Just like the ‘80s soundtrack bangers she’s known to slip into many a peaktime set, Lauren Murada’s origin story is a classic coming-of-age movie straight off the big screen—but make it NYC, and definitely make it disco. In search of the perfect dance floor to call home, she booked a one way ticket from Sydney to the City That Never Sleeps in 2014, and never looked back… One step into the world of her infamous party series Love Games and it’s clear that she’s made her dreams come true: It’s a love letter to disco made manifest, forged in part from her nine-year tenure as Production Manager at Good Room, and carefully honed through countless nights spent on Brooklyn dance floors and behind the decks. Championing beloved pioneers from the Golden Era of disco with reverence, the party equally sets the stage for the joyfully abundant expressions of the next gen. Lauren and fellow party resident Finn Jones host legendary DJs and devotees alike as they spin across the spectrum of timeless classics, leftfield treasures, mind-melters and guilty pleasures. Swept off their feet by undeniable grooveladen sets served by the likes of François K, Mark Grusane, CC:Disco!, Session Victim, Dee Diggs and more, dancers are held in the warmest embrace of balloons and mirrorball kisses—at Love Games, everyone’s a winner. Joy continues to take the lead in Lauren’s production work. Her hot n’ ready edits [out on the cheeky Fundido chaps’ eponymous Brooklyn-based label] range from funky tongue-in-cheek serenades [“Married Men”], sleaze-tastic glam rock gems [“Paradise Garage”], to blazingly glorious femme anthems [“Under Fire”] that will have you reaching for your hairbrush mic! They’re a perfect extension of who she is today as a DJ and selector—an irrepressible force of Fun, dedicated to surprising her dance floors with an open invitation to Love.Recently at The Sultan Room, Good Room, Danger Danger · often with Finn Jones, Party Dad, Love Games, none of them here that night

Born in Ohio and raised by New York clubs, Cosmo is a shining modern representative of the city’s Golden Age of DJing, in skill, in spirit, and in sensibility. A forever student of 90s subcultures, Cosmo is now an authority in connecting those dots, decompartmentalizing genres during her sets and revitalizing the club as a much needed space for expression and joy. Cosmo may open a night with her early entry points to dance music, gospel and funk and vocal-heavy RnB, and proceed to blend break beats with new jack swing or old-school house with tribal—all delivered with remarkable clarity of voice and a sense of self that fueled her fated teenage move to New York to DJ over a decade ago. Being from the Midwest, her house music literacy circles its epicenters and favors groovy records, warm basslines, playful vocals, and elating instrumentals that stir the spirit. Her deep knowledge, cultural curiosity, and refreshing authenticity make Cosmo one of New York’s most in-demand DJs, a regular at the most iconic clubs and a Fashion Week party go-to. She is a resident at Public Records, where she can explore every inch of her collection and join forces with legends like Sandy Rivera as well as other torchbearing peers. She’s represented the city sharing the decks with her heroes like Honey Dijon and Mike Dunn, and on esteemed platforms such as Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show and Luke Solomon’s Classic Music Company show. As a longtime resident at The Lot Radio, Cosmo gets the opportunity to share everything she cherishes and often includes parts of her CD and magazine archives. Music has soundtracked Cosmo’s every move. Her gratitude for her practice is apparent, and her effervescence behind the decks reaches the crowd no matter the size of the room—a musical hug that holds dancers through times good and bad.Recently at public records, Gabriela, House of Yes · often with Eli Escobar, Donis, Hidden Spheres, none of them here that night
