Aleska (previously Electro Cherry) is a DJ and producer from the Midwest, who recently made the bold leap from corporate America to pursue her passion for electronic music. Now based in New York City, she’s quickly making a name for herself on the underground scene. With a sound shaped by global underground influences, Aleska blends a mix of deep, acid, progressive, minimal, hypnotic, and trance that keeps the dance floor moving all night long. Whether exploring new sonic territories or experimenting with fresh beats on her digital and vinyl decks, she’s carving out a unique space in the electronic music world. Aleska is an active leader in the Support Women DJs movement, which aims to increase the representation of femme-identifying DJs on lineups. In addition to her work in this space, she hosts a monthly radio show called Ripe Frequencies at Hi-Note, showcasing the spaceship-sounding music she loves. London-born, Atlanta-raised, and Brooklyn-based, J.N.R. grounds her obsession with digging and curation in a deep respect for club culture and endless hours spent on the dancefloor. Her sound sits at the crossroads of uk bass, prog, and tech house, with moments of meditative introspection and energetic exuberance doled out in equal measure. Classically trained for 15 years, J.N.R. brings both precision and playfulness to her sets, infusing foundational influences with fresh energy. She’s played at a number of notable venues in BK and beyond, including Elsewhere, H0L0, and Kater, and has graced the decks for respected NYC institutions like ReSolute and Ladies on Wax. J.N.R. sets traverse genres and are rooted in the raw expression of the 90s & early 00s: bumpy UKG, spacey prog, techy rollers, choppy breaks, and heady bass are all on the table.Recently at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Rash, Jupiter Disco · often with Gigi Rio, Remniqe, Samuel Pojer, none of them here that night

In the day time you can catch them hosting their monthly show at Lot Radio titled What is an Ocean Between Us?. Inspired by the thinking of Claudia Jones, Suzanne Cesaire, and Edouard Glissant the series aims to celebrate the innate the condition of being Carribean, as being Carribean is to practice errantry — it is to search for one another across oceans, time, and in this case through sound. They've had the pleasure of hosting this series at both E-Flux and Montez Press as well. At night, DUNESKA explores a multitude of sounds as hard hitting as the city they're from including Dembow, Juke, Techno, and more. Their goal is simple — that you walk out the club feeling sexier than when you stepped in.Recently at Mood Ring, Paragon, Bossa Nova Civic Club · often with Nunu, Keith Charles, hellotones, none of them here that night
