"It's D's World, we're just living in it" - Guy reading my iPhone notes on the M Train Longtime dancefloor staple Dan Creahan has been a quiet but vital energy in New York's thriving late-night scene, promoting and running door as energetically as he throws down on the floor. As a producer, he's often sought to explore the range around the center of the floor, working behind a number of pen names that have settled in recent years around around Alien D, a coy reworking of his first name, and the most direct outlet for his productions. Having previously released tapes with Mind Dynamics, a driving, frenetic project that pushed noise sensibilities and an improv-first focus on dance music stylings, Creahan worked through a range of concepts and monikers before releasing his first record as Alien D in 2018. Building sonic worlds around shared concepts and studio workflows, he rarely sits in one place for too long, exploring ever-shifting sonic palettes that have branched out from his initial formula of loose break tracks, tinged with elements of house and dub and into a range of sources, from spaced-out B12 tributes to tracks nodding towards the heyday of West Coast rave and downtempo. Bringing the same energy he's honed as a label head and promoter to his studio practice, the horizon looks bright for this Alien, gleaming out into the depths of space, where new worlds await <3House on 9, Techno on 9, Downtempo on 6 and Experimental on 4. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Kulture Galerie (2), Honey Trap (1) and Theory Therapy (1); their RA profile also lists Sweat Equity NYC and Twin System. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Good Room, Rakit Club, Market Hotel · often with Yibing, Kat Offline, Kfeelz, none of them here that night

Best known for his Level parties, Andrew Devlin has been booking some of the city's best house, techno, and hip-hop DJs for almost 10 years. His DJ sets reflect the party's vibe--equally focused on the party people and the record heads, serving up cutting-edge music with no pretense. A typical Devlin DJ set can span NY deep house, psychedelic minimal, UK bass music, and an odd Drake track. Many DJs claim to have range, but few blend Call Super and Barry White at peak time.Recently at Le Bain, Mansions, public records · often with Yibing, Kfeelz, SPF 50, none of them here that night

California born, Kyiv educated, now based in NYC. DJ S has been throwing parties and DJing for a decade. S's first DJ set was a nostalgic anarcho punk eulogy for a DIY event. S cut his teeth in San Francisco bars playing balkan brass music, then moved to Kyiv and did the same with hip-hop before falling in love with dance music at a rave. S now heads two Brooklyn parties, Hypnotic Spa, a deep listening event, and Headznite, a drum and bass party for chairty. S is the booker of Mansions in Ridgewood, a wine bar, club & fog room. S makes music under the moniker Mr. Scorpion 2000. S's first name is Sean.Recently at Mansions, Nowadays, The Meadows · often with Show, YANNICK WEINECK, Max Sprauer, none of them here that night

Brooklyn-based DJ by way of the Midwest, tylerfromwhere never lets his roots stray far from the dance floor. After years of supporting friends as a host and partygoer on NYC’s nightlife circuit, his journey led him behind the decks at some of the city’s hot spots, including Mansions, the Lot Radio, Jupiter Disco, Le Bain, and Elsewhere. The primary objective in his musical journey is diving deeper into the genres that shaped the soundscape of his youth: house, R&B, disco, and the dance music he discovered from digging through his mom's trove of cassette tapes. He’s proven his versatility with regular bookings ranging from the upscale chic of Peoples and W Hotel, the wild energy of Wiggle Room and Cafe Balearica's basement club, and local haunts like Casanara in Bedstuy. Tyler loves to move a room, but he's rooted in being a student of the craft with an ear tuned to the groove. This same energy fuels Gruv Theory, his recently launched newsletter, radio show, and party series which serves as a creative exploration of his “here, there, and where.” And when he’s not in the booth, he’s back out with the crowd — reminding us all that there’s no place like the dance floor.Recently at Le Bain, Ra-Ra Rhino, Jupiter Disco · often with gabby cocco, Extra Meesh, Dee Diggs, none of them here that night
