Heavily influenced by innovators such as Throbbing Gristle and Floorplan, their productions encapsulated sounds that were inspired by the UK and Detroit, and were complimented with live spoken word. After moving to Berlin in 2016, they transitioned from performance art to DJing, where their sets on HÖR facilitated their breakthrough as a DJ. Having drawn inspiration from early industrial and techno pioneers, x3butterfly’s sets retain a raw and ominous quality, with a club twist. Prioritizing the eclectic, they often aim to take listeners on a story-telling journey while simultaneously keeping them on the dance floor. Their sets combine jungle, drum and bass, R&B, dubstep, techno, and other world sounds at 140-160 BPM. x3butterfly has played in various clubs in Mexico, Germany, Denmark, Greece, as well as a multitude of cities in the US. They have quickly become a rising NYC star, DJing notorious NYC venues such as Bossa Nova, Mood Ring, and Nowadays. LISAS is a DJ emerging from the New York techno scene whose expertise spans a multitude of roles. From working behind the scenes as a sound engineer in recording studios on critically acclaimed albums, performing in the band The Rapture, to producing music for fashion shows; all while repairing vintage analog synthesizers and outboard gear- her journey is diverse and captivating. Her transition to DJing was an evolution grounded in her extensive knowledge of sound, which illuminates her live sets and mixes with sharp selections that provide a driving and genre-defying ride always innately tailored to the energy of the audience. Her unique style she refers to as “post-apocalyptic arpeggiators meet mermaid synthesis” has earned her a coveted spot as resident of Le Bain in New York City.
