Who they are
“Bastian Bux is the consequence of reducing everything surrounding a DJ and producer to its essential element: the music.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Bastian Bux is the consequence of reducing everything surrounding a DJ and producer to its essential element: the music. That is the intention of Bux: be stripped of all artifice and be judged by his work. Pieces full of deep textures, powerful harmonies and heavy beats; where everything is assembled with soul and sensibility, with the mastery of a craftsman and surgeon's precision. His debut came with his ‘Stay’ EP on Suara, where four timeless tracks laid the foundations of what Bastian Bux means today: emotional techno, dark house, and high class electronica. Such was the success of the debut that a stream of brand new EPs saw the light under the best labels of the scene such as John Digweed’s highly acclaimed Bedrock Records, legendary Sven Vath's Cocoon, Nicole Moudaber’s esteemed label MOOD Records, whilst more recently returning back to Suara for his ‘Lights’ EP, that included remixes from the Dutch techno veteran Steve Rachmad and Fur Coat, or 'Somia' and 'Multiple Realities' where the Barcelona's native has defined his own personal vision of modern and timeless signature. In little over a couple of years, Bastian has seen his work supported by most of the underground’s heavyweights and his profile has risen accordingly. In front of a crowd, Bastian is able to travel elegantly from housy grooves to rough techno, going through epic melodies and sober beats, always loyal to his way of understanding music but without losing sight of the dancefloor. That ability has earned him the status one of the most eclectic residents for elrow, one of the most important brands in the world, based in Barcelona and Ibiza, and has seen him tour around the world in more than fourty countries. Featuring regularly at Space Ibiza in 2016 as part of his elrow residency, Bastian also performed at the historical Space Closing Fiesta. In 2017 Bastian then took his signature sound to Amnesia as part of his elrow residency, where he is present every summer. Other notable shows in recent months include performances at Ushuaïa Ibiza, Tomorrowland, Green Valley and supporting electronic icon Jean-Michele Jarre live in concert, as well as featuring at various venues and festivals across Europe, the Middle East, America, Asia and Oceania, proving that 2019 and beyond certainly looks bright for this new, up and coming techno wonder-kid.Their RA profile lists Cocoon Recordings, Desolat, HOTTRAX, Elrow Music and 2 more.Recently at Superior Ingredients, Musica Club NYC, Knockdown Center

“No one unites a club like Kerri Chandler.”
their own biography
the whole biography
No one unites a club like Kerri Chandler. No one’s kick kicks harder. No one’s keys carry more emotion. No crowd reacts with more energy than when the New Jersey great is behind the decks.. His life-long obsession with sound makes him famously meticulous about the setups of the clubs he plays, and that always results in electrifying sets of soulful, authentic, positive house music. Chandler has unquestionably helped shape the house landscape, not only from the booth and the studio, but also as an A&R. His Kaoz Theory label has worked with contemporary talents like Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers, while his influential MadHouse Records has just celebrated 25 years of agenda setting releases with a storytelling anniversary album. Proving he is at the vanguard of the scene are his critically acclaimed back-to-back sets with French protégé Jeremy Underground as Underground Kaoz at flagship festivals. His residency at the world famous DC10 and an ever full DJ diary that takes him on endless trips around the world are also testament to his on going vitality as an artist. Next to various awards and recognitions for his outstanding contribution to house music in recent years, Kerri has been on the cover of Mixmag, DJ Mag (UK and USA), and featured on Resident Advisor’s respected The Hour podcast series. In 2017, he served up a standout entry into the hallowed DJ-kicks mix series with a seamless selection featuring his own keys over an autobiographical and hugely personal mix that was like spending an afternoon in his living room with the man himself. Of course, Chandler came up in a different era, when no one cared about genres and all that mattered was bringing people together. His hometown was a cultural melting pot with different scenes round every corner, from funk to soul, jazz to hip hop. Those essential early learnings have stayed with him and mean he remains one of house music’s must see acts. He is someone who can join the dots and take you on a true musical adventure. He never fails to draw unreserved reactions from the dance floors he plays to, and always with a beaming smile of his own. As a producer, he is just as vital and unmatched, having started out as an impossibly young man working in studios. From his 1990 debut right up the present day, his peerless discography reads like an evolution of deep, soulful house music. Rather than mechanical grooves, he lays down spiritual rhythms that permeate every part of your body. He combines powerful, driving drums with heart swelling hooks to devastating effect. He is affectionately known as the ‘Stevie Wonder of house music,’ and for good, reason: over the years, he has laid down countless timeless tracks and albums that exude a rich musicality, brim with character and reach way outside the confines of the dance floor for their inspiration. His definitive cuts on labels like Atlantic, King Street Sounds, Nervous and his own Madhouse have spawned legions of copycats and generation after generation of new fans. Kerri Chandler, then, has been a house legend for many years, but what sets him apart is his unique ability to blend tradition with innovation in fascinating new ways.Their RA profile lists Large, NRK Music, King Street Sounds, Ibadan Records and 6 more.Recently at Knockdown Center, Brooklyn Hangar · often with Patrick Topping, Mike Servito, CatLadyHi, none of them here that night

Raised in Southern California with the now notoriously known motley crew called Desert Hearts, Marbs, an artistic kid, was primarily influenced by legends like Pink Floyd and Tool, while also listening to underground hip hop, reggae, and rock, displaying his no holds barred love for all genres from an early age. Flash forward to San Francisco's Love Fest, art cars roaming the city, house music spilling from speakers, and Marbs’ musical tastes were forever changed thanks to ruler of the house music game and party guru, Lee Burridge. After years of djing the San Diego, LA, and Burning Man party circuits, the Desert Hearts crew took it upon themselves to throw their own kind of party. One built on love, acceptance, and strictly, House and Techno, their 2012 one time gathering of 200 people in the Mojave (the coldest one ever, we swear!!) has turned into one of the most talked about and adored boutique festivals in the US. None of which could be possible without Marbs, lovingly coined, "Papa Bear", he is truly the backbone of the project behind the scenes, where he runs most of the logistics with a steady hand and a humble heart. He’s easily one of the nicest guys on the planet and is the most modest of the crew, which is insane given his endless barrage of talents beyond his musical endeavors. While Desert Hearts catapults successfully into the scene as a major player through their twice yearly festival, touring internationally throwing parties under the moniker City Hearts, and launching a (free!) record label, Marbs continues to hone his production skills and also blows the art game out of the water, hand drawing all of the label’s artwork and inspiring tattoo artists everywhere. Marbs’ musical talents and humble dj presence commands any dance floor with his sounds of mystical darkness and whimsical tribal rhythms; the night sky is the limit for this King of Darkness. With a sound like no other, a heart of gold, and a determination matched by few, Marbs is sure to lead this movement of love until the very happy end.Their RA profile lists Desert Hearts Records.Recently at Superior Ingredients, H0L0, Knockdown Center · often with Chellzz, Arianna Danae, Justin Marchacos, none of them here that night

Born in Rome, but currently based in the Italian capital of fashion and design, Milan, Isabella (aka Matisa) has been plugging away at her sound, formulating her signature energy that is bright, bubbling and emotional. Matisa picked up DJing in her mid-teens after feeling her creative expression was hindered by traditional musical instruments. After graduating with a degree in Political Science, with the prospect of working in government, Matisa felt her creative side yearning for more freedom, hence studying and later receiving a Masters in Fashion Product Management at Polimoda: one of the top fashion institutes in the world. Since her debut EP on Optimo Music in 2019, Matisa has released music with Permanent Vacation, Biologic Records, Dischi Autunno, Butter Sessions, On Loop and Steel City Dance Discs. 2023 releases include the hugely successful Tongue EP on Peggy Gou’s imprint GUDU Records and Cuddle EP on SOS Records. Matisa saw the new year in with a release on Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant - “Baby Disco EP”, her second EP of the year released in May 2024 on Permanent Vacation, a collaboration with Italian producer Volantis “Notte Paradiso”. The forthcoming releases include two singles set to drop on Future Classic. Gaining support from Dixon, Seth Troxler, Ben UFO, Jennifer Cardini, Gerd Janson, Nicola Cruz, Sally C, Moxie and Peggy Gou amongst many others, is all testament to her infectious energy. Now with no boundaries to artistic influence or expression and keeping strong ties with both the fashion and music industries, Matisa not only works and collaborates with top brands and talented designers but seamlessly and authentically ties both careers and passions together. “My music is born to inspire expression and encourage you to lose yourself in the moment.”Their RA profile lists !K7, Permanent Vacation, Running Back, Biologic Records and 6 more.Recently at Good Room, public records, 258 Meserole St - Open air · often with Berghain, Beste Hira, Pulsinger, none of them here that night
“Part mythical desert harlequin, part modern soul conductor, Mikey Lion is more than a DJ––He’s a freak of nature and a controller of energy.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Part mythical desert harlequin, part modern soul conductor, Mikey Lion is more than a DJ––He’s a freak of nature and a controller of energy. The San Diego-native has earned a dusty mystique over the past few years as the center of the Desert Hearts movement and as a house and techno provocateur with a stage presence that suggests he will ride this wave all the way to the top. If there's one thing Mikey does well, it's get the party started. Lion has brought the mothafuckin' ruckus to the stages of Lightning in a Bottle, the dustiest storms at Burning Man, and The Do LaB at Coachella, earning nods from Claude VonStroke, Jamie Jones, and Green Velvet in the process. In doing so, Lion and his signature top hat have developed a boisterous voice in the House & Techno scene with strong tribal, hip-hop, and psychedelic elements. But it all started with Wu-Tang and Daft Punk. Lion first found his way behind the decks as a thirteen year old kid, scratching underground hip-hop records religiously after school. At Coachella as a seventeen year old, he witnessed that legendary Daft Punk performance on the same night he tasted his first dose of psychedelics. The show had such a monumental impact on him, he gave up Hip-Hop and became a House DJ the very next day. After honing his craft with weekly marathon DJ sessions at Sala Razzmatazz in Barcelona, Mikey was introduced to Burner culture at Lightning in a Bottle, 2011. It was at his first Burning Man in 2011 that he found a community calling and merged forces with his brother Porkchop, life long friends Marbs & Deep Jesus, and the inimitable Lee Reynolds to form The Desert Hearts Crew. In November 2012, Desert Hearts began as a seedy, 200-person renegade gathering deep in the Mojave Desert. The intrepid crew barely survived a set of extreme weather conditions and unfortunate circumstances, but that first party sparked a fire. The entire point of that first Desert Hearts was to create as much love as humanly possible, and now that same gathering has evolved into the darling of the West Coast house and techno scene. The Bi-annual festival is capped at 3500 attendees in order to create the best possible vibe. Built upon beautiful people getting as weird as possible to deep and trippy house and techno, Desert Hearts has already achieved iconic status in the North American Festival Scene. Desert Hearts has given rise to a family of thousands and it's safe to call it a bonafide movement of love. And while Desert Hearts Records launched in 2014 as a totally-free record label, pushes the sonic aesthetic of the scene, the crew’s busy international calendar of bookings has the DH message spreading far and wide. At the center of it all is Mikey Lion, the dusty prince of desert hearts, a beacon of weird far and wide, and one of this generation’s most compelling agents of love.Their RA profile lists Desert Hearts Records.Recently at Superior Ingredients, Under the K Bridge, Brooklyn Mirage · often with Arianna Danae, SHADED, CЯSPY, none of them here that night

“DJ/producer Prunk is working at his own pace, but this doesn’t mean he’s taking things slow.”
their own biography
the whole biography
DJ/producer Prunk is working at his own pace, but this doesn’t mean he’s taking things slow. His label PIV, which he started in 2015, has been steadily releasing EP’s, like his own production ‘Sexy Brasil’ for instance. The EP was released on the imprint in the spring of 2016. Next to being head honcho of the label and producing records, Prunk has been playing gigs around the world, with Brazil (D.EDGE, São Paulo) and Bali (Jenja) as two of his main features. Prunk, who’s been dj-ing for over 10 years, has found himself the perfect way to remain relevant and relaxed and that’s by doing all he’s doing his own way, together with people he likes working with. This relaxed attitude towards his dj-ing, plus his infectious vibe in the booth got him resident for Straf_Werk. Prunk is also regular at DGTL, this year he played for their festival in Barcelona as well. It’s not just Prunk’s relaxed approach that gets him to play the gigs he does though. His warm and sexy, but always dancefloor orientated and uplifting sound that finds its influences in artists like Kerri Chandler, Djebali, Mark Farina and Mr Ks is definitely attracting attention from many promoters as well. These past two year he’s played at places like Miami, Dominican Republic, Moscow, Monaco, Barcelona, Austria, São Paulo, Switzerland and many Dutch festivals like Awakenings, Amsterdam Open Air, Verknipt Festival and Loveland Festival. With his Indonesian roots, playing at Bali’s finest club Jenja, where he’s been asked back twice, feels like a homecoming party to Prunk. While playing at Sao Paolo’s high-end club D.EDGE was nothing less of a dream either. Coming year sees more respected gigs for Prunk with another round of Amsterdam Open Air, Nassau Festival, All We Want Festival, Welcome to the Future Festival and the highly anticipated PIV stage hosting at The Ark; a party cruise which sets sail in Barcelona and then travels to Ibiza. From the start of the PIV label Prunk has been hosting labelnights at clubs like Chicago Social Club, De Marktkantine, Annabel and also in Malta. PIV has found its newest residency in Amsterdam’s freshest club Claire, where the first edition in April has Paolo Rocco and Mr Ks are on the line-up next to Chris Stussy and himself. It is with Stussy that Prunk has found his sparring partner. Prunk scouted the young artist a couple of years ago, as he also did with Bas Roos. Prunk and Stussy have played multiple gigs together, but they also spent time in the studio. Which resulted in the release of the ‘Material’ EP on EWax in the winter of 2016. Another production by the duo, the ‘Life EP’, was released on Moulton Music. Both EP’s caught the attention of vocalist Alex Mills, who you can hear on Miguel Campbell’s hit Something Special. Prunk and Mills hooked up in the studio with No Cure as a result. Together with Roos he produced the track What I Do, which found its way unto the Defected in the house Ibiza 2016 compilation. By the look of things Prunk has found his place in the fast moving world of dj-ing and producing and it doesn’t seem he’s going anywhere soon.Their RA profile lists Defected Records, King Street Sounds, Nite Grooves, Nervous Records and 6 more.Recently at Avant Gardner, Kings Hall - Avant Gardner, SILO · often with Armii1n, Bea Trinidad, Lauren Ritter, none of them here that night
