their own biography
the whole biography
His eclectic style of groovy underground minimal & house records creates a captivating and hypnotic vibe. Taking inspiration from the likes of the Romanian,UK, and NYC underground scenes, he has cultivated his own sound of underground house music. Spaced out, jazzy, minimal grooves is his style of choice, and he’s invested in expanding his knowledge base by continually creating and collecting music. A computer nerd at heart, Rupert's love for synthesizers and especially eurorack have helped shape the sound he pushes today. In November of 2022 Rupert launched his own record label, Selekt Sounds, which focuses on the hypnotic, psychedelic, and jazzy sides of minimal. The label has featured artists such as Hendriks Toth, Ali Demir, Modebaku, Dragomir, Herck, Chuwee, TIJN, Nektar Agu and many more.Minimal on 2, Breakbeat on 1, House on 1 and Microhouse on 1. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on Artist Intelligence Agency (1), InTheBagg (1) and Kiku Records (1); their RA profile also lists Andhera Records, DISTRAKT AUDIO, RVDIOVCTIVE and selekt sounds. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileLast at SILO in Aug · often with Adam Braiman, Chris Sanabria, Jeny Michelle, none of them here that night

the whole biography
SIERRA IS A GROUNDED GUY WHO’S WORKING EVERYDAY LIFE’S THINGS OUT COOLLY. HE MADE HIS FIRST FOOTSTEPS AS A DJ AT THE CLUB “MUNA”, WHICH HAS BECOME LEGENDARY IN THE MEANTIME. SINCE QUITE A FEW YEARS HE’S RESIDENT OVER THERE AND MIGHT EVEN BE A FIXTURE OF IT. DURING THAT PERIOD HE GAINED A LOT OF EXPERIENCE AND MET SEVERAL INSPIRING ARTISTS AND DJS. HE ALSO TRAVELLED A LOT AND SO HE CAN SHOW A LOT OF CLUBS AND FESTIVALS AS REFERENCES NOW. THE BIG INTEREST IN ELECTRONIC MUSIC MADE HIS WISH OF PUNKIN’ OUT IN MUSIC BUSINESS AND CREATIN’ HIS OWN WORKS OF MIND KEEP GROWIN’ ON AND ON. THAT’S HOW THE FIRST OWN PRODUCTIONS CAME TO EXISTENCE, EVEN IF HE FIRSTLY PLAYED THEM IN HIS SETS ONLY. FINALLY HE FOUND A NEW HOME BASE AT ANNY JACK WHERE HE RELEASED HIS DEBUT SINGLE “THE END OF THE BEGINNING”.Their RA profile lists Anny Jack Recordings and SIERRRA.Recently at Le Poisson Rouge · often with 2CFM, Denzel Washington, Gustavo Ibarra, none of them here that night
