Born and rooted in the NYC underground, Amy is a producer, DJ, and sound engineer shaped by her music composition studies at Berklee College of Music, a background that guides her ever evolving sound. Her music moves between intention and play, drifting through house, minimal, electro, deep, dub techno, and bent shades of jazz. Her artistic vision has been shaped by more than a decade of study, digging, producing, mixing, mastering, and living within the underground culture of New York City. She first stepped into the world of production and mixing records at the age of 15 through an internship at a NYC DJ and music production school, where long afternoons in the studio and trips to Halcyon and A1 Records opened the door to a deeper musical world. Her early mentors introduced her to the discipline behind the craft and helped refine her approach to sound. At the age of 17, she began performing at venues that helped shape Brooklyn’s underground dance music scene, such as TBA Brooklyn and Output. Her technical training later grew at SAE Institute NYC, where she explored recording, mixing, and mastering. She continues to explore the layers of her musical curiosity, shaping them into a sound that remains both intricate and personal. She has appeared alongside artists who inspire her, such as Priku, Sepp, Chklte, Cristian AB, Giammarco Orsini, O.bee, Tomas Station, Sweely, DJ W!LD, Acid Pauli, Guy J, Tinlicker, Liquid Earth, & more. He is a fixture on the NYC club circuit at such venues as Outer Heaven, Mansions, Elsewhere, h0L0, and is founder of the NYC club Signal. Jay Prouty (Brooklyn Sway, Praxis, Dojo Sessions, Cenote Records, NYC) Frankie Knuckles once said: “The minute you think you’re greater than the music you’re finished”. Most of us are still trying to identify the description of the term underground in today’s diversified world of electronic music, but Jay has mastered the description. His dj sets are a constant reminder that music is greater than us. Jay is a house music dj, producer, and vinyl connoisseur with over 20 years of experience, currently living in Brooklyn, NYC. He relocated to the Big Apple from Boston where he played an integral role in the development of the house music scene by exposing the city to new and up-coming artists: including first appearances by Booka Shade, Peace Division, Seth Troxler, Dyed Soundorom, and many more. As a dj, Jay held residencies at some of Boston’s most prominent clubs inducing Avalon and Rise Afterhours. Currently Jay is a regularly in the NYC and Washington DC club scenes with previous appearances at Output and regular appearances at TBA Brooklyn and Flash in DC, where he hosts a monthly event titled “Brooklyn Sway”, which showcases local Brooklyn underground heads. His all vinyl dj sets are a journey through the history of house music, weaving in the old with the new, with a focus on hypnotic rhythms and old skool acapellas. Straight out of Brooklyn, New York, Simon Heyliger is walking in the footsteps of some of the most recognized DJ's out today; who have all had an impact on his style. He was partying at Club Exit, a New York City Super Club in the late 90's, watching 3,000 people dancing and having the time of their lives when Simon realized his dream of touring the world and becoming an internationally known Disc Jockey. He wanted to be the one to provide this therapeutic enjoyment to the masses through dance music. And with that in mind, DJ Simon Heyliger was born. His unique style of spinning consists of electronic music genres such as House, Tech House and Techno. He is constantly inspired by legendary New York City disc jockey, Danny Tenaglia. Simon has spun at Pacha NYC, Cielo, District 36, Webster Hall, and Sullivan Room just to name a few.
