Miami-bred duo INVT are known for their sound system-focused music, blending club genres with dub influences, swung rhythms, and Latin-rooted percussion. Their catalog spans over 200 tracks, alongside live hardware performances and DJ sets at institutions including DC-10 (Circoloco), Fabric, Panorama Bar, Blitz, Club Space, Nowadays and Draaimolen, with notable b2bs with acts like Skream, Skee Mask, Sammy Virji, Bradley Zero and DJ Python. Emerging independently during the pandemic, INVT built momentum through a prolific run of self-released music on Bandcamp, quickly earning support from some of the most influential DJs in the world. Sustaining that momentum through consistent releases, the duo became recognized for a high-volume yet high-quality output. All aspects of the project are developed in house by the pair. They write, produce, mix, and master their own music, while also designing the visual side of the project themselves through clothing collections, art exhibits, videos, and album artwork. Heavily influenced by innovators such as Throbbing Gristle and Floorplan, their productions encapsulated sounds that were inspired by the UK and Detroit, and were complimented with live spoken word. After moving to Berlin in 2016, they transitioned from performance art to DJing, where their sets on HÖR facilitated their breakthrough as a DJ. Having drawn inspiration from early industrial and techno pioneers, x3butterfly’s sets retain a raw and ominous quality, with a club twist. Prioritizing the eclectic, they often aim to take listeners on a story-telling journey while simultaneously keeping them on the dance floor. Their sets combine jungle, drum and bass, R&B, dubstep, techno, and other world sounds at 140-160 BPM. x3butterfly has played in various clubs in Mexico, Germany, Denmark, Greece, as well as a multitude of cities in the US. They have quickly become a rising NYC star, DJing notorious NYC venues such as Bossa Nova, Mood Ring, and Nowadays. Christian acquired his love of electronic while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist. After some time as a free agent, Christian’s sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he has entranced audiences with thoughtful, layered DJ sets. In 2021 he became a resident of Beachouse in Ibiza, where he provides the soundtrack for sunny days on Playa D’en Bossa. He has also recently joined the All Day I Dream roster, having contributed multiple videos to the All Day I Stream series, as well as being booked to play All Day I Dream events at Space Nightclub in Miami, Cova Santa in Ibiza, and the All Day I Dream festival in California. His music blends a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between. Life came full circle with the brand that helped launch him; Christian currently manages the Bespoke Musik record label and runs the brand with founder and friend, Rocky Raminceanu. The second Bespoke label release was a collaborative side project with German All Day I Dream artist, Powel. The two met in Brooklyn whilst sharing the lineup for Christian’s first Bespoke residency, marking the start of their musical partnership and Christan’s foray into musical production.
