their own biography
the whole biography
Akanbi is heading a new generation of dedicated ravers in New York City. Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, with limited access to the internet but a huge thirst for new music, Akanbi moved to NYC in 2010 and immersed himself head on into every corner of dance music, as a serious dancer and, eventually, a DJ and rave activator. He’s cultivated his unique style of DJing that delivers an intentional blend of freak-out boogie music, sensual rollers, whip-crack bangers, insistent percussion, afrobeat goodness, deep thumping low frequencies & slow-burning experimental descents. In 2014, he started New York City's GROOVY GROOVY party - a judgment-free atmosphere for wild dance floors, spiritual, mental & physical rejuvenation, radical politics, and a dose of undeniably rocking talent. Akanbi has made an impression with visionary sets across the globe at select spaces like Guggenheim Museum, Sustain Release, Nowadays, Dekmantel, Horst, OIL Club Shanghai, WWW Tokyo, Berghain/Panorama Bar, Corsica Studios, Primavera Sound Barcelona et al.Recently at Nowadays, Bossa Nova Civic Club, public records · often with /KATA/, The Large, Ayanna Heaven, none of them here that night

“While many DJs approach genre adventurously, few are as expansive and unique as CCL.”
their own biography
the whole biography
While many DJs approach genre adventurously, few are as expansive and unique as CCL. With an incisive, technical and creative approach to mixing, and a ravenous appetite for music of all kinds, they can unite the unimaginable with a uniquely adaptable sense of dancefloor intuition. Drawing from experiences as a talent buyer, DIY festival organizer, and record collector with roots in Bristol and the DIY scenes of North America, CCL’s perspective draws from an affinity for fluidity and liminality – they weave together distinct narratives that open rhythmic wormholes between geographical regions, eras, and all genres and tempos. “Steeped in Miami’s B-boy culture, it was classic electro & Miami bass that conceived Danny Daze's love for the experimental Dutch electro & Detroit Techno scenes of the 90’s.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Steeped in Miami’s B-boy culture, it was classic electro & Miami bass that conceived Danny Daze's love for the experimental Dutch electro & Detroit Techno scenes of the 90’s. Labels like Schematic in Miami, Interdimensional Transmissions from Detroit & Viewlexx out of The Hague set the foundation for Daze. Daniel Gomez adopted his Daze moniker early on at his mother’s suggestion. Practicing on a set-up she bought him, Daze was spinning at weddings by age 14, funneling his earnings into vinyl to play raves on the side. That eventually led to producing his first tracks in 2004 on a cracked version of Fruity Loops and later that year, he jumpstarted a electro / techno white label called Omniamm. Daze’s risk-taking & punk approach is at the core of everything he does and it’s a big part of the ethos of his current label, Omnidisc. "We're not searching for chart topping hits. We’re more interested in curating a catalog of music you’ll remember when you walk out the door. We seek out tracks that are as raw as possible & welcome imperfections. We love the charm of an unpolished record”, says Daze. It’s also this freeform & experimental approach together with an element of surprise that sets him apart from the pack as both a DJ & Producer. As a DJ, he prefers to express his versatility across long sets. He is known to cut & weave from Electro to Techno into Italo Disco, into a record by Yazoo deliberately intended to provoke a reaction. “I once played a Paula Abdul record at Berghain… basically, it’s like it or leave it,” says Daze. As a producer, his output ranges from releases on Kompakt’s Speicher series, to remixes on Phantasy, Comeme, Monkeytown & more… but he also reaches far beyond techno & has created original runway soundtracks for award winning American streetwear designer John Elliott & the Australian brand Song for the Mute. "I’m obsessed with the detailed manipulation of audio. It’s at the core of how I make music & I constantly feel the need to involve myself with projects that challenge & allow me to think out of the box... whether it’s creating a single recognizable noise for the new MacBook, or an advert for a fashion campaign blending original music with sound design,” says Daze. Danny Daze’s radical approach to preserving music’s integrity while breaking its boundaries may seem volatile, but it’s not random. “I’ve always gone against the grain & it’s important for everything I do to feel authentic. There isn't much difference between Daniel Gomez and Danny Daze.” BOOKINGS: For EU bookings please contact: ned@lb-agency.net & chris@lb-agency.net For US and SA bookings please contact: ryan@liasonartists.com For Australia bookings please contact: Wade@FinelyTuned.com.au For press and management enquiries please contact: mgmt@omnidisc.coTheir RA profile lists Kompakt, Cómeme, Phantasy Sound, Omnidisc and 1 more.Recently at H0L0, Brooklyn Mirage, Nowadays · often with David Berrie, Connor Wrong, Kurilo, none of them here that night

Certifiably one of the most revered underground DJs of the Netherlands, Job Veerman, better known as Identified Patient, has made a name for himself as an otherworldly storyteller. His leftfield mixes take the listener on a white-knuckle ride of twists and turns, with no genre, tempo, or mood off-limits. The Amsterdam-based artist made his ascension with some of Rotterdam’s finest imprints, all the while filling dance floors across the country and throughout Europe. His style fuses raw aesthetics with unrivaled, relentless energy which he translates into his productions as fluidly as his DJ sets. With a trademark sound that drifts between the experimental sides of techno, electro, acid, dub, and jungle, it was not long before his music gained the attention of Rotterdam-based labels. Hitting Common Thread in 2016 with The Female Medical College of Pennsylvania and then Pinkman in 2017 with a string of releases, and later releasing his Split EP on London’s Brokntoys. These outlets would become the platforms for his early releases which were recognized as instant hits in several charts and clubs throughout Europe and beyond. In 2020 he released his Nerve Deposit EP as part of Dekmantel’s UFO Series. This year he will return to Dekmantel’s imprint, this time with his debut album. Not only this, but he is busy collaborating with Gamma Intel on an EP, also due to hit the airwaves this year. Besides his sensually severe, irreverent productions, Identified Patient has put himself on the map with his high-energy DJ sets, brimming with tension that spills over into eclectic and diverse styles. Despite his rapid transitions his focus never diverges from the quality of his selections. He has become a vital presence at Dekmantel events and was a regular at the Amsterdam institution, De School, firmly asserting his place in the Dutch electronic scene. Identified Patient shows no sign of taking his foot off the gas, with a compelling list of forthcoming releases and an extensive touring schedule. Nick León’s dystopian club music samples the sounds of Florida’s diverse ecosystem, but his style has varied fearlessly along the way. Finding his way into the rap world at a young age, he collaborated with some of the biggest underground rappers in South Florida. He also gravitated early towards the Latin sounds coming out of Puerto Rico and Colombia, and as a self-taught producer and DJ in Miami, he felt compelled to shift his focus to his own work. After pivoting towards textural elements and buried melodies, Nick released a handful of projects, one of them being his Aguacero EP under Mexico’s celebrated NAAFI imprint. It encapsulates the growing anxiety in a city threatened by the very things that help make it beautiful, inviting you to dance through the impending storm of uncertainty ushered in by climate change. As of recent, Nick released his highly anticipated Xtasis EP on TraTraTrax which featured DJ Babatr and remixes by Doctor Jeep and Pearson Sound. He also started 2022 on a high note, claiming a production credit on one of the most well reviewed albums of the year – MOTOMAMI by Rosalía. Patrick Russell is a true veteran of the US underground, perhaps one of the last unsung heroes of a now lost era in the Midwest. A Detroit-bred DJ, artist, and producer active since the early 90's, Patrick has now made New York City his home. Perhaps best known as a key figure in the legendary No Way Back parties, his ability to weave intensely unique, long-format narratives has earned him critical acclaim and repeat performances at Japan’s Labyrinth festival, Berghain, Unsound, and DEMF/Movement. Patrick has also been steadily building a strong catalog of high-profile productions to compliment his increasingly varied, hypnotic, and in-demand DJ sets; his recent 3-track remix EP on The Bunker New York also marks his induction as an official resident DJ at the long-running Brooklyn party. Defined by a technically-deft skill set (Resident Advisor recently proclaimed: “Now this is how you mix techno”) Rachel Noon is a fearless and uncompromising presence both behind the decks and on the dancefloor. Despite her rising European acclaim and recent appointment as resident DJ of Pornceptual, Noon attributes her significant career strides to her hometown of NYC and to Brooklyn's inspiring underground queer scene. Active as both artist and raver there, she successfully fostered a vibrant community of friends and like-minded peers. This community gave rise to her roaming event series LARGE MARGE which has since expanded internationally, with exciting plans ahead. Now from her home-turf Berlin, Noon has co-founded the intimate queer party series mp3, which has rapidly gained popularity in just two short years. If you ask Noon, her most exciting artistic initiative is currently going down inside the studio; she and her friend Steffen Dix have teamed up to form Self Care Starter Pack (or simply, SCSP), a production and live performance duo. Together they have cultivated a process-driven practice whose work takes a nose-dive towards hardware-only experimentation and the integration of optics into performance. Their first single was already released on the mighty Mala Junta x Amniote Editions compilation, and the duo debuted their live set in the fall of 2023 in Berlin. Roza Terenzi is a manifestation of femmeforward rhythmic energy, spreading a concoction of sublime mind dance, irreverent sapphic mischief, & vivacious cybernetics throughout the universe. Since emerging from her birthplace in the Australian underground, she’s helped to usher in a fantastically playful innovation to dancefloors worldwide through her uniquely enamoring recklessness, irresistibly unruly kinetic frequencies, & a stylishly frenetic visual aesthetic. Combining rave sonics across style & era with relentlessly naughty finesse & a bewitching effervescence true to her sound, her DJing embodies a vibrant synergy between arcane feminine exuberance, lush atmospheres, & nefariously trippy grooves - at once deeply transcendent, yet confident, chaotic, and fun loving at its core. Now based in Berlin, her vibrations on the decks are beloved worldwide - whether it’s through landmark festival slots at Dekmantel, Sonar, & Sustain Release, or blazing rave sets at celebrated party spots like Panorama Bar, Bassiani, De School, and likely your favorite club somewhere in the mix. As a producer, her music flirts with similarly enticing unknowns - zooming through spheres of her own elegant velocity, dissolving constraints of time & dimension as she fuses enchanted realms of spellbinding breakbeat science, introspective futch electronica, & devilishly tranced out enchantress anthems. Throughout beloved solo EPs on Kalahari Oyster Cult, Butter Sessions, & Maricas, & her full length “Modern Bliss” LP on Planet Euphorique, she demonstrates an effortlessly eclectic refusal to be confined to any one genre or tempo - blowing convention a kiss goodbye as she ultimately lets her audacious spirit shine through in all that she creates. Her fiercely universal approach also extends into a deep love of collaboration essential to her practice, exemplified through EPs as B'Zircon with Fantastic Man, Current Obsession with Furious Frank, & the much acclaimed “Edge of Innocence” full length LP with D. Tiffany on Delicate Records. Always keen to share the resonance of her inner world, she is presently curating her "Step Ball Chain" imprint as an inventive repository for her productions with a cadre of likeminded freaks & friends - est. in 2020, & only set to expand in sound & vision as it continues to unite chillers, ravers, & lovers everywhere. Simultaneously a daringly original voice in our present day hellscape while also indulging the heavenly potential of rave music’s heyday, she refuses to engage with nostalgic ideas of euphoria - instead focusing on the energy of music across eras that dares to imagine a more magical present & future for us all.Their RA profile lists Dekmantel, Butter Sessions, Voyage, Good Company (AU) and 6 more.Recently at BASEMENT, public records, Nowadays · often with Mike Midnight, emkay (FI), ISAbella, none of them here that night

Significant Other, a UK-born DJ, producer, and curator now based in Berlin, has carved out a distinctive space in the electronic music landscape with his emotionally resonant productions and genre-resistant style of DJing. Consistently operating at the fringes, his creative output is an at times chaotic fusion of the tough and more tender corners of modern dance music. Initially emerging from the Brooklyn underground scene, Significant Other co-founded the prolific NYC event series and record label Club Night Club, cutting his teeth as a covert curatorial presence behind-the-scenes of a new wave of late 2010s Brooklyn dance music. With sporadic releases appearing across a range of acclaimed UK labels, little artist information provided, he emerged from the shadows as an enigmatic figure within the ecosystem of off-kilter dance production. His debut album Residuum arrived via Manchester cult favorite YOUTH in 2021, representing a veiled departure from the club origins of the project. A ghostly, atmospheric full-length grounded in texture and stygian catharsis which revealed a different side to his sound, transposing the tension and release balancing act of dance music onto a listening geared LP format. In the interim years his sound and DJ sets alike have become even harder to define. His work seamlessly blends elements of ambient, dub, and rougher club sonics, creating immersive fugue-state listening experiences that are at once both introspective and dancefloor-ready. The consistently elusive nature of the project has imbued his long discography with a liminal quality, his production and live output alike forever skirting the margins of genre and utility. Over the years he has garnered a cult reputation for his slant on the skudgier, atmospheric ends of contemporary mood-driven electronic music. In 2024 he launched the record label and Berlin event series Pain Management, an anti-dancefloor outlet for outsider sounds spanning spoken word, hellish dub experimentation and avant-garde electronica; ‘body music for restless minds’.Their RA profile lists SPE:C, Youth, Well Street Records, Oscilla Sound and 1 more.Recently at Mansions, Sugar Hill Disco · often with Eleftheria, Buttechno, Matana Roberts, none of them here that night

Heavily influenced by innovators such as Throbbing Gristle and Floorplan, their productions encapsulated sounds that were inspired by the UK and Detroit, and were complimented with live spoken word. After moving to Berlin in 2016, they transitioned from performance art to DJing, where their sets on HÖR facilitated their breakthrough as a DJ. Having drawn inspiration from early industrial and techno pioneers, x3butterfly’s sets retain a raw and ominous quality, with a club twist. Prioritizing the eclectic, they often aim to take listeners on a story-telling journey while simultaneously keeping them on the dance floor. Their sets combine jungle, drum and bass, R&B, dubstep, techno, and other world sounds at 140-160 BPM. x3butterfly has played in various clubs in Mexico, Germany, Denmark, Greece, as well as a multitude of cities in the US. They have quickly become a rising NYC star, DJing notorious NYC venues such as Bossa Nova, Mood Ring, and Nowadays.
