“Saqib is a creative force.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Saqib is a creative force. A DJ’s DJ, a deep digger of musical gems, a producer of equally unique gems, and a community builder. First and foremost a guitarist, bass player and drummer who grew up in the world of rock and metal from a young age in Pakistan, Saqib is a producer whose tracks transcend genre, era, hype, and scene. They speak the language of dance. With close to a hundred releases over the past decade he has slowly created a sound unto himself and a devoted following. It is a sound that crosses boundaries between house, techno, indie dance, hip hop, Bollywood, Lahore, Brooklyn, Detroit and Berlin mixed with some secret sauce known only to the man himself. Moving to New York City to play shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the world, Saqib has shared the decks and earned plays from artists like Danny Tenaglia, Jamie Jones, Adam Ten, Blond:ish, Adriatique, Mita Gami, Bedouin, Lee Burridge, Robag Wruhme and so many more. His records, released on labels including Abracadabra, Maccabi House, Kindisch, Flying Circus, Get Physical, Sol Selectas, and Echolette, reflect a spectrum of musical sensibility that can only be described as UNIQUE… earning him a spot as one of of 1001 Tracklists’ Top 100 Producers and a regular spot in the Beatport top 10 in multiple genres. During the pandemic Saqib became a resident artist of Blondish:ish’s Abracadabra releasing music, doing A+R, and hosting a weekly twitch stream created entirely on his own called “Love Jams” that started a devoted following around his sound. In 2022 he started his own label ‘Beats On Time’, a Brooklyn-based indie dance imprint uplifting local and international artists alike. Whether at Brooklyn Mirage, Knockdown Center, a rooftop or a dimly-lit basement, Saqib leads the floor with his unique sound. A unique one who marches to the beat of his own drum and we all dance with him.Their RA profile lists Get Physical Music, Flying Circus, Kindisch Records, Intimate Project Music and 4 more.Recently at About Last Night, Brooklyn Mirage, Listen Brooklyn · often with Nhii, Taylor Bradford, Narasimha, none of them here that night
“Tara loves nightlife, having started out as an event producer and promoter.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Tara loves nightlife, having started out as an event producer and promoter. As a member of Rare Form, she helped originate Donuts are Forever, an annual fundraiser/tribute to J. Dilla, as well as Makossa Brooklyn Cookout, now 10 years strong as a beloved Brooklyn summer hang. Having performed at diverse and unconventional venues around New York City and abroad, Tara is always eager to find new and exciting crowds to spin for. Early on in her career, Tara realized being a DJ is more than just playing a mix of records; it is a matter of building trust between herself and the crowd and sharing the knowledge and love the she has for the music and the feelings it projects onto the listeners. The crowd trusts Tara to become part of another great night in their lives, and she returns that favor by giving them a taste of the familiar as well as something new that may be something they have never realized was needed in their musical memory.Recently at Black Flamingo, public records, Good Room · often with Niyah West, FLORA, Kilopatrah Jones, none of them here that night
