GIDEÖN (HOMO-CENTRIC RECORDS / NYC DOWNLOW / ADONIS / R3 SOUNDSYSTEM / BLOCK9) GIDEÖN has a background in music spanning 30 years. In addition to his practice as a recording artist, stage designer and curator, he is a touring DJ and is an avid collector of vinyl. Since his first set of turntables in 1990, GIDEÖN has devoted his life to collecting vinyl from the US, Jamaica, Latin America, Africa, and the UK. He specialises in Northern Soul, Latin, Reggae, Gospel, and Disco rarities. House Music, above all, is his first and greatest love. He has a degree in Music with Visual Practice (BA Hons) and is currently guest Creative Director of Music for London Borough of Culture 2022. GIDEÖN co-founded, co-created and curates Block9’s festival nightlife institutions NYC Downlow, Genosys, Maceo’s and IICON and is also resident and co-booker at London’s hottest queer club night Adonis. As a radio DJ, GIDEÖN has been actively involved in broadcasting for many years now. After cutting his teeth on London’s pirate stations in the late nineties, he has hosted a weekly show on London’s Soho Radio for 3 years. He is a frequent guest on London’s Rinse FM and has recently contributed to BBC Radio One, NTS and BBC 6 Music. GIDEÖN has been very involved in political activism over the years and is now increasingly focussed on organising hybrid cultural-political events partnering music and protest, often under the banner of R3 Soundsystem. Together with Love Music Hate Racism, GIDEÖN has organised major sound system interventions on many of the Stop Brexit and Stop Trump and Anti-Fascism protests. He is actively involved with fundraising for several LGBTQ+, human rights and social justice organisations including AllOut, Prepster, Human Dignity Trust and Refugee Community Kitchen. Gideon sits on the advisory committee of The Right to Dance, part of War Child’s NGO Network. R3 Soundsystem is a consortium of DJs, musicians, producers, record labels, festivals, nightclubs, sound systems, activists, and cultural organisations, all united by love of music and the rejection of right-wing nationalist values. R3’s three Rs stand for RESIST / REJECT / REVOLT. https://www.instagram.com/gideon_dj_official/Their RA profile lists HOMO-CENTRIC RECORDS.Recently at Paragon, BASEMENT, public records · often with Yvonne Turner, Victor Calderone, S4M23, none of them here that night
“Jacob Meehan is a Chicago-raised, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and cultural curator whose sound blends the soulful groove of American house with the untamed edge of Berlin.”

Jacob Meehan is a Chicago-raised, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and cultural curator whose sound blends the soulful groove of American house with the untamed edge of Berlin. Rooted in Chicago’s legacy, from WLUW 88.7FM to Gramaphone Records to Smart Bar, his style channels the lessons of Derrick Carter, Frankie Knuckles, and Michael Serafini into playful sets that move between house, techno, disco, and ambient. Since relocating to Berlin in 2016, Meehan has become a vital figure in the city’s queer nightlife as co-curator of Buttons and WHOLE Festival, shaping spaces where curiosity and community collide. Alongside the dance floor, he explores ambient music as a resident at KWIA listening bar and through yoga nidra sessions that expand his relationship with sound into the wellness realm. Meehan also curates the ambient stage at WHOLE. His productions resonate eclectic energy: “Hier” (Major Records) introduced his voice as a producer, while “Old Reliable” — features archival gay porn audio from Chicago’s Bijou Theater — landed on a Nervous Records compilation curated by The Carry Nation. Recent studio work includes a collaboration with NYC’s Physical Therapy, with more releases around the corner. This autumn and winter, Meehan is deep in the studio, working on a wave of new music set to define his next chapter. Jacob has performed worldwide at clubs and festivals such as Panorama Bar (Berlin), Tresor (Berlin), Cocktail d’Amore (Berlin), Adonis (London), Basement (NYC), The Bunker (NYC), Smart Bar (Chicago), Honcho Campout (USA), Listen Festival (Brussels), Contact (Tokyo), Savage (Hanoi), Equation Festival (Vietnam) and Honey Soundsystem (SF).Their RA profile lists Nervous Records, Twirl, Major Records and Trax Only.Recently at BASEMENT, 99 Scott Ave · often with Juliana Huxtable, CEM, Shaun J. “Nita is a noted member of the legendary House of Aviance.”

Nita is a noted member of the legendary House of Aviance. She started DJing around the turn of the millennium and was a resident at the infamous Mr. Black and Westgay, both touchstones for queer artistry and culture in downtown nightlife of the early 2000's. Will has deep roots in NYC club culture, having worked at The Loft and collaborated closely with David Mancuso, holding residencies at many of the downtown New York clubs over the years including The Limelight, Life and Vandam. After dividing his time between NYC and Paris, working on music with fashion houses such as Issey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood and Yves Saint Laurent, Will returned to DJing dance floors when he co-created SPANK with partners Sean B & Jason Roe. What started as a basement dance party evolved into a roving art-based warehouse party along with a namesake zine. SPANK began to work closely with Horse Meat Disco and the close relationship with that crew has extended in various forms through the years into the present. Currently, Nita and Will perform globally as both individual DJs and, more often, as a duo --they are most recognized for epic extended B2B sets and their wildly successful monthly queer party (also known as The Carry Nation) at Brooklyn's Good Room. Their range is wide and exciting, and in the New York tradition they effortlessly flow through genres and time periods while keeping a modern edge. Since the inception of The Carry Nation, the duo has toured the world extensively including Glastonbury’s Block 9 and Berlin’s Berghain/Panorama Bar among many others. They also have a residency at Ladyfag's flagship monthly Battle Hymn. As producers, their credits include releases and remixes on Get Up Recordings, Classic Music Company, TRIBAL, Nervous, TRAX, Batty Bass, TWIRL, W&O Street Tracks and more. Their latest venture is Major Records, an imprint they co-founded with Justin Cudmore to showcase their Majorettes collaboration with releases that are setting dancefloors alight with a fresh but classic house vibe that stays rooted in the excitement of New York’s history and underground.House on 28, Tech House on 7, Techno on 4 and Deep House on 5. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Nervous Records (2) and Cómeme (1); their RA profile also lists Batty Bass Records, HNYTRX, Twirl, Good Company Records and 1 more. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at public records, Coney Island Art Walls, Good Room · often with Kim Anh, Mike Servito, S'aint Panic, none of them here that night
