the whole biography
Not to mention being co- founder of the famed Robots parties and amusing us weekly as Robot Radio's alluring and witty host. Within the world of electronic music everyone has a tale about our friend Bill Patrick. Some funny, some sad, some tragic, most shady, but at the end of each story or any encounter with this demi god you're left wanting more. In 2008, this mythical creature, who by chance was reborn a man, relocated to Berlin. Why? Few know. Some say it was in search of gold, some suggest it was out of self-loathing, those in his inner circle say it was to be closer to them. He says it was to challenge the European state of mind and how sexually active they, as a people, can become. In any event all legend and lore were left behind. So where has that left this man, this nu-romantic? I'll tell you, striving to be more. It doesn't matter that the only places he now plays are festivals like Sunwaves in Romania, Outline Festival in Moscow or highly respected clubs like Closer Kiev, Robert Johnson and Concrete in Paris. After a much talked about 31 hour set at Sunwaves Festival in 2016, Bill and his partner in crime, tINI, have teamed up as Rolls “N” Do and now find themselves thrust into a whirlwind of high profile gigs. Currently touring the globe and vocally enlightening the Universe, Bill still finds time to keep his Instagram up to date and send out wildly entertaining content across all platforms. Not to mention, producing a monthly radio show, Chaotic Neutral, on OpenLab Radio and curating playlists for boutique hotels such as Hotels Costes in Paris, Baba Beach Club in Thailand and Guldsmeden Hotel in Berlin. But he wants to step out of his box and come to you, to educate the minds of the world with his deep, psychedelic take on contemporary dance music. - Words by Seth TroxlerRecently at Drom, Locust Grove, H0L0 · often with Greg Paulus, Gui Machado, DJ Healthy, none of them here that night

“Fred P, also known as Black Jazz Consortium, is a pivotal figure in the deep house and electronic music landscape.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Fred P, also known as Black Jazz Consortium, is a pivotal figure in the deep house and electronic music landscape. With over two decades of sonic exploration, his music transcends the dance floor, serving as both a personal and collective journey into introspection and transformation. Rooted in spirituality, authenticity, and innovation, Fred’s sound is a conduit for emotional resonance—a universal language designed to uplift and inspire. Born and raised in New York City, Fred’s formative years were shaped by the city’s vibrant underground scene, where the legacies of Larry Heard, Frankie Knuckles, and Strictly Rhythm’s golden era left an indelible mark. However, his artistry extends far beyond his influences. "My service is to the music, and the music is for the people," Fred once said—a testament to his ethos of creating with purpose and intention. His prolific catalog, including standout releases like States of Bliss, 6AM, and the Rhythms from the Road series, showcases his fearless blend of ambient textures, jazz inflections, and hypnotic house grooves. Through his labels—Soul People Music, Private Society, and the newly launched Collective Resource—Fred has cultivated spaces for sonic experimentation, offering everything from secret DJ weapons to deeply meditative compositions. Fred’s DJ sets are immersive experiences, known for their seamless storytelling and ability to guide dancers through reflective, soul-stirring territories. Whether performing at institutions like Panorama Bar, Tresor, or in intimate spaces around the world, he crafts atmospheres where music becomes a transformative force. His commitment to evolution is equally evident in projects like his long-form work Counterpoise, his subscriber-focused releases on Private Society, and the forthcoming live Black Jazz Consortium trio, blending electronics with organic instrumentation. After relocating to Berlin in 2012 and navigating the solitude of the pandemic, Fred found renewed clarity, deepening his connection to music and community. His post-lockdown work reflects this growth—raw, heartfelt, and infused with the wisdom of lived experience. Beyond the decks and the studio, his e-book Pathways To Sonic Alchemy delves into the philosophy behind his craft, offering insights into sound as both art and a tool for self-discovery. Fred P continues to stand as a beacon of integrity in electronic music—an artist whose sound is as timeless as it is transformative.Their RA profile lists fabric Records, Renaissance, NRK Music, Get Physical Music and 6 more.Recently at Jolene Sound Room Brooklyn, Nowadays · often with Lakuti, Morgan, Marie Lung, none of them here that night

To introduce Omar would be to open a box of postcards and talk about a collection of places and people essential to the creation of his sound as a DJ. From his native Panama to his roots in Uruguay and Berlin, Omar's musical ethos has been shaped through diverse landscapes and human connection, an identity that has been complemented by the artists who've made their mark on him-hometown heroes Bruno Gervais, Koolt and uruguayan export Nicolas Lutz. Eschewing categories and the kind of words overabundant in today's scene, DJ prefers to let his sets vinyl-only journeys that span from techno to electro and the deeper manifestations of house and are aimed at the listener's pleasure-speak for themselves.Their RA profile lists Cabaret Recordings, Time Passages, Sur, Undersound Recordings and 1 more.Recently at Elsewhere, 99 Scott Ave, SILO · often with Maddylane, DJ Moma, Curly Nez, none of them here that night
“„The craze about the music...“ ...the man called Prosumer is besotted with it.”

„The craze about the music...“ ...the man called Prosumer is besotted with it. Since Achim Brandenburg heartily grabbed the microphone under this moniker in 2005 for Frankfurt’s then undisputed Label Playhouse, he showed that lasciviousness, a fever for Chicago’s Jack flavour and consciousness of tradition aren’t necessarily bound to a time and a place. Vision, passion and knowledge make Prosumer a guardian of house music history and one of the formative artists, influential DJs and important producers of our days. While deriving his name from Alvin Toffler’s techno sci-fi-bible The Third Wave (producing and consuming at the same time), Prosumer lives up to his name. With more than a decade of Hard-Wax-Record-Store-enculturation on the clock (first in Saarbrucken, then Berlin), he spent countless nights in clubs, days looking for music and years refining his art and becoming in line with the “big three”. This is not a reference to Detroit’s car companies, but the city’s musical heritage that – together with the Big Apple and the Windy city – laid the foundation for techno and house builds with the Big Apple and the Windy City. Prosumer oscillates between these poles. That holds true for his productions, which are affected by references and historical vertexes, but never feel to be out of time or place. An album with Murat Tepeli and collaborations with Tama Sumo expand his discography for labels like the aforementioned Playhouse, Running Back or Swayzak’s 240 Volts. On the other hand – and that might be far more important – this is exemplary for his DJ work since the mid-nineties. Prosumer connects the tracks and songs of this music’s golden age with the worthwhile pieces and developments of today. Accordingly to that special feeling which is so hard to couch, he gets engaged in it from tip to toe – and so does his audience. Proved by his mission as one of the residents in Berlin’s influential club institution, on his official mix CD for that place that describes his spectrum of sound perfectly and by this certain magic that travels with and in him everywhere. „Through his body and through his veins...“Their RA profile lists Simple Records, Playhouse, Diamonds & Pearls, Ostgut Ton and 2 more.Last at BASEMENT in Jul · often with Chris Cruse, Grace Sands, Michael Serafini, none of them here that night

Born of Indian and American heritage, Solana's upbringing was steeped in the rich tapestry of classical and world music, courtesy of her familial influences. She studied piano, flute, and voice, yet felt constrained by their limitations in expressing the kaleidoscope within her soul. During her teenage years, she was exposed to commercial trance anthems and some random techno sets from older friends, but it wasn't until she encountered the transcendent realms of Fabric, the sonic landscapes of Ricardo Villalobos, Perlon, James Holden, and other high-quality artists including the raw energy of Detroit and Chicago that her true musical odyssey began. It was a transformative year-long backpacking odyssey through Southeast Asia that set Solana on her path. Amidst the majestic Austrian Alps, she found herself amidst a vibrant community of UK ravers, immersed in the pulsating heartbeat of dance music culture. For fourteen years, Solana meticulously curated her sonic palette collecting records, drawing inspiration from deep house to dub techno, microhouse to drum 'n bass. Her journey was one of collector to selector, as she danced through legendary venues like Berghain, Club Der Visionaere, Robert Johnson, and other hallowed spaces. Yet, it's in the present moment that Solana finds her true calling. In 2023, she founded AIRPLANE MODE, a label and event series dedicated to fostering immersive experiences that transcend time and space. AIRPLANE MODE isn't just about the music; it's a movement, a philosophy urging all to embrace the present and savor each fleeting moment. Solana's DJ sets are a testament to her eclectic tastes and boundless creativity, weaving together diverse genres and rhythms. She has united dancers around the globe, playing at events hosted by Resolute, Robot Heart, Apollo Studio, Elegantly Wasted (Sofia), Meadows in the Mountains festival (Bulgaria), Black Rhino Radio (Bucharest), Golden Record, and H0L0. Join Solana on her journey as she spreads sunshine and joy through the power of music. With each beat, she invites you to embrace the now, to lose yourself in the moment, and to experience the magic of AIRPLANE MODE.Recently at Apollo Studio, Earthly Delights, H0L0 · often with Greg Paulus, Zeina, Tomas Station, none of them here that night
