Son of Lee is Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Sam Levison. A musical omnivore with a love for all things deep, cosmic and deep in the cosmos, he started DJing as a teenager and has been active in Brooklyn's dance music underground for almost ten years. Currently, he is a resident DJ at hi-fi listening bar Outer Heaven. Previously, he's held residencies at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Wild Birds, Public Records and Jupiter Disco, among others. Sam has also played renowned nightclubs including Output, Elsewhere, Berlin's KitKat Club, Departamento CDMX and Golden Pudel in Hamburg on bills alongside Soul Clap, Terrence Parker, Analog Soul, Lawrence (Dial) and many others. However, he feels most at home spinning genre-spanning sets at the bars and small venues that are the lifeblood of his hometown music scene. As a producer, he’s released disco and house records on labels including Dailysession NY, Toucan Sounds and Berlin's Disco Bizarre. Most recently he had a featured remix on Tyler Pope's solo debut, Nur Weill Ich Kann (Interference Pattern, 2020) and a dubbed out cosmic disco edit on Rocksteady Disco's ABC Versions EP alongside tracks from Blair French and Peter Croce. DJ, producer, music supervisor, chef, and TV host – Matt FX is the definitive multihyphenate. Referred to as a “musical polymath” by Forbes and a “NYC nightlife institution” by VICE, he first shot to fame as the mind behind the soundtrack of the hit Comedy Central TV show BROAD CITY, as well as for his appearances on VICE News Tonight and the Food Network. No lightweight in the kitchen either, Matt co-founded "underground fried chicken sandwich racket" DUBPLATE NYC, dubbed the 'best fried chicken sandwich of all time' by Busboy.co As a DJ, Matt approaches each and every set with an irreverence that the New York Times calls “interesting social commentary on multiple levels” and has shared lineups with artists as varied as Soul Clap and Disclosure to Snoop Dogg and Demi Lovato. Leg Room have individually been playing records in their own homes and private parties for years. The two have a wide range of tastes and neither like being boxed into one category. The pandemic forced them into a situation where they were living together where they realized their collections provide a nice balance to each other. Leg Room was born out of a passion for creating space for friends to dance since that's what Leg Room are, friends. In the second half of 2023 they were given a residency at Outer Heaven in Manhattan, NY and moved the party outside of private spaces and into the club.
