After touring extensively in the early 90s, Hex spent 10 years of quality time in the studio pumping out hit after hit. While still remixing for big names, the thrill of playing in clubs has been beckoning and he’s back doing what he loves…feeling the crowd and making people dance with that deep, sexy, underground sound deep, sexy, underground sound. The post-disco rise of New York nightclubs like the Paradise Garage Paradise Garage, the Roxy Roxy and the Funhouse Funhouse provided the foundation for Hex’s burgeoning interest in dance music, as did radio shows like KISS-FM’s Shep KISS-FM’s Shep Pettibone Pettibone. At the height of his touring days, Hex held residencies at legendary New York hot spots like the Tunnel, Limelight, Palladium, Tunnel, Limelight, Palladium, Sound Factory Bar, Nell’s, Club USA Sound Factory Bar, Nell’s, Club USA and Danceteria Danceteria. Susan got her start at the Pavilion in Fire Island Pines and quickly conquered “the circuit”, playing the GMHC Morning Party, AmfAR’s Dance On Washington, Black & Blue, Cherry, Blue Ball, Gay Days, USS Intrepid for Stonewall 25 and the 20th Dance On The Pier. Sold out after-hours in MIA and NYC, Twilo Tea, her parties for The Saint At Large and being the first woman to headline The Black Party, all made nightlife history. She played Twilo, Roxy, Tunnel, Sound Factory, Limelight, Palladium, Roseland, Cielo, Pacha, Webster Hall, gigs across North America, Europe, Brazil, Japan and Australia and helmed events for Calvin Klein, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, as well as the prestigious Met Gala. Now simply known as Morabito, dropping her first name signaled change and helped publicize her evolution towards a more progressive, tech house influenced sound.
