Certifiably one of the most revered underground DJs of the Netherlands, Job Veerman, better known as Identified Patient, has made a name for himself as an otherworldly storyteller. His leftfield mixes take the listener on a white-knuckle ride of twists and turns, with no genre, tempo, or mood off-limits. The Amsterdam-based artist made his ascension with some of Rotterdam’s finest imprints, all the while filling dance floors across the country and throughout Europe. His style fuses raw aesthetics with unrivaled, relentless energy which he translates into his productions as fluidly as his DJ sets. With a trademark sound that drifts between the experimental sides of techno, electro, acid, dub, and jungle, it was not long before his music gained the attention of Rotterdam-based labels. Hitting Common Thread in 2016 with The Female Medical College of Pennsylvania and then Pinkman in 2017 with a string of releases, and later releasing his Split EP on London’s Brokntoys. These outlets would become the platforms for his early releases which were recognized as instant hits in several charts and clubs throughout Europe and beyond. In 2020 he released his Nerve Deposit EP as part of Dekmantel’s UFO Series. This year he will return to Dekmantel’s imprint, this time with his debut album. Not only this, but he is busy collaborating with Gamma Intel on an EP, also due to hit the airwaves this year. Besides his sensually severe, irreverent productions, Identified Patient has put himself on the map with his high-energy DJ sets, brimming with tension that spills over into eclectic and diverse styles. Despite his rapid transitions his focus never diverges from the quality of his selections. He has become a vital presence at Dekmantel events and was a regular at the Amsterdam institution, De School, firmly asserting his place in the Dutch electronic scene. Matthew Bugeja, better known as Patient, is a Malta-based DJ and producer. Over the years, he has developed a sound defined by precision, intensity, and an uncompromising focus on the dancefloor. His style is rooted in driving low-end rhythms, stripped-back percussion, and raw, hypnotic energy that commands attention. Patient has already taken his sound beyond the island, making notable appearances in key electronic music hubs including Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan, and Manchester, with more international debuts on the horizon. Bianca Oblivion lives and breathes Los Angeles. Born and raised in the City of Angels, the globe-trotting, genre-hopping, hard-hustling artist—who was recently named by Mixmag as one of 2023’s breakthrough DJs of the year and is also part of Beatport Next’s class of of 2024—is unbound by dance music orthodoxy, opting instead for an “anything goes as long as it bangs” approach that reflects the unique cultural palette of her hometown. Growing up Mexican in LA, Bianca heard G-funk blasting out of cars and cumbia coming out of the stereo at backyard BBQs, and during her teen years, she started spending her nights soaking up electro, house and all sorts of heavy bass music, most often in the city’s vibrant underground club and warehouse rave scene. She’s still raving today, and as a DJ, she’s intent on connecting the dots between seemingly disparate sounds, as likely to drop dancehall, reggaeton, hip-hop, R&B or even a cheeky pop edit as she is to unleash a torrent of gut-rumbling grime, dubstep, hardcore or some other bass-heavy sound. Bianca is the rare selector who can tear the roof off just about anywhere, and in the past few years, she’s showcased her skills not only at world-renowned festivals like Bass Coast, Glastonbury, Fusion and Boomtown, but also at iconic clubs like London’s fabric and Barcelona’s Razzmatazz. Still, it’s Warp Mode—the LA party she throws alongside fellow bass fiends Star Eyes and AK Sports—where she’s most comfortable, and not just behind the decks. Leaning into the hypnotic, the tension-building, and the euphoric release—Lolsnake (she/they) does not simply play to a room, she creates it. With a fluid, genre-defiant approach, her sets move between the reduced and the raw, the dramatic and the unpredictable, stirring up heady atmospheres and hypnotic moods on the dancefloor. Driving rhythms and intricate sound design sit alongside moments of startling emotional depth — a sonic signature that is at once intense and deeply feeling, cerebral and magnetically unpredictable. A regular at Berghain, Lolsnake is also the founder of Weeeirdos, a queer platform that champions subversive joy, curiosity, and community. As a DJ and visual artist, her multifaceted background fuels a perspective that is both boundary-pushing and deeply rooted in connection — her sets a constant balance between classic dancefloor accessibility and a desire to push at the edges of genre convention.
