KIA blurs the lines of genre-specific sounds to deliver listeners a cauldron of influences with a heavy emphasis on queer and BIPOC artists. Inspired by everything from the thunderous clamor of ballroom to the tumultuous drums that inhabit the spaces of underrepresented communities, KIA’s aim is to put visibility and representation in motion one function at a time.Recently at Camp Kennybrook, BASEMENT, Nowadays · often with livwutang, Yumi, Avalon Emerson, none of them here that night

Splitting his time between his hometown Naarm (Melbourne) and touring, Reptant’s reputation now precedes him the world over as one of the underground’s most sought-after live acts. Pushing his machines to the limit to deliver consummate electro on labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult and Trust has entrenched him among icons of the sound and contemporary luminaries alike. He has collaborated with new-school stars Sansibar and Rudolf C, while touring alongside legends like Radioactive Man and Transparent Sound through his label and party series, Plastisonic. His style — singular, timeless, and squelchy — has earned him regular slots at the scene’s most definitive clubs and festivals worldwide, including Fold (London), Nowadays (NYC), Waking Life (Portugal), Love International (Croatia), and Houghton (England). On top of his live sets, Reptant has been honing his DJing with incredible clarity, never losing focus on the needs of the dance floor while laying down esoteric heat from across the electro/techno continuum. Watch out for Reptant at a club near you.Their RA profile lists TRUST, Die Orakel, Craigie Knowes, Steeplejack and 6 more.often with Miscmeg, Vinz Sosa, Mike Midnight, none of them here that night
“Montréal duo Jump Source–comprised of Patrick Holland and Francis Latreille–announce their first full length Album, Fold, due April 23rd on NAFF Recordings.”

Montréal duo Jump Source–comprised of Patrick Holland and Francis Latreille–announce their first full length Album, Fold, due April 23rd on NAFF Recordings. Over the past decade, the pair have carved out a distinct lane with idiosyncratic club music, lacing undeniable dancefloor anthems with jagged left turns that never miss. With their shared studio as the creative hub, Patrick and Francis have also become one of the most reliable production teams in electronic music; writing, producing, and mixing for artists like James K., Car Culture, Maara, Tiga, among many others. Fold is Jump Source’s most ambitious project yet. Echoing the electronic LP boom of the early 2000s, it’s as much an ode to the dancefloor as it is the articulation of a distinct, everything-goes pop ethos. With an eclectic cast of collaborators including POiSON GiRLFRiEND, billy woods, Helena Deland, CFCF, Loukeman and more, this album leaves no corner of music untouched. Peak hour club hits with candy-glossed choruses meld with folktronic balladry and a curveball rap cut. Turbulence is a persistent theme on the record: the highs and lows of life in music, connections gained and lost on the road, mundane exchanges made uncanny by shifting time zones. The city is the lingering backdrop here, etched out in full relief to reveal every grain.House on 9, Techno on 7, Tech House on 5 and Electro on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Jump Source (1) and Turbo (1); their RA profile also lists NAFF. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileoften with Jennifer Loveless, Berghain, Mariposa, none of them here that night
