“Four Tet is the electronic outlet for the solo work of Keiran Hebden.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Four Tet is the electronic outlet for the solo work of Keiran Hebden. First single was the 36-minute ‘Thirtysixtwentyfive’ on Trevor Jackson's Output Recordings label (1998). ‘Dialogue’ was Four Tet's first full-length album, fusing hip-hop drum lines with dissonant jazz samples. In 2001, Four Tet's second album ‘Pause’ was released on Domino and found Hebden using more folk and electronic samples, which was quickly dubbed "folktronica", while “Rounds”, Hebden's most ambitious album to date, was released in May 2003. In March and April of 2005, Four Tet performed two shows of improvisational music, in collaboration with jazz drummer Steve Reid, in Paris and London. He also appears on Steve Reid Ensemble 2005 album Spirit Walk. This collaboration was extended into a series of international tours, and the release of two albums, The Exchange Session Vol. 1 and The Exchange Session Vol. 2 over the course of 2005 and 2006. Hebden has also remixed artists including Madvillain, Bloc Party, Super Furry Animals, Beth Orton, Badly Drawn Boy, The Notwist, Boom Bip, Kings of Convenience and Radiohead.Their RA profile lists !K7, Output Recordings, Domino, Text Records and 3 more.Recently at Nowadays, Under the K Bridge · often with Wata Igarashi, Budino, Berghain, none of them here that night

“Through both time in the studio and time on the road, Jamie Roberts has dedicated the last decade to developing his alias, Blawan – and in the process, he’s created a universe within techno that’s all his own.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Through both time in the studio and time on the road, Jamie Roberts has dedicated the last decade to developing his alias, Blawan – and in the process, he’s created a universe within techno that’s all his own. Roberts grew up in Barnsley, UK and from an early age was etching out his musical path as a drummer – a relic of the past which should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with his productions. Indeed, his discography as Blawan illuminates a natural fluency for rhythm, whether straight, stridently syncopated, or swinging somewhere in between. His other aliases, Kilner and Bored Young Adults, like his collaborations with Pariah as Karenn and with Surgeon as Trade, have provided additional bandwidth for experimentation. Having released across the board of rippling jet-black minimalism, jubilant two-step vocal cuts, and savant grooving techno, the labels Roberts has worked with are appropriately varied: Hessle Audio, R&S, Clone’s Basement Series, Hinge Finger, and Black Sun as Blawan, plus The Trilogy Tapes and Avian under his other solo names. Roberts’ own label, TERNESC, was established in 2015 and has served as the home for his last five releases as Blawan. Having made the move to Berlin in 2015, his analogue-driven studio production and formidable live sets have propelled Roberts into exciting new directions, even as he maintains expert command of more traditional dance floor environments from behind the decks. His latest offering, the full-length Wet Will Always Dry, dropped in June 2018. It’s a breakthrough moment in Roberts’ discipline of auditory alchemy, and a tour-de-force of ambitious, nuanced techno for fans following his ever-explorative career.Their RA profile lists Clone Records, Hessle Audio, Dynamic Reflection, Black Sun Records and 6 more.often with Tracey, Mobilegirl, Dj Babatr, none of them here that night

“The Amsterdam-born, London-based DJ's rise to becoming one of the underground's most loved figures is a story of sheer dedication.”
their own biography
the whole biography
The Amsterdam-born, London-based DJ's rise to becoming one of the underground's most loved figures is a story of sheer dedication. Her introduction came through online channel Boiler Room, where her personality managing the door at events landed her a spot hosting shows for the burgeoning platform. A regular spot on world renowned radio station Rinse FM soon followed, where her knack for discovering new music and ability to connect with guests shone through, quickly racking up regular listeners from all over the globe in their thousands. As a born grafter, when she isn't selling out headline shows the world over at venues such as London’s O2 Academy Brixton and KOKO, Amsterdam’s Paradiso and Barcelona’s Razzmatazz, as well as hosting her very own stages at Glastonbury Festival, and headlining other festivals globally, Jyoty is dedicated to use her platform to give back to communities. In a nod to her Indian heritage, she has hosted DJ workshops for women in Calcutta alongside the British Council, and taught a six week course for young British Asian women looking to break into the music industry. Of these experiences, she says: "Passing on knowledge and experience is key to making a real change in music” In just a few years Jyoty has become a force of the industry in her own right. From the release of her first remix to sold out headline tours in Europe, Australia and North America and to being requested by the likes of Burberry, Jacquemus, GANNI and Prada to lead various musical experiences, Jyoty is proving herself as someone who is showing no signs of slowing down, and most definitely doesn’t wish to be seen as any one particular thing. Jyoty is here to represent good music and isn’t limiting how she does that.Recently at Elsewhere, Knockdown Center, public records · often with Belinda Becker, Sterling Juan Diaz, Shyboi, none of them here that night

Mala came to prominence as a founding member of DMZ, the crew behind some of modern bass music’s most influential dances and the most highly prized 12"s the movement has produced. Almost 20 years later, his ideas and creations continue to influence and shape contemporary electronic music, pushing it into new and uncharted spaces. In 2025, Mala’s 2006 track “Anti War Dub” was voted No. 2 in Resident Advisor’s Favourite Music of the Century. In a year that celebrated his early work, he also released “Militant Don” with Nigerian pidgin rap artist Magugu — his first single on DEEP MEDi MUSIK in over a decade. In 2026, Mala returns to the U.S. 🇺🇸 for the debut Longform Tour. Extended, uninterrupted sets that honour the roots of dubstep, sound-system culture, and its global evolution. “Overmono were on a roll before lockdown.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Overmono were on a roll before lockdown. As the top YouTube comment for their Joy Orbison collaboration track ‘Bromley’ put it, “so this is the track that was on every 5 minutes at Warehouse Project. ”That track and the duo’s own ‘Le Tigre’ were played out constantly by the likes of Four Tet and Ben UFO, the former also hiring the duo to remix his track ‘Teenage Birdsong’. Then there are their edits. Thom Yorke was so impressed by the duo’s versions of ‘Not The News’that he let them release the tracks on their own Polykicks label. Add to that their cheeky version of Rosalia –‘A Palé’,which caught the ear and the eye of the respected flamenco artist, as well as being a highlight of their live performances pre-lockdown. Then the world abruptly stopped, all their forthcoming gigs were cancelled and suddenly Overmono were able to fully commit their energy to their legendary Bromley studio. It’s was during this time that the duo feel they’ve been able to realise exactly what Overmono’s music should be. “Our work together had so far been about exploring and defining what Overmono is... and we feel like we’ve got this now”.Their RA profile lists XL Recordings and Poly Kicks.Recently at Brooklyn Paramount

“Krithi is a Chennai-born, Brooklyn-based music producer, DJ, and music tech educator.”
their own biography
the whole biography
Krithi is a Chennai-born, Brooklyn-based music producer, DJ, and music tech educator. With a distinct sonic signature marked by percussive intricacies and genre-blending innovation, Krithi has carved a unique space for herself in the contemporary music landscape. With roots in Jazz and Carnatic vocals, Krithi took an unexpected yet exciting turn in 2020 to create instrumental-only percussive rich music that provides a rhythmic escapade to captivate listeners. The boundaries between genres blur, and her beats tell stories of cultural intersections and sonic experimentation. Her self-released projects include “Padapadappu,” “Nilap-parappu” and “Uyirudan,” while she has also contributed to compilation projects by the newly launched label Bubblin’ (BB001) and UK-based collective Daytimers (DT001). When she's not cooking up beats, she works for Building Beats and We Make Noise NYC (fka Beats by Girlz NYC), two US-based organizations dedicated to making music technology more accessible for marginalized communities. She has also launched her own teaching project “kuttiBEATS” (“kutti” means child or little one in Tamil)—an online platform that allows kids and young adults to tap into their experience as digital natives and express their creativity through music tech.Recently at Mood Ring, Jade, About Last Night · often with Sana, S7IK, Saphe, none of them here that night
