An Ivy League graduate, Firebunny is a hard techno DJ/producer based in New York City, with a rich heritage of Chinese and Japanese descent. Demonstrating musical talent early on, she wrote and recorded her debut song at just 16. Her journey began with mastering piano and electric guitar, alongside founding two punk rock bands in her teens. Known for her vibrant energy and diverse musical palette, she quickly rose to prominence internationally, sharing the stage with top international artists like Carv, Skazi, Gravedgr, Hannah Laing, Juliet Fox, Lewis Fautzi, to list a few. Firebunny's first EP Yamete merges melancholic and euphoric elements, featuring industrial textures, strong basslines, and her own delicate vocals. He fell in love with electronic music at a young age attending drum n bass and house music parties in PR. But it was in 2009 when he moved to the East Coast of the US that he was captivated by the art of mixing and collecting records, something that he stays very loyal to, strictly playing ALL VINYL sets. Emma likes to keep his sets varied and take the crowd through a musical journey, from dub to house to minimal and techno…none of his sets will sound the same. In 2012 Emma moved to in Brooklyn NY and got involved in the ever growing and evolving local underground scene. He has performed at venues like: The Panther Room (Output), The Roof (Output), Good Room, Analog BKny, TBA, Bushwick AV afterhours and Bossa Nova Civic Club, just to mention a few. In 2016 he joined forces with his partner in crime K.O. and together they launched Vinyl Please, a series of parties showcasing vinyl culture, praising veteran artists & labels, while also highlighting new and up-and-coming artists.” So far they had the pleasure of hosting talented local and intentional DJs including Subb-an (One Records, 2020 Vision), Dennis Rodgers (112 Crew, Robots), Claire (Archipel, Monoclap- MTL), Alix Alvarez (Taverna Tracks, Secret Society), Martinez (Concealed Sounds- Copenhagen), Andrew Grant (Sheik-n-Beik, Circoloco), Ohm Hourani (Anoma Records MTL) ,O.BEE (Resolute), Willie Graff (Freerange Recordings, Pacha Ibiza), Michel Harruch & Dominguez (Mnmlktchn), Anthony Collins (Frank & Tony, Scissor & Thread), Connie (ReSolute), Francis Harris aka Adultnapper (Frank & Tony, Scissor & Thread), Lauer (Tuff City Kids, Robert Johnson- DE), and Onionz (Intec, Electrik Soul) who have delighted the crowds with their record collections. In 2018 Vinyl Please teamed up with Dojo Sessions and Nine to Fire to launch Praxis, a monthly event held at intimate Brooklyn underground venues showcasing live acts and vinyl only Dj sets.” Currently a member of the Brooklyn Sway gang in NYC!
