A longtime fixture of Detroit's club scene, DJ Minx is often referred to as the First Lady of Wax. Her sets and productions range from deep and minimal to boisterous and funky, earning her enduring respect across the global house and techno community. Active since the early 1990s, she formed the Women on Wax collective and launched its label in 2001, amplifying the voices of Detroit’s female DJs and producers. Minx scored an underground hit with the 2003 minimal house track “A Walk in the Park”—later reissued on Richie Hawtin’s M_nus imprint—and has continued to release music that bridges Detroit’s rich history with forward-thinking club culture. Throughout her career, Minx has played pivotal roles in Detroit’s musical story: hosting Deep Space Radio on WGPR, broadcasting Steamy Windows on CJAM, holding residencies at Club Motor, and performing at every edition of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival / Movement since its inception in 2000. Her contributions were formally recognized with the Spirit of Detroit Award in 2018, and she has been honored by Mixmag and Time Out as one of the women who shaped dance music history and among the top house DJs of all time. Since 2021, Minx has embraced her voice as a proud advocate for the Black queer community. She released Purse First to benefit Detroit’s Ruth Ellis Center, where she was also immortalized in a mural celebrating LGBTQ+ leaders. Her EP Queendom on HE.SHE.THEY. and her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut in 2022 cemented her global presence. Do It All Night (Planet E) showcased remixes from Carl Craig and Honey Dijon, further elevating her reach. In 2025, Minx continues to thrive as one of Detroit’s most important cultural ambassadors. She released “Blocked” on Rules Don’t Apply in February—a sharp, self-empowering anthem—and collaborated with Kevin and Dantiez Saunderson as e-Dancer on “Detroit”, an intergenerational tribute to her city’s techno legacy. She also lit up her hometown with a halftime performance for the Detroit Pistons in March 2025. International bookings remain strong, with headline festival slots and curated stages at Movement and beyond. From her roots in Detroit’s underground to her present role as a global cultural force, DJ Minx stands as a living legend: bold, soulful, and uncompromising, still shaping the future of dance music more than three decades in.Their RA profile lists M-nus, Whasdat Music, Women On Wax Recordings and Sun & Sound Detroit.Recently at The Chocolate Factory, BASEMENT, Coney Island Art Walls · often with Radio Slave, Jason Kendig, Eli Escobar, none of them here that night

Ryan Elliott has spent the past two decades of his esteemed career effortlessly bridging the gap between different artistic expectations. Growing up as a DJ in Detroit, but coming into his own in Berlin, his sets expand on each city’s styles. A resident at Berghain and Panorama Bar, he refuses to be aligned with just techno or house, instead highlighting their optimal overlaps. And as a producer, remixer, and founder of his own label, Faith Beat, Elliott releases music that is playable but unpredictable, perfectly calibrated for dancefloor impact and enduring enjoyment. No matter what form his musical expression takes, with Elliott listeners always seem to get the best of both worlds. Launched in 2019, Faith Beat is an organic extension of Elliott’s passions as a DJ, producer and voracious record collector. A home for music that is thoughtful and loose, precise yet approachable, Faith Beat is not a one-way street, but an ongoing conversation between Elliott and the crowds he plays for, the producers he loves and the records he buys. As a DJ, Elliott delivers sets that slice energetically across the house and techno divide, a revelatory approach that's infused with a deep respect for his selections. This ethos also manifests in the monthly charts Elliott has published since 2003, insisting on giving a proper platform to whatever he plays. As with all of his efforts, Elliott doesn’t pit one place or style against each other, continuing to pursue a sleek and transportive fusion.Their RA profile lists Ostgut Ton and Faith Beat.Recently at public records, H0L0, Nowadays · often with Berghain, Ogazón, Rene Wise, none of them here that night
