Saphe is a Syrian, New York-based DJ and curator and co-founder of Laylit, a monthly dance party and platform that brings together DJ sets and live instruments by artists from the MENA region and its diaspora. Approaching the dancefloor as a space of experimentation through which new forms of Arabic dance music can emerge, Saphe’s sets consist of highly percussive bass music, engaging with a variety of styles and practices from breakbeats, jungle & D&B, breaky techno, and his signature Arabic electronic beats. Saphe’s exploration of rhythm also extends to different media and formats for thinking and making, namely writing, fieldwork, and audiovisual arts.Recently at Mood Ring, Elsewhere, Nowadays · often with Arianna Danae, Fatin, saHHar, none of them here that night

“MSNA is the co-founder of Laylit and member of Lebanese-Canadian electronic duo Wake Island.”
their own biography
the whole biography
MSNA is the co-founder of Laylit and member of Lebanese-Canadian electronic duo Wake Island. His mixes are a surprising marriage of his favorite pop music from SWANA and beyond with modern electronic sounds and beats. Through his work, he explores the ever-present dichotomy and contradictions of being an immigrant in North America, juggling values, taste and cultural belonging. This tension, he believes, can transcend the individual and turn into a collective experience on the dancefloor, one that unwaveringly looks ahead, while acknowledging the crucial role of history in shaping the future.Last at Elsewhere in Sep · often with Fatin, Arianna Danae, nar, none of them here that night

At the age of 18, CYCLO BONETTE left her home country in pursuit of freedom. She began producing from her bedroom in NYC, and her unique sound quickly landed her a debut at Elsewhere in 2024. CYCLO BONETTE's performances, whether vinyl or digital, defy genre classification. She brings an honest and magical presence to the dance floor, building moving stories that never fail to surprise her audiences. With a sound inspired by 90's house music and acid, she curates grounding experiences to pave the way for togetherness and spiritual connection.Recently at Happyfun Hideaway, H0L0, Bossa Nova Civic Club · often with benny sun, i-ris, Maxwellbean, none of them here that night
