theoretic is Jersey-raised, Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, educator, & event curator entrenched in the beating heart of Brooklyn's underground music scene. Their sonic craft spans a fusion of House, Techno, Disco, NY Garage, Soul, & Black club music without limits, across borders. Whether spinning via digital waveforms, or from their vast record collection, their style is a symphonic medley that compels even the most restrained feet to move. theoretic currently holds residencies at beloved club ANIMAL, and a monthly radio show at Hi-Note Radio. They created the long-standing party series "House Anatomy" at Jupiter Disco for their former residency, and is now the creator & curator of an online DJ interview series "SCRIMMAGE." They've played for crowds at acclaimed venues such as Elsewhere, Eavesdrop, Le Bain, Good Room, Outer Heaven, Mood Ring, Nowadays, Earthly Delights, Cafe Erzulie, Soho House, & beyond. theoretic has also spread their talents internationally; they've contributed an all-vinyl set for the series My Analog Journal, played for the Hamburg festival Kampnagel, and shared decks with legends from A Guy Called Gerald, to Stacey "Hotwaxx" Hale. In addition, theoretic's music has been featured on acclaimed compilations, namely, "IYKYK" via the Brooklyn label Air Texture, that DJ Mag ranked as one of their "best compilations of 2024" their song mentioned as "the best tracks are the ones that feel like they are twisting genres inside out. On theoretic’s ‘Lucky LaWanda’, they take the icy melody of 8-bit grime and lay it over funky, swung house drum programming." They've also released on Madrid-based label, Others to the Front's first compilation, and in March of 2025, they released their first EP, Eponymous EP. To experience theoretic's fearlessly creative attitude, spend time inside their encyclopedic, yet unpretentious mixes; they've been featured on The Lot Radio, Balamii Radio, Newtown Radio, Lower Grand Radio, Playground Radio, & more. Their sonic odyssey breaks norms & melds genres; their goal is to be timeless.Their RA profile lists Air Texture and Others To The Front.Recently at SILO, Gabriela, Jupiter Disco · often with Tre D'Ambrocia, VARSHA, PUFF, none of them here that night
“Shaped by years of going to the source—from NYC, Chicago and Detroit to Tokyo and other cities across Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia—immersing himself in underground scenes, learning directly from key figures and local communities, and performing on storied dance floors along the way, he has developed an authentic voice as a multidisciplinary artist on and off the floor.”

Shaped by years of going to the source—from NYC, Chicago and Detroit to Tokyo and other cities across Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia—immersing himself in underground scenes, learning directly from key figures and local communities, and performing on storied dance floors along the way, he has developed an authentic voice as a multidisciplinary artist on and off the floor. As a DJ, he crafts sets that are heavily informed by his background as a dancer: playful and daring, shifting in rhythm and pace across genres while being deeply rooted in queer lineages of house and club culture. An active member of the ballroom, whacking and house dance scenes, he draws on years of shared practice to give their movements and stories space at the center of the night, where they are lived rather than referenced. During his years in Copenhagen, he launched SPECTRA, a queer- and dance-centered club night and residency, and co-founded UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE, a sober dance and club initiative—projects that create spaces for genuine connection, joy and self-expression, keeping faith with the original promise of the dance floor. ~ REFERENCES [USA] New York City, NY ~ Good Room · Le Bain · Bossa Nova · Jupiter Disco · The Lot Radio Detroit, MI ~ Movement · Temple Bar · Underground Music Academy Chicago, IL ~ Smart Bar · Arbella [EUROPE] Berlin, DE ~ Sisyphos · Fusion Festival · Multisex · Renate · Refuge Worldwide Hamburg, DE ~ Queer Pool · Südpol Cologne, DE ~ Fi · Odonien · Zugvøgel Festival Munich, DE ~ Charlie Glasgow, UK ~ Stereo Edinburgh, UK ~ Sneaky Pete’s Copenhagen, DK ~ Jolene · Den Anden Side · Culture Box [ASIA] Tokyo / Osaka, JP ~ Mitsuki · Bridge · Aoyama Tunnel · Oath · Bonobo Seoul / Busan / Daegu, SK ~ Seoul Community Radio · Bolero · Output · OST Bangkok, TH ~ Safe Room Ho Chi Minh City, VN ~ The Lighthouse Manila, PH ~ XX XX · Circus 2020 FestivalTheir RA profile lists LIKE Recordings and Miura Records.Recently at Jupiter Disco, Black Flamingo, Good Room · often with materia hache, Triqi, elliephunk, none of them here that night
