The sound of X CLUB., the dance production duo of Ben Clarke and Jesse Morath, is not easily defined. Inspired by early 90s techno all the way through to future-facing drum’n’bass, X CLUB. has carved out a space entirely their own thanks to their authentic and eclectic take on dance music with serious consideration for underlying groove. Currently based in London, X CLUB. counts the likes of Steel City Dance Discs, Lobster Theremin and StayOnSight as homes for their releases already. The second half of 2022 will see the pair kick things into gear with a number of offerings before making their way back home for the summer festival circuit. September will see X CLUB. unleash their new EP 300 TOOLS FOR SUCCESS on Miley Serious’ 99cts Records, delivering four tracks full of pure groove and heavy hitting moments best served with a warning. Forthcoming projects on Tred’s label Global Amnesia and a return to Dance Discs are also on the horizon. The latter includes a feature from rising star Pretty Girl, the duo’s second foray into music videos, and ‘Say No More’ which has quickly become a go-to for label boss and friend Mall Grab in his own sets, igniting the “ID?”s across the digital realm. X CLUB.’s sets are at once precise and considered as they are unrelenting and propulsive. The pair opt to guide their audience on a dynamic, energetic and unpredictable ride, upping the intensity and chaos before reaching total dancefloor liberation. Quickly emerging from sharehouses in Meanjin/Brisbane and onto the international stage, X CLUB.’s buzz as one of the hottest dance acts to watch at home and abroad is the result of friendship, authenticity, and of course, hard n’ fast tracks. A key part of a burgeoning collective of artists in their home of Meanjin and around Australia each making their presence known on the international stage alongside Skin on Skin, JamesJamesJames, Mutant Joe, Crush3d, Juicy Romance, Pretty Girl and many more. They remain connected by a sense of family, humility and a desire to make dance music that makes you feel just as much as it makes you move. In no time at all, X CLUB. has been quick to make their mark as a duo with expansive, dynamic and deliberate sonic influences by ensuring this is embedded directly into their music. Fans can expect anything from a sombre and reflective vocal-driven trance track to allout techno assaults; drum’n’bass heaters to pensive and poignant introspection — all within the same record. X CLUB. finds its strength lies not only in this freedom from typical genre constraints, but their willingness to go where their songwriting takes them. ✯ London Based ✯ Hide The Junk - a record label by X CLUB. ✯EU/UK - katty@triangleagency.com ✯NA/SA - Joe@surefireagency.com ✯AU/ASIA - steel@proxyagency.coTheir RA profile lists Steel City Dance Discs and Poumpet Records.Recently at BASEMENT, Elsewhere · often with Lana Vese, Michelle Kay, 33Below, none of them here that night

“Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Some DJs burst upon the scene like a supernova, fading just as quickly. Others take years, even decades, to make their way—but those are the ones who make the most impact, thanks to a lifetime of accumulated musical wisdom. Mike Servito is a prime example of the latter. His career is one that’s defined by a slow and steady rise to upper ranks of the deejaying realm—and along the way, he’s perfected a jacking style that equal parts house, acid and techno, a sound that pays homage to the past while being very much of-the-moment. A Detroit-area native, Servito got his early education by tuning into the Electrifying Mojo and the Wizard (Jeff Mill’s radio moniker). By the early ’90s, Servito was primed to try his hand at the deejaying arts, “I was just kind of cocky about it,” he says. “I knew I could do it.” And he was right—in the DJ hotbed of Detroit, internalizing knowledge gleamed from the likes of Mike Huckaby and Claude Young, he kept working at it until he established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Motor City circuit, eventually becoming a member in good standing with the inner circle of Ghostly International. But Servito felt the need for a change from the sometimes insular environment of Detroit. By the late ’00s, he was living in NYC with no real game plan in place. As it turned out, he didn’t really need one—he soon fell in with the city’s premier techno party, The Bunker, becoming one of its mainstay residents. Around the same time, he was beginning to make his presence known on a global scale, packing dance floors with gigs around the States and around the world. But it was a hometown festival snub in 2014 that really got things going. Servito had played Movement once before, in 2011. “And between then and 2014,” he recalls, “I had been playing so many Bunker parties, playing so many great gigs and my profile was rising—so I was sure they would book me again.” The invite never came. Instead, he booked himself at every Movement after-party he could, one of which was the annual No Way Back, a legendary throw down hosted by The Bunker New York and Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions label. The set, a riotously sweaty bleeps-and-beats affair, was recorded for posterity; unexpectedly but deservedly, it garnered a nod as the year’s No 1 online Mix of the Year on Resident Advisor. That was the spark that set Servito’s career aflame, the push that took him to the top. Since then, he’s cemented his status as one of the most respected spinners around, regularly manning the decks at such hallowed halls as Berlin’s Panorama Bar, London’s XOYO and Tokyo’s Contact, not to mention the world’s best festivals—including, of course Movement. And to this day, his approach to deejaying is refreshingly simple: “I really don’t think about it,” he says, “When I’m playing, I just dive in, and I’m OK.” He’s far more than okay—he’s one of the best around.Techno on 7, Acid on 5, House on 5 and Acid House on 3. styles on their catalogued releasesReleased on The Bunker New York (2) and Interdimensional Transmissions (1); their RA profile also lists Firehouse and Honey Soundsystem. labels on their catalogued releases and on their RA profileRecently at Studio 301 NYC, public records, Nowadays · often with Shaun J. TT’s storytelling origins began as a fashion stylist, and in recent years, those narratives have grown to include sonic transmissions as a DJ. The Virginia native is based in New York and draws inspiration from their communities both here and across the globe. Infusing the classic shapeshifting sounds of the Midwest with the paradigm shifting sounds of Berlin, Copenhagen, Malmö, and beyond. Their sets will take you on a hard-hitting celestial journey through euphoric melodies, spastic synths, and cunty chants. Uniting rhythmic frequencies of opposing forces, TT's singular style is much like that of a "Meditating Gunrunner."Recently at BASEMENT, Nowadays, H0L0 · often with RYKER, Mother Daughter Dance, Madre Guía, none of them here that night
“Alírio started her career as a DJ in 2019 in Uberlândia, a small town in Minas Gerais - Brazil.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Alírio started her career as a DJ in 2019 in Uberlândia, a small town in Minas Gerais - Brazil. Head behind the BAILE034 collective, she produced parties, balls and other cultural activities, promoting ballroom culture, which was rising at the time in Brazil. In 2021, she moved to São Paulo and since then has been conquering dance floors across the country. With ability to create narratives through DJ sets always full of energy, she goes through different musical genres, exploring femininity through sensual and complex beats. Her musical research highlights sounds produced by dissident artists, mainly from Latin America. In 2022, Alírio unpretentiously began the production of mashups and bootlegs, some of them became club anthems, such as the first collaboration with Guza in Unique Tribal, earning the duo an invitation to participate in the remix album of the brazilian band Noporn (Adoro Djs), celebrating 20 years of career and other collections from national and international labels such as Choccy Biccy (UK), Volquete (AR), AUX1 (ES) and TTT (BR). In 2024, the multidisciplinary label Tandera Records was born in partnership with the artists Bassan, Guza, Lady Letal and Tuxe, a platform to release music, mixes (with monthly episodes on the brazilian radio function.fm) and production of visual art. Alírio is resident of the brazilian underground parties Mamba Negra (SP), Versa (SP), Buero (SP) and already performed at prominent parties and clubs such as Baile em Chernobyl (SP/Berlin), Deseo (AR), Kode (RJ), NBOMB (PE), Silicose (MG) and Atrita (CE). This year she will make her debut in Europe at the Mamba Negra's showcase at the Whole festival (Germany) along with Cashu in August.Last at The Chocolate Factory in Feb · often with Roza Terenzi, ISAbella, Hyperaktivist, none of them here that night
