their own biography
the whole biography
Rigopolar is a Mexican electronic music producer based in Miami. Throughout his unconventional mix, sounds of indie dance, cosmic, dark, italo disco float in mid-air while full-bodied stories are told on a mental journey through time and space. You can’t help but wonder what could awaken a feeling so massive. That’s because at the core of Rigopolar’s sonic magic is the vastness of the universe. Where do we come from? Where are we going? Not only does his music give rise to these elusive questions, ironically it holds the key. Many clubs and festivals around the globe has welcomed Rigopolar like Mayan Warrior/Maxa Camp, Electric Daisy Carnival Mexico, FORMAT festival (Arkansas), Bazique (Cape Town) and many clubs as Renate (Berlin), Fünk club (Mexico), MN Roy, Kaputt Club (Colombia), Outer Heaven (NYC), Floyd (Miami) to name a few. His music has been supported and played by artist like Solomun, me, Hernan Cataneo, Who Made Who, Nick Warren, Terr, M.A.N.D.Y., Shit Robot, Guy Mantzur, Shubostar, Mathias Schober, Deerjade, Skatebård among others.Their RA profile lists Tom Tom Disco, Duro and HIFI/LOFI Records.Recently at The Onyx Room at House of Yes, Outer Heaven, Public Arts · often with Eber, EXTRAEXTRA, feat. the whole biography
Discolypso is a global record label, DJ collective, and creative platform operating between New York, Europe, Mexico City, and the Mediterranean underground. Rooted in cosmic disco, Balearic sounds, tropical rhythms, leftfield electronic music, and rare groove culture, Discolypso has spent the last decade building a distinct universe where nightlife, Hi-Fi listening culture, art, and emotional storytelling collide. The label has developed a reputation for championing eclectic artists and genre-defying releases that balance dancefloor energy with deep musicality. Over the years, Discolypso has collaborated with acclaimed names including François K, Prins Thomas, Dombrance, Rigopolar, Daniele Baldelli, Ray Mang, and many others across the global disco and underground electronic scene. The label’s catalog spans cosmic chuggers, psychedelic disco, tropical edits, synth-driven journeys, and emotionally charged electronic releases. Notable projects include Tropical City by Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi, Dombrance’s politically infused electronic releases and animated visual projects, Ichisan’s Fantasound EP, Ray Mang remix packages, and a growing collection of vinyl and digital releases. Beyond the label itself, Discolypso has become known for immersive parties, listening sessions, and cultural programming that blur the line between club culture and artistic experience. The collective has hosted events and takeovers at festivals and venues including Glastonbury Festival, Wilderness Festival, KOKO London, FORMAT, and recurring nights in New York, London and Mexico City. Their events often combine immersive sound and light installations, live electronic acts and visual art in order to generate their signature 'dance floor extravaganza'.
