNE, Marylou, Augusto Taito, none of them here that night

the whole biography
SPF 50’s music weaves a kaleidoscopic tapestry of lush atmospherics, precise, percussive momentum and skittish euphoria. With a keen sense for narration, his music draws on deeper strains of techno, at times veering into syncopated bass pressure, to sculpt a hypnotic sonic world to immerse oneself in. His live set delves into deep psychedelia, creating raw moments on the dancefloor while never losing sight of the playful and blissed out. Originally from Sweden but living in Brooklyn, he is a resident of underground party Bob & Shirley. His EP ‘Ett Inre Rum’ comes out on Bliss Point in September 2026 and takes further aim on the eyes-closed inward journey, fueled by hypnotic repetition and an ear for spatial, textured sound design.Techno on 5, Acid on 4, House on 4 and Deep House on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Bliss Point (1), Dzungla (1) and Fixed Rhythms (1); their RA profile also lists Acacia Baila. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Honey's, public records, Mansions · often with Albert_, Fernelly, G-Style, none of them here that night
